Well, I went even though I wasn't gonna. (Appleton, WI).

Wasn't too picked over and they had every game I wanted:

Rainbow Six 3 (with communicator headset) - SCORE!!!
Spyro
Robotech:Invasion

Worked out pretty good. Getting the RB6:3 headset was worth the 30min trip (although it would have been sweeter if the headset and communicator were separate).

Overall, I'm glad I went and spent $30 that I didn't have.

I hit up the Tallahassee CC today, came away with .hack//Outbreak, Siren, Samurai Warriors, Gladius, Amplitude, Hitman: Contracts, and Destruction Derby Arenas. They have a fair selection of PS2 and XB left, very few GC and GBA. All of the popular titles are gone, mostly the sports games and lesser known titles.
 
Was able to stop back today . . . didn't want to buy too many yesterday . . .

They had the SOCOM with headset but it scanned $24.96 . . . too bad
Picked up: Bloodrayne 2, Siren, Psi-Ops (all PS2 and each $5 after BB coupon)
that $15 will get me $30 credit at EB! (when traded in on a Madden preorder)

Also got an extra POPWW for GC (they had a few) . . . anyone dying for one?

i feel sorry for the lady hoarding all of the gba movies if she is looking at reselling them she is going to have a long long wait. I picked up 3 gba videos and hated them all

some pokemon one (got free after 5 buck coupon)
And 2 catoon network packages (got 3.50 each at CC after PM from Eb)

the sound and picture is alot better playing them on the DS i couldnt stand watching them on the SP
 
ok folks stopped at my local CC today by the trumbull mall. For those in CT living near trumbull they are running out of selections. I got

Project Snowblind (PS2)
Hitman Contracts (XBOX)
Samurai Warriors (PS2)
F-Zero GX (GC)

They are already out of alot of games only thing they had alot of was Blood Rayne II for PS2 and 13 for several systems. They also had 2 copies of Viet Cong purple haze and Yughio Duels or what not. Plenty in XIII for all consoles except GC. There was one copy of nanobreakers but I did not pick that up.

I was a bit disappointed especially since I was not able to get Theif 3 and Batan Kaitos but ehh that's life.

The La Cienega store in LA had a few of the bundle. It was both packed together with a red Greatest Hits packaging, if I remember correctly. As I have both games on PS2 and Xbox, I didn't think much of it.
 
Yesterday, I was at my local CC as the store opened, and myself and several other were disappointed as there wasn't a sale game to be found. The ignorant and/or lying clerk said everything they had was on the shelves, nothing in the back storeroom. Obviously, we all left empty-handed.

Just on a hunch, I stopped by the same location this afternoon, and lo and behold, a magic bin clearly marked as $9.99 sale games where yesterday there had only been stacks of their regular $19.99 games. (I knew they couldn't possibly have sold every last sale game at retail prices before this week's sale.)

Today wasn't too bad (as I did still manage to find a couple of games I wanted), but It really irritates me that I bothered to get there early on the first day of the sale to find nothing (and their ignorant staff members didn't help matters). Damn you, CC, you've really gone down hill since last year.
 
The CC in Temecula, CA had quite a few games. I picked up SNK vs. Capcom and KOF. I should have gotten Baten Kaitos, but I'm a bit low on money. They still have lots of different games as of around 4pm yesterday, so anyone in the area should check it out.
Also, I'm looking for a copy of MTV Music Generator for xbox if anyone has a spare. Thanks.

Actually I may get Joe part 1.

My 6 year old loves Thug2 for GCN. 9.96 is a friggin steal.

I wonder if these games will be cleared out in the next month or so. Some are really old and I don't see why CC would want to keep the ones around that dont sell for $10.

Viewtiful Joe 1 is excellent on ps2... it's worth 9.99 just to play as Dante - he has a story mode made just for him (and it's hilarious, it makes fun of him the whole time).

It's easily better than the Gamecube version.

I just came back from the a San Antonio CC (the one near the old Windsor Park Mall). Not a lot of stuff there besides sports games. I picked up the last copy of Bloodrayne 2 (PS2). Saw some other PS2 games I thought about getting (Project Snowblind, Rumble Roses, KOF:MI) but decided to hold off. They also had copies Tekken Tag Tournament GH for $10.

The link on the frontpage that goes to CC's website shows 02/03, though it says "Collector's edition". The description is for 02/03 as well. Now, it is sold out...

Went back today. Picked up Breakdown and Suffering. I was about to pick up HItman Contracts, but decided not to.

When I was looking through their stacks (not their bins), they have about 15 copies of Final Fantasy CC and Tony Hawk 4. It'll be nice if they put CC in the sale...

If anyone has an extra copy of Riddick, I'm interested in buying the copy off of you.
 
The King of Fighters is King of Fighters Maximum Impact both online and off. Someone messed up one the site and I bet the people who ordered online will get MI.

I picked up a RS3 w/headset($10) today and there were plenty of Socoms but those rang up at $30.
 
Picked up Breakdown, Mafia and SNK vs. Capcom for the Xbox, as well as Hitman 2 for $7.99.

I also got King of Fighters: Maximum Impact for PS2.

It is a shame that I couldn't get Baten Kaitos or The Suffering though. I really wanted them.
 
Didn't see anything at mine.....

I did see Street RAcing Syndicate, but it was not in the bin and I was in a hurry. They had a few DS games, but I really only wanted BloodRayne2 or Project Snowblind.

Also, it LOTR:ROTK (XBOX) still $7.99...they had that too, but it was not marked accordingly either. How long do these sale price last?

I just really had nothing to do Sunday so I figured I would be sure I wanted the games I had (I ended up putting some I was looking at back) and since some new people came in I figured I would help them find their games too.

There are certain aspects of PS2 better then GC (Dante, difficulty modes) but Viewtiful Joe on GC is better graphically - PS2 has slowdown and less transparencies.

Exactly... the only reason I actually DID get it on PS2 was for Dante... as for the second game, I got it on GC since it is a more powerful system
 
OK - I had kind of an odd experience today getting my price adjustments. First the girl went over and verified that there was indeed a bin of $9.99 games. After coming back, she said, "I didnt even know we had those back there." She then proceeded to run through the receipt to PA my games. She then asked, "Are these supposed to be $9.99 or $9.99 off cause the computer is just taking $9.99 off." I told her that they are $9.99. She continued. She mentioned how she had to do them one by one (I bought 13 games I think....one was not on the $9.99 list). After a while someone else came up and they had to run their transaction through this persons register for some reason. So the girl helping me said, "OK, I am almost done," referring to my transaction. About 2 minutes later she printed up my new receipt and told me you got $XX back on my credit card. I didn't really pay attention to how much she said cause I was kinda in a hurry. I then start checking my receipt on the way home and noticed that she was just going down the line and taking the $$$ off manually to make them all $9.99 and decided to stop about half way through. She even took $$$ off the one that was not supposed to be $9.99. She obviously stopped early to get rid of me and start helping the other person cause all of the rest of the games were supposed to be $9.99, but didn't get adjusted.

I just hope that these prices are lasting longer than just 2 days because if they are not, I am sure I'll have trouble getting the rest adjusted. If thath happens I guess this'll be more trouble than it's worth cause I'll have to put in a call to corporate to try and get it figured out. Worst case is that I have to return some of these games, which wouldn't be a huge deal, but it sucks nonetheless. I'll admit it was partially my fault though for not making sure she did it right the first time. :roll:

On a side note, I am gonna start a trade thread with the few extras I got for people. This CC was tapped out for the most part so I didn't get much, but someone might be interested in what I do have.
 
While my internet is actually up (looking to score a hefty credit from my ISP for this nonsense)...

In case the clearance prices do continue past today (since it's a little late), selection really isn't an issue. The selection at both of my local stores is just awful, so I asked customer service at CC to print out the price of Baten Kaitos, told them I wanted it to do a price match elsewhere since they were out of stock, and Sears had no problem matching that for their $29.99 copy (other than grumbling between associates that CC was selling it for $20 cheaper). This came out to $8.49 after tax. So realistically, assuming the CC systems keep these prices for any longer, you should be able to price match any game if you can find it in stock elsewhere.

should be happy you got those prices down. I went yesterday and the told was telling people that they were TOLD NOT TO PRICE Down games that people got before. This was a 2 Day sale and anything that was got before these two days do not count towards 9.99 games. Most the games were pulled by last tuesday (when i went to seee if they had any) I guess im glad i didnt buy them ahead of time)
 
I stopped into my local Circuit City today to see if there was anything left. They still had Ark the Lad and Viewtiful Joe for the PS2. I made sure to bring my Best Buy coupon, but when I went to the counter to buy those two games, they refused to redeem my coupon because it mentions in the fine print that it cannot be used on clearance items. It's true it's fair, but it still kinda sucked. I ended up passing on the games.

I was told the same thing too when I went to a different CC location today... the CSR said that somebody had STOLEN the clearance games list a few days early and they were told NOT TO PM games bought before the sale. PERIOD... Forget the 10% difference, they weren't even willing to PM the games to $9.96.

Fustrated at the denial, I went back to the original CC store where I bought the games a week before the sale (I was able to get the PM on Saturday but the CSR said NO 10% difference). I got a different clerk today (Sunday) and he intially denied me. But then he went to this backroom to talk to his manager (took 5-minutes for some reason) and he cleared me for the extra 10% difference.

A lot of trouble for just a $6.48 refund (Baiten Kaitos, Transformers, RR)... I bought 15 games for the full $9.96 on Saturday. I'm glad I didn't pick those up before the sale otherwise they would have flat out denied me.. Anybody with games bought before the sale should PM ASAP for the 10% difference, before word trickles out to all CC's (or return them and buy back right away).

Try another location, some locations are staffed by morons and a-holes.
I had that problem at one CC with Nanobreaker. It was not in system at $9.96 and there was "no way in hell" they where going to confirm the price. I went to another location and got the adjustment.

I tried the BB coupons as well, and that was a no-go, as it was a "sale"
 
Came back from my local CC and picked up the last Nanobreaker and Nascar Thunder 2004 (Xbox).

Had some decent games still left like:
THUG 2 (GC)
GTA Double Pack (PS2, still a lot)
LOTR ROTK (GBA)
Hitman Contracts (PS2 & Xbox)

Was kinda disappointed because there was no Baten Kaitos or Bloodrayne 2 (Xbox).
 
Picked up Siren, but for some reason passed on Chronicles of Riddick and Snowblind for Xbox.


Just a few questions - is Snowblind worth it? I already know Riddick is...

and how long is this clearance/sale for? Until all the games are gone?
 
I was at cc today in aurora, oh and picked up srs and bloodrayne 2 for ps2. I also found a karaoke revolution in the 9.99 bin. When i went to the register they said it was not in there system and he would need to get a manager. She came over and after about 15 minutes said it is not in are system as being in stock, I have been looking for this for awhile and asked how much it was. I was willing to pay 19.99 or less, she replied " sorry it is not in are system so i can not sell it to you i have to discard it." she then turned around and opened it, removed the disc and threw it in the trash can. doing buss. like this is why cc will be out of buss. in a short time.
