I just wanted to officially thank the OP for the great deal I got. (I am on my 3rd day of straight gaming and my thumb is numb)
I just finished a maraton session playing Tony Hawk Underground 2. In fact, I had not used my Cube in a month or so. Now I have Baten Kaitos, Prince of Persia Warrior Within and my son's new Hawk game (which I like alot!) to play on this system. Let's not forget Rainbow 6 3 w/ headset and Robotech Invasion for Xbox that I bought. Best $50 I have spent in a long time. Blisters are going to form soon.




Like many of you out there...........I have plenty of games to play.
 
I got King of Fighters Maximum Impact Collector's Edition (PS2) and SVC Chaos SNK vs Capcom (Xbox) for $9.99 each. There are still tons of copies of SVC Chaos left at my CC. Was thinking of getting Onimusha Blade Warriors... is that game any good?

The controls take a while to get used to, but it's overall a great game. It's good at $10, but use the BB coupon to get it for $5 and it's a steal.

I don't post much but I'd just like to say that these forums have the LEAST ammount of bad apples I've ever seen in a LARGE online forum community. Gamefaqs has A LOT, fatwallet isn't that large but I read several posts on their forums once about people reselling games they hoarded and it irritated me... Anyway I am rambling. In short, this is prolly the best large online community i've seen thus far.

I'm sorry in the discussion of a FEW CC employees created ill feelings. In no way would I imply you are less than intelligent. Simply looking at your writing would verify your a pretty bright guy.

Here is Southern California, we have some of the worst customer service around. I've been to many other states, and So. Cal is the worst, service wise. From wanna-be gangstas at McDonalds, too cool to take your order, to employees at Robison's May talking about yeast infections, I've seen it all here.

So I hope no offense was taken about the discussion of a few IQ-Challenged workers.
 
I have to say I was pleasantly surprised when I went to CC tonight. I was vacationing and couldn't take advantage of the deal while gone.

Yet I picked up 3 of the games I wanted.

They had more than a few copies of the above but Hitman, Manhunt, and a few others.

The idiots aren't the exclusive province of CC, I know that all too well. Around here, there's more of them at other stores than CC, which is why I go to CC over BB, given the choice of the same item for the same price.

"Yell" at the person in question, don't generalize. And if it's bad enough, tell someone who can fix the problem about it, don't whine about it on here. :roll:

I was really surprised to see so much left at the Hickory Hollow (Nashville) CC tonight. I got the next to last RSix3 w/ Headset (an employee took the last one, I believe), and the last Project Snowblind (Xbox, there were several PS2 copies left). Games that I specifically remember were not out on the floor: Thief (Xbox), PoP:WW (GC), THUG 2 (GC), .dot Hack (PS2), SVC Chaos (Xbox), KOF (PS2). The employee said there were a bunch more games in back that couldn't be put out until the bins had more room, but I didn't have a lot of time, so I didn't ask about titles. There are still dozens of games in the bins, some of which I had a hard time passing up.

Did you really have to quote the WHOLE OP??? And Socom was not part of the sale anymore. Some people got in on it but the majority of people that tried to get it, didn't have any luck with it.
 
how did any of you guys get the BB coupon to work? i went there tonite and one of the ladies workin there said that they dont take coupons....should i try a different approach or somethin?

only thing i can tell you is to try another store. Youre going to have a hard time convincing them to match a competitors coupon on a Clearance sale

REally? I (and the other CAGs) must have gotten lucky with Socom (w/headset). My CC had about 8+ of them (all gone now) marked with a $9.99 sticker and I picked up 3 to give away so that me and my friends can communicate with the headset during our bouts of Norrath and Return to Arms.
 
I printed off CC's site the price for Baten Kaitos. What stores do you think would price match that? Also, there are some copies of Baten Kaitos with a soundtrack?
 
I dropped by my local CC last night to check out what was available and they now had a bin with some $9.99 games but they still had numerous games available on the regular shelfspace that were not marked as on sale. So I picked up Shellshock Nam 67 for the hell of it and tried to purchase the socom with headset for $9.99(They had 5 or 6 of them) but it rang up at $29.99 so I passed on that. They still had a very nice amount of $9.99 games left though.

I matched Baten Kaitos, WWE Day of Reckoning, and SRS at Sears--during their 10% on sears card sale. Got them for a little over $7.00 each.

I matched Ridge Racer for DS at Walmart, and it took about 45 minutes to argue with the clerk about it--soo worth it. =D
 
Didn't think I was going to find anything left yesterday, but I was able to find Riddick, GTA bundle and transformers at the Montebello,ca one. But still no luck getting the Socom w/headset:cry:

I struck out on finding Baiten Kaitos yesterday, but did pick up Transformers & Outlaw Volleyball. It didn't look like their bin had been picked through too much, I just don't think they had much good to start with. :(
 
Are any of these games worth trying to buy and trade in to EB for some credit towards my 360? I have never traded in games before from sales like this so I have no idea how to go about it.

No none of them are. They are only worth buying if you intend to play them.
 
I picked up KOF: MI (will hold me over until Maniax comes down in price), Ridge Racer DS for my son (I already have it for my PSP), and F-Zero GX from my local CC. I am thinking about going back today and picking up a couple of others. They had mainly GBA games and videos in the clearance bin, with a number of $9.99 games still on the shelf. The sales clerk asked me where I found the list of games.

If anyone has a .Hack Outbreak out there, I'd be interested in getting it, preferably through a trade. If they can find it at their CC, I'd appreciate someone picking it up.

You could probably EBay some of the better deals, such as R63 with headset, Riddick, or POP WW, and make a nice little profit. NEVER trade in GAMES (systems are okay; shipping usually kills these on EBay) to EB, unless they have a special, particularly one without exlusions.
 
Would anybody who can easily go to Circuit City be willing to pick up a copy of any of these:

Seeing as all the Circuit Cities around me (DC area) have sold out, I figured it was worth a shot to ask (since I don't have much to lose here).
It'd be greatly appreciated (since I have more free time than I'd like, at least for the rest of the week, having tweaked my ankle during fourth of july weekend sports activities...I won't be going anywhere..bleh)

there was a few over at the Roseville, MN CC. I saw Onimusha Blade Warriors, Second Sight, Nightmare of Drauga, SVC Chaos, Robotech Invasion, Siren, Tony Hawk 4, Ping Pals, Spyro, Midway Arcade Treasures 2, and several others.

I picked up Robotech Invasion, and i was brousing through the other racks of games, the full price games, and i saw Tony Hawk Underground 2 for GC (1 left) priced at 49.99$ I brought it up and it WAS 9.96$!!!

So i ended up getting Roboech Invasion and Tony Hawk Underground 2, not bad for being 4 days late to get there but im a little dissapointed they didnt have any Project Snowblind.........

No dice, the ebay value for everything in the CC sale has fallen so far that after fees and what not you'll be gaining almost nothing (and in some cases losing a bit).
 
all the CC i checked had most of what i wanted, but not 2 in particular. anyone have any extra Mega Man Anniversary Collection (GC) or The Suffering (xbox) they could part with?

i could pay, or trade if you are interested in anything the stores near me have.
