Is Beowulf really that bad? I was tempted to get it. From what I read it kinda reminded me a bit of Viking and I love that game.
I got about 10 minutes in before I traded it on Goozex.

Just got GRAW2 in the mail. Really weird though....The game was wrapped in the "good" plastic from the factory. None of that cheap platic wrap stuff. It cam in a solid green case, one of the original Xbox cases. The manual also looks like it's been flipped through various times(looks used). Luckily the game disc is flawless. Very weird...almost like it was repackaged or something.

That's really strange. Did it have the greatest hits art, or the original?

Everything is original non-greatest hits.

I got mine too, and it's just like yours. I noticed something fishy when the Microsoft seal wasn't on the side where you open the case. The disc doesn't have any scratches or anything and the game works fine, and the manual looks ok. I just noticed that the listing on Newegg doesn't indicate that the box is Retail, so maybe that's why it's only $10.

How weird...I didn't even look for the MS seal. Oh well for $10 it aint bad cuz it works just fine and it's complete I guess.

Dark Sector is such an underrated game. I was always turned off from the game because of reviews and the demo which I thought sucked. After beating it I have to admit it's a lot better then what the reviews are saying and much better then the demonstration. Huge steal for 10 bucks and you can pick it up at a WalMart near you for only a dollar more.

NBA Homecourt is easy achievement points. You can get the majority of them easily.

I'm definitely thinking about getting Kameo.

Is Splinter Cell Double Agent any good? Is it like Metal Gear? I have MGS4 on PS3 and I loved it but I never played any of the Splinter Cell games.

Lol, funny how I joined in 2006 and make my first post 3 years later.

it sounds like they are new, shrinkwrapped and complete...it's just that they aren't retail which means the wrapping is slightly different and it might not have the side seal

There is no such thing as a "retail" versus a "non-retail" copy of an Xbox 360 game with the exception of pack-in games which say "not for resale" on the cover. If it's a new/factory sealed game, it has the side seal. If it doesn't have that seal, it's not a new game. This would not be the first time New Egg has sold resealed or used games as new, intentional or not. You may want to take a look at the Halo Legendary thread where something similar happened.

Yeah, I wouldn't blame anyone for being upset about getting a game without the factory seal or wrapping, which helps identify it as new. This isn't gamestop/gamecrazy we're talking about...

Hey, i was looking around newegg and they've got WWE Legends of Wrestlemania for 39.99 With free shipping. cheapest i've seen it so i thought i'd post it here.

I just got my copy and it's the non-greatest hits version (yay) but it was definitely not new either. It's strange how it has the standard shrink wrap that only new games usually have, but at the same time the seal was gone. Actually, there was a tiny piece of the seal still attached on the case, so that's how I can confirm it is for sure repackaged. My disk was perfect, and my case was an XBOX 360 case, not an XBOX original case like someone earlier reported.

I'd like to hear a response from newegg on this. I don't want to be sold games that are supposed to be new that are really used.
My copy of GRAW 2 didn't even come with a manual and the disc has scratches all over it.
WTF, Newegg?
Holy shit that's rough. Give Newegg an email, that's totally unacceptable.

I had a similar problem with my GRAW 2 for the 360. The game was sealed as it should've been in cellophane, but did not have the MS seal on the side and is in a standard XBox game case. The booklet and disc look ok, though the disc has a considerable amount of dust on it - definitely not like any brand new games I've ever opened.

I called up Newegg customer service and explained the problem - they're sending out a free replacement via next-day air, no need to return the one I received. Give that a shot if you're not happy with your order.

EDIT:

I'm interested to see what the GRAW 2 replacement looks like...

what.the.hell

Got GRAW2, and like everyone else, not factory sealed. The plastic cover (not the shrink wrap) has punctures all over it, the cover itself is warped, but it did have the manual. Disc had dust all over it.

But here's the kicker (cell phone pics ahoy!):
When I opened the case up, this is what I see.

In case it's too hard to read...

It's disappointing. I have bought stuff occasionally with them for years, and never had anything to complain about.

Received Simpsons, Lost, and Kameo today. All three were factory sealed, so it appears that the problem is limited to GRAW2 only.

Kameo is platinum hits, if anyone is wondering. That isn't really surprising, of course, considering how long it has been PH.

thanks for the pics. that's really weird! does the disc look new? maybe they've been repairing them or something

i got splintercell and graw2 today. and like the others, mine looks like a resealed game - no certificate of authenticity sticker. manual looks ok but cd wasn't as pristine.

Well, called up CS, but didn't have the same luck waxhead did. Was told that they were OOS, and would receive a shipment in 3-5 days. Was credited back for the game, and if I still want it, I'll have to order again.

The game does freeze at loadings too, so at this point, I have an official Tom Clancy Coaster.

i got splinter cell and ghost recon 2. I believe my ghost recon 2 is new, i mean its sealed but I don't see a certificate on the side? hmmm

Edit: Also ghost recon 2 is not the greatest hits edition

Time to break out the torches and pitchforks? I ordered Jericho (guilty pleasure) for PS3 and it was not factory sealed but everything was in new condition. The game worked great too bad for the gameplay. As long as the game works and it includes the manual and box in near mint condition it shouldn't matter because the first thing you do is tear the shrink wrap off to play the game. Ghost Recon 2 is a steal at $10 with free shipping to boot and no tax for me. For the CAGs that received scratched up disks and wonky packaging for GR2 they should contact New Egg for a replacement. Their customer service is pretty good so they should take care of the problem. Now if they don't ...bonfire anyone:)

I emailed them about GRAW2 not being factory sealed and looking used(disc in perfect shape but manual and case are not "new". They emailed me back saying that they would refund my money in 3-5 days. They also said to either get rid of the game or keep it. Gonna keep it since it works just fine.

Same thing as others have reported. game ok, but obviously repackaged. Offered $8 credit. Weird they're not offering a full credit, but hey the game appears to work so I'm not whining about a $2 GRAW 2.

I received my copy of GRAW 2 today, which was not factory sealed. Also, the disc was loose in the box and somewhat scratched. I didn't think it was a big deal, but then I saw that emeraldgsl got a refund for a similar issue, so I sent them an email :p

And me to the list of "factory sealed", no sticker over the opening, and original XBOX case. This is very strange and I would love to know the story behind them. My disc and manual were both immaculate however, so I really don't care.

But I will be emailing them because this is total misrepresentation. I mean no seal is one thing, but did they really think no one would notice the original cases?

I emailed NewEgg too about my GRAW2 order. I don't want to return it, but I don't think it's right that they sold me something as new that was clearly used.

I received an Every Extend Extra today that I think was repackaged. Shrink wrapped well (though unusually tough to open) and completely mint/new components, but the artwork was in the case upside-down.

I'm happy anyway as long as it's in new condition, especially for these cheap prices + free shipping:)

While I don't think it is right what newegg is doing, I also don't think it's right to knowingly complain knowing you are going to get a refund and get to keep the game.
