EndWar for less than $10 is good. I picked it up around release for the PS3, because I really love RTS games. Unfortunately, it's pretty boring and bland, in my opinion. The voice command, though, was done quite well and was the only thing that kept me playing for a bit. Might eventually go back to it.

Whoa, Bionic Commando for $12 is a steal. Stick with it though for quite a few hours. I thought it was pretty lame for quite a while and then something clicked.

Disgaea DS came today, and while I haven't seen how it's usually wrapped, this definitely looks resealed. The cartridge/manual/etc. do look new, though. I guess I'll see when I get home -- if there aren't any games already saved on the cartridge or anything like that to indicate that it's used, I'm not going to worry about it.

Edit: No saves on the cartridge or anything like that, so I'm going to assume it's new and not worry about it.

If you suspect you have any 2D shooting blood still in you, Raiden IV is certainly something to consider at $20. One of the very few games--being a long-term shooter fan--that I ignored my CAGness in favor of an at-release buy. Well, waited for Gold-box and used an ECA code before the abusers killed it, but close enough...

Yeah, my copy was like that, too, and it was from RosenQueen.com.

Glad you bought it! That is my very favorite SRPG ever, and the second screen makes lining up attacks and getting the overview of the battlefields and characters so much nicer. I have Disgaea 2 for the PSP, but frankly I'd rather have it for the DS :)

I have to go back to BB and see if they have the LE as well. I don't really want to order it from newegg unless it's the LE.

I could never get over the load times.... the game to me was like "here's some pretty awesome mechanics! go have fun, oh wait... we're going to make a ton of barely visable areas that will kill you instantly, oh and each zone will last about 10 minutes before you go through another 2 minute load time. Enjoy!"

Is that 2 minute load time with or without installation?

Wonder if someone might still have the link to the download please.

Yeah, I'm wondering what platform you played, and if it was installed.

I have the Xbox version, and there weren't any memorable load times. If it had loading screens, they didn't in any way impact the game, or register on me at all. They couldn't have been more than a few seconds at worst, if it had any.

My brother ordered the PopCap Vol 2 Arcade for $9.99 in the beginning of Dec (it actually lowered that same day from $12.99), and it still hasn't been shipped yet - it's on "Pre-Order" still, and NewEgg isnt providing ANY information about its shipping status.
They've already missed my son's XMas, now I'm worried it might never be shipped.

Anyone been in this situation with NewEgg?

Very poor job keeping this list up to date, because Newegg now has

FUEL 360: $14.99
AC/DC Rock Band Track Pack 360: $9.99
Jericho 360: $8.99

Picked up all three... the first two above are 50% LESS than Amazon's prices! Amazing deals, with free shipping!!

OP doesn't need to and shouldn't be asked to. The community self monitors and ads games as they come and go within the replies. However, I do admit having a wiki within threads to update what's new like Slickdeals has would help those who are new or those who don't choose to keep up with the replies.

Silent Hill i bought was 100% new in official wrapping like i thought. Works great but as for the game it is a fun game but the no abailty to invert it kinda kills it for me!

I got a resealed copy of crackdown from newegg as an xmas gift. Are the games all shipped out from a third party? If not they must not even bother checking their inventory.

Mine was too, a while back, but I think that game had a free halo trial code or something in it at one time. Maybe they were all sent back to the manufacturer, unsealed to remove the promo, and resealed?

Ah balls. Did not see the AC/DC Track Pack until now and it's sold out. This game is seriously some kind of unicorn for me. Every time there is an opportunity to get it sealed with the code for cheap I miss it. Bah!

received my 360 copy of HAWX yesterday and was annoyed to discover that it was the Japanese version. Fortunately, the game is region free so I was able to play it, but I guess that means I won't be able to sell it or trade it in. When I complained to Newegg they said something along the lines of not being able to guarantee which region the game is for. What is up with that?

Came back to work from holiday vacation today and found my copy of Battle Fantasia waiting for me in my mailbox. It was new, sealed, and North American NTSC, for those who were wondering.

If they refuse to do anything about it, call your credit card company and file a complaint. If you tell them that the product that you received was not what you were expecting, and that Newegg refused to do anything about it, they'll probably reverse the charges. Of course, the fact that you've opened it and played it might make that claim harder to justify.

For that matter, you could probably also complain to Microsoft and/or the game's publisher, who may take legal action if they can find sufficient evidence that Newegg is knowingly selling copies meant for other regions.

ok i think i got a refund on my japanese version of hawx after some huffing and puffing. what concerns me though is that the rep seemed to give me a refund more because i was angry instead of the fact that they should not be shipping out NTSC-J products. so what this means for us is that it can possibly happen to any of us again in the future. i'm going to think twice about buying cheap games from newegg going forward.

my conversation with newegg customer service went something like this:

espionage: Hi, I was sent the Japanese version of my product that I ordered when i should have been sent the american version

Newegg: I apologize for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, we are not able to guarantee the version of items except that it is posted on the website. Please contact UBISOFT at 1-919-460-9778 or on http://www.ubi.com/us/ to check whether the language can be changed to English.

espionage: you don't understand

espionage: you should be stocking the american product, not the japanese product

espionage: is it wrong for me to expect that if i, as an american, am buying a product from an american store, that it not be the american version of the product?

espionage: it's not a simple setting for me to change the language for the product

Newegg: Unfortunately, we are not able to guarantee the rest of the items are American version.

Newegg: In this case, we are willing to make an exception to offer you a credit in the amount of $16.99 to be issued back to your source of payment as a customer courtesy. Please allow 3-5 business days for the funds to be posted into your account.

I remember when Play-Asia had a sale on the Japanese version of EndWar and it was determined that it played the same as the US version. Also, the UPC was the same as the US version. You had to look carefully at the case to see any difference. Wondering if it's the same here, since HAWX is also a Ubisoft title. Still doesn't excuse selling you the J version without telling you up front, but it would make the difference pretty academic.

I was upset about that at first, so I forced myself off of inverted controls through playing a lot of Assassin's Creed and multiple shooters.

I recently went back to finish up trophies in Uncharted 1 after making the switch to normal layout, and I was thrown for a loop before I remembered to switch the setting.

Picked up Fuel, Viking, Raiden IV, Endwar, and Bionic Commando. Thanks to everyone who is keeping the prices up to date. I had been wanting to pick up Viking and Endwar for a while and have heard good things about raiden so I picked that up too.

AC/DC track pack for $10....tempting, but I don't play enough RB anymore unless people are over, and a lot of people wouldn't pick AC/DC anyways. If I'm playing by myself it's usually GH, too.

Well, after watching the in-stock quantity of Raiden IV dwindle to single digits, I finally bought one... I'd hoped for a cheaper price, but I figure I can probably mess around with it and then sell it off for about what I paid...

They did that once before. It didn't last long. I also hope it's not a trend.

I was interested in grabbing the AC/DC pack but it's sold out - boo. $10 is what they should have been charging for that thing in the first place IMO.
