NFL 2007 Season Thread
All this trading card talk reminds me of how I saw a Bears fan walking around in a faded Curtis Enis jersey a few weeks ago.
Ahh yes Curtis Enis. Another of our fantastic draft pick. That's like seeing a faded Grbac or Bono jersey here in Kansas City.

Yeah, I kinda just wanted to walk up to that guy and just tell him to let it go  It was all old and faded anyway.

Yes, thank you CBS commentators, but we all know when a quarterback throws a pick or bad pass, THEY'D LOVE TO HAVE THE BALL BACK. I hate when commentators say that crap.
Thank God I didn't start Eli this week on my fantasy team. He's been so mediocre I replaced him with Matt "Stump the" Shaub for the Texans.
My opponent has Vikings D.

Same here. In one of my leagues I was doing pretty well until my opponent scored 30 pts FROM HIS FRICKIN' VIKES D! That's insane.

Yeah I got demolished week 1 because of that. And now I'm being beaten again, ah well, still in the playoffs.

Cleveland's D surprised me.

IMO, Houston took a page out of Detroit's "How to lose a football game" handbook. I thought the two games looked very similar from that standpoint.

I don't think many people rank Eli that highly to be overrated.

What's going on in Arizona? And the Broncos and the Cardinals are doing their best to lose me some cash this week.

Edit: You have got to be kidding me Arizona. Same to you Denver.
Am I the only one who thinks Eli Manning is overrated?
I think anyone named Manning is overrated.

What the hell? After Grossman coughed up the ball in the 4th and Denver went up 14 pts I thought there was no way we'd come back. Also WTF 49ers... My fantasy team gives a huge F.U. to Frank Gore for picking this week to break out. In one league I buried him on the bench because he's sucked so much and in my other league he along with the Vikes D killed me!

In comes Trent Dilfer and voila, we have a game ;)

The Denver game was such bullshit. Their defensive coach is an idiot. Once they got the lead they just go to this bullshit prevent defence. I'm so pissed right now.
Eagles.. lets go.
Fo sho, I have this feeling, and so far, the Eagles are making that feeling more and more real.

Come on, bring it Eagles! :D

I was actually kinda hoping the Broncos would win as well (As a Bears fan I know we don't have a realistic chance at the playoffs so time to start positioning for a draft pick). WTF was Shanahan thinking kicking to Hester? That's basically what kept Chicago in the game. Hell kick the ball out of bounds and make Grossman drive from the 40. He'll more than likely throw a pick or fumble the possession away.

Knowing my luck Chicago will finish 9-7 or 8-8. Just bad enough to not make the playoffs and just good enough to get into the bottom of the pack in the first round of the draft.

So is everyone ready to admit that the Lions were the biggest frauds in the NFL?

10 games my ass.....until Matt Millen is gone..the Lions wont do a damn thing.

No kidding, when you let Rex-freaking-Grossman beat you. You have trouble.

But the fanboy in me says..since when are the refs using college football rules on catches?

Huh?

This will be the only time I ever say this, but let's go Eagles!
fuck YES EAGLES!! I got $1 on them. The only game they need to win to make me happy. Today's my bday and if they win, it'll be awesome.
What's the payout on that?

Here I was defending McNabb all season and blaming the receivers but look at us now. Greg Lewis looks fantastic.

I think everyone around the league who isn't a Patriot fan is feeling the same way.

We're all pullin' for the eagles, and even though they're down, they have a chance.

That last play should've been reviewed from the booth, I'm surprised they didn't stop play just to double check it.

Btw, I loved that onside kick call, too bad they couldn't capitalize on that, since it would've been a kick to the Patriots face if they scored a TD on that one.

Oh, I'd love to see my poor Eagles take this one.

And even if they don't, 24 point spread my damned!

One of the few good times to be an Eagles fan this year I guess.

If they win this game it'll be all they need to do to make me happy with this season. Playoffs or no playoffs, I still love my Eagles.
Bullshit call, just like the phantom offensive PI against the Colts. Have any of you guys found the offensive PI on that play yet?
Total flob job by the defender
But that bullshit call for a free TD earlier makes up for it.
Are you kidding? That was clearly a good TD. Madden just wanted a review because it looked close. It wasn't close, he had both feet in and had control of the ball.

On top of that, Moss has been getting mauled all day. I thought the Eagles were part of the cadre that got that rule re-emphasized?
No.
Then I'm sure you didn't actually watch the play and just listened to Madden complain. It was a good TD all the way, even Madden conceded the point afterwards.

I watched as he gained control and as his knee landed out of bounds. But maybe I'm wrong, I'll have to watch the reply again on a highlight.

I think having the Pats just being uncomfortable is good TV.

The play should have been reviewed at the very least. It was close enough that it deserved a second look, more than they got before Goatgrabasski kicked the try.

Both feet were in before the knee went out. The 2nd replay shows this. The 1st replay from behind Gaffney looked questionable but the other angles make it pretty clear.

Review would've just upheld the play.
Both feet were in before the knee went out.
That would be the arguement, but as I said I'll have to see it again before I change my opinion. I have been drinking so that factors in too.
