They were at like the 8 yard line. If you are that close to the goal line you should try to score reguardless of what is going on. What do you want them to do? Run backwards so that the cowboys self esteem isnt crushed?
I personally think all of this.."aaaaahhh lets take into account the loser feelings" nonsense is bull. There really is not way to run up the score...as long as there is time on the clock you should be playing.
They did the very least that could do...which is run the ball up the gut. Its not their fault that Dallas cant stop them.
I dont know. I just really dont agree with this whole, "let take into account the losers feelings so they dont cry on the way home"
If you practices harder then them, if you workout harder then them, if you play better than someone....and you are not dancing in the end zone or making an ass out of the game then why shouldnt continue to play? As long as you dont do anything crazy to get your players hurt.
Maybe its because I grew up playing soccer my entire life but in soccer its more considered a sign of disrespect to stop playing even if you are up 3-0 (which is like getting blown out 40 nothing in football) because its basically saying, "look at us we are so good we dont even have to play to win."
I never really got it.....if you are not going to play why not just end the game right there and then and let everyone go home if its so important to respect the other team?
Well you guys are up by 21 at the 2 min warning. Just go home we dont want the other team of what suppose to be the toughest guys on earth to cry that they lose by 28 instead of 21.
Chill, dude. It's just something to discuss. That whole playcalling at the end is just something I've gotten accustomed to here in Indy with Tony Dungy. For some reason, I recall them taking knees deep in the opponent's side with the game well in hand. Plus, it cuts down on the possibilities of injuries.
