See, this is where I disagree with you. It was close against Indy. It was close against the Giants. It was even close against some of the basement teams of the league (Balt, Philly, etc.) So tell me how it's not that close when multiple games this year show otherwise. Tell me what happens if Gilette gets pounded by bad weather on gameday.
They are the best team, but it is close. Indy, Dallas, Green Bay all have very legit shots. I also think that Jax and even SD and Pittsburgh could beat them given the chance. They're no lock to win the SB at all.
There are no locks in the NFL.
Winning close games does nothing to disprove that they are the best team in the NFL by a wide margin.
Indy lost to the Chargers, only beat the Titans by 2, Houston by 6, KC by 3, Oakland by 7. The Jags lost to the Titans, and beat Atlanta by 6. Pittsburgh lost to Arizona, Denver, and the Jets, and only beat the Dolphins by 3. Dallas lost to Philly, and barely beat Buffalo and Detroit by one point each. Green Bay lost to Chicago twice.
So yes, having a few games that were close makes them better than the rest of the league by a wide margin. Don't give me that crap about barely beating teams or getting lucky, how lucky was Dallas to beat Buffalo and Detroit?
