NFL 2010-2011 Season Discussion Thread

Wow the Eagles are eviscerating the Redskins. I'm going to have a lot of fun mocking all my Skins fans colleagues with this one tomorrow.
My god, this is Michael Vick living up to his true potential.
There isn't a single player in the NFL who's playing at his level right now. It's unreal.

"Hey guys! Did you watch Monday Night Flogging? It was nuts!"
this is a shootout lol
Good. Vick and Jackson can keep running it up in my fantasy matchup, I might need the total points for tie-breakers. :D

It's like Michael Vick is channeling The Rock, shining the football, turning it sideways, and sticking it straight up my Redskins asses. Good God.
It will be interesting to see.. This could very well rank among the best games that any NFL quarterback has ever played.
No shit... I think they will put up at least 73
I wonder if all those peta members are still protesting outside of philly?
They never did in the first place.

The real question now, though, is who is the best team in the NFC? I can't make up my mind between Green Bay and Philly. For the AFC I'd have to give the Pats a slight nod above the Jets.

There is NO best team in the NFC. There is NO best team in the AFC. I get that there's a natural inclination to always need to rank teams, but if this season has taught us anything it's that there is absolutely no team which has broken from the pack yet. That doesn't mean it won't happen down the stretch, but it absolutely has not happened yet.

The Pats team who just beat the Steelers is the same team that got embarrassed by the Browns. The Eagles and the Packers both have losses to the same mediocre Redskins team that the Eagles just smacked on MNF.

Say it with me: "There is no best team."
Well at the end of the season it could be a Packers team who could have wins vs. Philly, Atlanta, NY Jets, New England, and the Giants.
.
Packers barely hung on to beat the Eagles and they had Kolb give them an entire half to run up the score.
I'm glad that Troy Smith is doing well with his second chance, as Joe Flacco stole his starting QB spot in Baltimore during the pre-season.
Yeah, lets hope he can keep his streak alive. :bouncy:

SF's other QB options are Alex Smith and David Carr. I like his odds.

What is the best game of the year so far? I haven't seen any outstanding games yet and I think we'll have to wait till playoffs for another game like that Packers-Cardinals one. That game had a 11 minute highlight reel

That Vikings@Packers game earlier this year was pretty good

Now, before you go off saying "OMG. Cleveland fans are such dirty hillbillies LOLROFL!", let me assure you that not all Cleveland fans are like this. Every team has fans that get a little out of control.

That being said, who says the kid didn't provoke this? Maybe he was giving them all the finger? I kid, I kid. Taking down an 8 year old is off limits. He should have went for the dad. (Again, I'm kidding in the last sentence).

Sorry about the double post, but this thread could use a bump. I have a question for those who have been into watching football on TV for a while -

Typically for me to watch the Browns games, I need to go to a bar, due to the fact that the local stations always show the Bengals game and they always seem to play at the same time. Well, the Bengals game is most likely going to be blacked out in this area, so will they (possibly) show the Cleveland game (so that I can stay home and watch it) or will they just show infomercials?

Exhibit B for Redskins being Raiders East.

Thanks for the help.

It seems like much of the discussion is "nobody knows" what happens if it gets blacked out. Some say we get no football and some say we get a random game.

Guess I'll just have to wait!

Blackouts are decided on thursdays or fridays so just check after that and you will see what game they will show instead. The Raiders away games are always blacked out here and they just show a different game.

I hate living in the Panthers home network. They're SO BAD. Why do they have to punish us? At least we get to see a great team destroy them this week.

Oh, and Michael Vick is apparently the new Brett Favre on ESPN.

Does that mean Peter King is going to manage to stop drooling over Tim Tebow enough to start spanking it for Vick as well?

Jets let a 23-7 lead disappear but :applause: to Mark Sanchez. Texans took a 27-23 lead with 55 seconds left and Sanchez answered with a TD drive.

The Redskins won today, so I am very happy :)

Tennessee, you suck for trying to sabotage us with your horrid field conditions.

Panthers, you are the worst team I've ever seen grace a football field. High School, College or Pro.

Though Cleveland did well to stay in the game, it seems like it's time to put Seneca back in as the starting QB if they want a better chance to win. The Colt experiment was a big success, but they need the more experienced QB in there right now. Let him sit and learn some more to become a legitimate starting threat in the off-season.
Crazy game. Asante Samuel intercepted and promptly fumbled the football. If the Eagles end up losing, that's on him.
Im my head right after he intercepted that pass I was telling myself -> "Please, PLEASE don't fumble the ball". And not to my surprise...

It's happened so many times where the guy intercepts the ball and then tries to get those extra yards only to fumble the ball.

Thank goodness the Eagles pulled it out in the end. Hell yeah, top of the conference! :D
