would you mind sending me the link to those posts you posted? it's not that i'm doubting you, i would just be interested to see them, as i can't seem to find them on the ESPN nhl 2k5 message boards.

either way, i'd prefer you stay in the league. most people in this league just want to play, and as someone mentioned, you only have to play him once more at most.

it's hard to verify anything, obviously, but i'm open to everyone else's thoughts on the subject. if the general concensus is to remove gojtron from the league, then i guess that's what'll be done, but if everyone thinks he should stay unless it happens again, then that's what will happen. of course, it would make everything a whole heck of a lot easier if gojtron simply posted something in this thread. if he wouldn't mind.

And be nice :p Dunno if its true but it sucks to lose to a cheat or the game lagging out. I'm aware of people cheating in similar ways to what he described. Look at the leaderboard for people that have a disproportionate amount of wins/games compared to goals/minutes. Can't say if its true or not, but it happens.

It would be easier if he did... Only confirmation I can really think of is if he does it again.

It just seems like he shouldn't be accusing him of cheating right now when he doesn't have the proof. Now, no one will want to play Gojtron on CAG even if he never actually cheated...

Or he did cheat and he deserves what he gets! :twisted:

I just know that when I played with the Stars I had a good feel playing with them and I knew what I was doing but it's just harder for me to play with this team if that makes sense. :? I just don't have a good feel for them. :( I'll check out your offer tomorrow after I play my game. I want to see again if I can play with them. :)

Has anyone checked to see if they can replay the game? You just click on the game results from the schedule and at the bottom there should be an option to erase the stats if it'll let ya. I'd think it would with the note being made that the game wasn't finished on the page.

the ESPN site hasn't been working for me today, but once it finally does i'll check it out.

You should also take note these aren't your regular noobs complaining either, these are your people that have played the game quite a bit and seen it all.

Either way, nothing is changing my mind about selling this game. The glitches in this game and in NFL 2K5 are insane. I'm realizing why these games were 20 dollars. If you are lucky enough to have not been glitched on yet, I'm happy for you.

actually, the reason i wanted the links is because i thought that you were the one who typed the "[secret not revealed]", and quite frankly i wanted to know how this was done. obviously it was the OP who typed that, so the links didn't accomplish much. either way, it wasn't that i was doubting you.

if you are really selling the game, then i will drop you from the league and let someone else in, if you are sure that's what you're going to do. it sucks, but i guess i can understand why you would want to.

I may not be able to play my game tongiht, so if we're not able to, just give me the loss.

My dad got free tickets to the Dallas Mavericks game tonight, so I won't have time to play my game. I'm happy and sad at the same time. :D :cry:

I doubt that I'll have time to play today, so if by the end of the day we haven't played our game, give the loss to me. I hope that's okay with you guys.

Sorry for not being able to get it in, but I should be able to play normally, but this was a suprise from my dad. He's supposed to be home at 5:30, so I'm not sure if that's enough time to play. :(

Thats funny, because I thought you actually wanted the links to give justice. As it turns out, you only wanted the glitch description. What a waste of my time this turned out to be, you only wanted me to "teach" you a glitch to further destroy this game online. I pray to God this guy glitches you and screws you out of a win. Prick.

you can call me a prick if you so desire, it doesn't matter, but i'll still give you my reasoning for wanting to know how it's done. as with many people, i'm a skeptical person. being such a person, when someone says "and then they did the magical thingamabob and poof, they won" i want to know what was done. it's the part of me that thinks "well, unless someone tells me how this happens, i'm not going to fully believe them", and i would think that people can relate to that. i have no desire to use such glitches for the purposes of winning. for some of us, and i venture to say you'd consider yourself part of this group, we play the game to have fun. using a glitch such as a "drop the game and keep the win" or the one where you can win a fight without throwing a punch or the one where a player can score from behind the net by banking the puck off the goalie's head (i have no idea how they manage it, but a few players have done this against me with a pretty high success ratio) detracts from the overall enjoyment, and as such, i have no desire to use those methods.

it's too bad that your experience with this league has been bad, but i don't think you need to extend your hard feelings toward other people, such as myself, who are not the cause of the problem, and rather doing what they can to resolve it

i don't want to turn this into a flame war or anything of the like, i just want to make it clear that cheating will not be tolerated in this league, and in general you are a total lame-o if you cheat in any online game. but what i don't understand is why any of you would want to cheat in the first place.

this is for fun, so let's try to keep it that way.

next week's schedule will be up tomorrow morning. let's see if we can find a replacement for new jersey.

also, i found a way to reset the results of the game (so i think, using ultimate matt x's suggestion), so if a game is dropped in the future, the players should be able to replay it.

damn. brought a tear to my eye. it seems the caghl is becoming overrun with questionable ethics and antics. i hope it remains fun

on a side note- funny how we get into the first week of the leauge and get a roster update.

i usually use firefox as well, but i just tried both opera and internet explorer, and all 3 failed.

week 3 starts today (11/9).

new york gets the win over phoenix for this past week.

i found a replacement for new jersey. it's CAG user maynard, his XBL gamer tag is "maynardld50". i believe the only way i can invite someone into the league is through the ESPN league website, which i mentioned earlier isn't working on any browsers for me, so i will invite maynard as soon as i can get the site to work.

since the league website isn't working at the moment, here's the schedule:

detroit @ atlanta
new york rangers @ calgary
new york islanders @ columbus
montreal @ dallas
phoenix @ los angeles
philidelphia @ new jersey
boston @ san jose
tampa bay @ st. louis
colorado @ toronto

games have to be played before 11/17.
 
just to let everyone know, the league site is back up.

apparently they were working on it so now if there's a dropped game in the playoffs, i can reset the results (i guess before you couldn't reset the results of a dropped playoff game).

so to make it clear: if a game is dropped, i can reset the results and you can play it again. fun stuff.

Funny. He was the one who DC'd. It gives the loss to the one who drops. It was laggy all game long, and his lone goal was on a cheese play. And actually, it didn't give me the win, I told it to be sent to arbitration. I don't glitch, I don't cheat. He didn't even have a mic on.

to new jersey and philidelphia (manofpeace20 and cheapyd): if you can't get your game in within the normal time frame, let me know when you can and i'll hold off advancing the schedule until you can play, since it was obviously impossible to play (or even schedule anything) for the first half of this week.

We tried to do it today, but during the match we got a "a network glitch will end this game" message. Anyone know if the servers are messing up?

i played my game this evening and everything went fine. from my experience of just playing random online games against equally random people, occasionally games will just unregister and end for seemingly no reason.

hopefully you guys can reschedule the game soon.

Normally I wouldn't bitch about a missed match, but it's that damn game that I really have a strong distaste for that's pulling quite a number away.

If I don't play my game tomorrow, I'll probally drop out of the league since I just haven't been able to find time to play scheduled games. :( I'll try my best to get my game in tomorrow, though... PMing opponent now.

I think Halo 2 has been sucking everyones time. I know, it's a cop out answer but it's true. sj41 and me have tried to get our game going but he had some problems.
 
it takes about 20-30 minutes to play your game- halo may be true- but that is no excuse. put the freeking contollers down. it's not that good a game.

Cheapy D and I tried to play on Sunday but had server problems. We are currently trying to play again. Whoever said Halo 2 is not that great is right. Single player is more boring than the first and multiplayer is only fun when your buddy list is full.

ok, but here's my plan as far as advancing the schedule goes (i'm going to make it big so people will notice):

since the new jersey spot was vacant for 4 days, i will let this week's schedule go an extra 4 days, which means you have through SUNDAY 11/21 to play your games.

i'm only doing this because of the special circumstances, so everyone please don't make a habit of waiting until the end of the week to get your game in.

thank you for being flexable, I for one am sorry that I've let our game go unplayed. I will get it done, I hope by tonight. Sorry to the folks who did play their games and now have to wait a few more days to play their next one. Don't worry, you'll have your chance to kick my ass soon.
