Those first two are probably the best the system has to offer thus far, and they're definitely the definitive versions to own. I was watching my brother play OoT on the 64 last week and was shocked at just how much better my 3DS copy looks. I knew it looked better, but it's really almost like a night/day comparison.
To answer your question previous question, it's a much better console that others like to let on. It's got a lot of neat features and I use mine nearly every day. As for the batter issues, yes, it's not a great battery. But, mine does give me 5 good hours of playtime before the red battery light comes on. If you play mostly at home(in bed) like me, that's a non-issue. I whip it out on my lunch break, take it with me on the weekends, and I've yet to have it actually die on me as I can usually keep it charged every night. All of that being said(I'm definitely pro-3DS), it's not the greatest pickup if you aren't into Nintendo first-party titles. You'll get your use out of Star Fox & Zelda(the e-shop has a decent amount of good games as well, if you're into that sort of thing), but you need to make sure that you're interested in the other upcoming games before you make a decision.
**EDIT**
Noticed what you said about iPhone games, I'm not so big into those either but I love my 3DS.
Thats one of the reasons why i wanted a 3DS. I miss a lot of the first party titles of nintendo but don't really care for the Wii and the motion stuff. i just like to chill and play games. The iPhone 4 games i just couldn't get into. As for the upcoming games, I am very interested. Mario land and all that. Its been awhile since ive played a Mario game. Battery life seems pretty good.
For some reason im excited about the street pass and stuff that gives you coins when you walk around. Seems neat.
