Still tempted to pick up xenoblade chronicles. I've always wanted to play it but never wanted to pay GameStop for the physical copy. Is $20 a fair price? I'm having doubts it will go on sale.

I tried to play Xenoblade twice (in high res with Dolphin) before the 3DS version and could never get into it. Xenoblade 3D is the first time I actually finished the game. It's a good port and very playable. Twenty bucks is a good price for a very good game.

I just played Project Mirai demo. I know I'm hearing impaired, but seriously, I have no idea what that little chibi was singing. I assume there were words. I don't understand the hype around this game. I really didn't enjoy the demo at all. Elite Bear Agents and Rythym Heaven were so much more my thing.

Now, that is a game I played the crap out of. I'll be honest though when I say the 3DS isn't the right console for it. You're so busy tapping that you really don't get to enjoy the visuals (IMO)

Elite Beat Agents was the one game that I wish they'd come back with. That game was fun as heck with good music to listen/play.

It's not a great fit on the 3DS with the low resolution screen and lesser powered system hampering a lot of the great scope and visuals that the original had on Wii. Might be worth a purchase on Wii U whenever it goes on sale.

It took me 3 attempts to get into the game. I kept getting bored and quitting.

It's a slow starter and you might have to stick with it for awhile before it pays off. One piece of advice is to ignore the side quests. They're largely boring without much payoff. If you stick to the story missions it's more entertaining. You'll be high enough leveled just from story missions and incidental fights on the way to those missions to get through everything in the game, though a couple of boss fights might require some minimal grinding. You do miss out on some skill trees and so on but I never got any of them and had no problems.

I think the real tipping point for me was getting 3 party members and learning to appreciate the intricacies of the combat system as well as the leveling up system. I'd say if you still don't like the game after that point, then it's probably just not for you.

Well it's Japanese so... That's too bad though as the gameplay is quite excellent and a number of the songs are quite catchy without knowing a single word.

Also I would maul a new Elite Bear Agents game.

Elite Beat Agents is one my fave DS games. Finished the entire game except the very last song on the hardest difficulty, and oh so close to the end of the song before failing out. After putting it down for a while out of frustration, I lost my chops and had no chance of finishing it.

Been waiting for a sequel. Elite Bear Agents would be awesome, and smarter than the average rhythm game.
