Good game - definitely worth $5. Unique and additive
I'm going to buy that visual novel series while it's on sale (Harvest December or whatever it was). Always like to support good looking visual novels. I may also buy Gotta Protector believe it's called since it looks fun.

Has anyone played Coveni Dream yet?

This. I've been waiting patiently for Amazon, or someone - anyone - to list this so I can preorder it. It's supposed to come out in just over a month I believe. I really hope its not a Play Asia exclusive because how much sense would it be for an international company to be the exclusive seller of a North American game? Oh wait....Rice Digital....

On a different, though slightly related note, I also noticed Play Asia is now advertising a North American physical release for a new PS4 Wild Guns Reloaded game. Would like to preorder that eventually too.

No it's not play asia exclusive for River City Tokyo Rumble. I've been following some of the conversation on the gamefaqs forum for it and one of the reps, CeeCee, pops in and updates things from time to time. They specifically mention it should be on Amazon.com but there may be a caveat (no info what that caveat will be, maybe no 20% off or something). I think this may be a case of a game just showing up in stores/online rather than it being offered for pre-order, which would explain it not being on Amazon yet if they aren't doing the 20% deal which to me is fine as it's releasing for $29.99. They are supposed to announce something soon. The rep also mentioned a collectors version that will have a Kunio-Kun keychain (at the same price) ... but no telling which sites that version ends up on (unless it's all games include the keychain). Whatever the case, hopefully we'll have some info soon. (Source: Gamefaqs Thread)

Also the final boxart is up on the Natsume Twitter page. I'll spoiler it below...

Someone asked about the cheap games in the current sale.... I played through 4 Elements, and I have to say for a Match-3 game with a few comparison puzzles and even fewer hidden-object puzzles mixed in (but mostly Match-3) it was a pretty great experience. If you enjoy that kind of stuff (and I do), the match-3 here is pretty nice as it's not just a static single screen but a level map that you work through to get to an end spot. Overall it was a pretty fresh experience for me with the genre. It's more than worth a $1.

I was thinking about e-shop purchases and I am starting to wonder if I am potentially throwing good money away by buying digitally on the 3DS and Wii U when we don't know if these purchases will carry over to the new NX system.

Is anyone starting to think about that yet?

Of course you are throwing away money and once the NX comes out Nintendo will be pressing their big red button that makes all 3DS systems short out.

Thought about it, that's why I've only really invested into a 1/3 of my library digitally. The only logic that's making me more hopeful about the future of my digital purchases is the fact that if no one's 3DS or Wii U purchases transfer over, that it'll make people MUCH more hesitant to invest in digital purchases during the NX era. And judging by My Nintendo's focus on digital, I'm guessing that's going to be a focus for Nintendo moving forward.

I also remember reading recently that some people were having luck contacting Nintendo customer service when they have a Wii U version of a game that's also on 3DS, and getting them to add it to their 3DS account, and vice-versa. It makes me wonder if they already know that everything is going to be funneled into the same account in the near future anyway...

I look at the NX as something different. If nothing transfers over it won't matter to me because I'm not abandoning my 3DS or DS libraries (both physical and digital). I mean it's not like the NX is definitely going to have a DS/3DS cartridge slot or play Wii & WiiU discs either.

But now I don't buy regular retail 3DS games in digital form. I'd rather just get the physical version since we are still using an antiquated system where our purchases are linked to our hardware instead of just to the account with the hardware authorized for it (like what Sony does).

Dual Destinies only gave me 20 gold coins, not the 30 in the OP (though the ones that said 10, but were less than a dollar all gave 10). I just wanted to let others know in case that's part of your decision making process (needing 30 for one of the crappy gold "rewards", & thinking that game would give it to you).

Sorry if this has been answered already but does anyone know how long it takes for gold coins to appear in a My Nintendo account after a purchase?

Dual Destinies only gave me 20 gold coins, not the 30 in the OP (though the ones that said 10, but were less than a dollar all gave 10). I just wanted to let others know in case that's part of your decision making process (needing 30 for one of the crappy gold "rewards", & thinking that game would give it to you).
It gave me 30 coins, are you sure it gave you 20? Check your point history to make sure.

what does anyone think of Binding of Isaac on 3DS? is it a good port?
It's probably still a no on if it's a "good port" but it sounds like they've patched it up significantly so it's not crashing constantly at least. Doesn't seem like they were ever able to get the frame rate stabilized though.

More 3D Sega Classics sales! I already bought all of those on release, but they're always a nice addition to the sales - people should buy them, they're very well done and some even have some extras.

Now, if only they would release the Exclusive games from the 3D Classics Cart as stand alone editions on the 3DS EShop for those that already bought them all digitally.... :(

Which is why I won't be buying any more. If some are exclusive to the cartridge then I may as well just wait for a cheaper price on the cartridge.

The physical cart was down to about $16 just recently on Amazon, and that's when I bought it.

I have to say as well, these 3D Classics by SEGA are the best! There's a lot of love and fan service present, and while I bought many on sale, I also bought several at full price and don't regret a single one.

Nintendo who has vastly more resources than SEGA, didn't come close to what they offered in regards to 3D Classics, and should be ashamed of the crap they offered by comparison. Any fan of these games, do yourself a favor, and try a few, you won't be disappointed.

I wasn't aware there was a history, but now that I am, I will certainly check. I am 99.99% certain, as I had 120 gold coins before, & now have 140. Unless I got extra for something I wasn't supposed to? Thanks for the info.

I purchased Dual Destinies last night along with 2 of the $0.99 games that were over $5 before the sale, I checked this morning and earned the full 50 coins. I checked my point history (my nintendo website, top left corner is a menu button, under that list is point history) and I got all 30 gold coins for Dual Destinies. In case it helps narrow down what might have caused this, I'm in the USA, I'm on a regular 3DS and I purchased all of the games directly with my 3DS using money added to my account from an eShop card. If you got 20 gold coins, I'd be interested to know what, if anything, differs with your setup than mine (country, system, what device you purchased from, & how you paid).

I grabbed my copy of DK3 while on my nintendo this morning. Now I'm set for the current batch of games for myself. There are still a few available games (the WiiU stuff and Wario Land 3 since I already owned it) though and I could buy them for one of my kids.

Thanks for the help, guys. It seems something was off somewhere, but it wasn't Ace Attorney:DD. I wish it had the name of the games you bought for the gold rewards instead of generic placeholder, though. I guess if they get wiped every 6 months, it may not matter, but that would make it very hard to keep up with a couple years down the line, if you're only using the history on Nintendo's site.

@nightc1 I was using a New 3DSXL, in the US, with funds added to my account from eshop cards, but I bought them online (for digital version) through the links in the OP.

Forgive my rambling....

I bought (well, I thought I bought) 10 of the $1 games that gave you 10 gold reward points. I just right clicked - open in new tab - to 10 of those from the OP. Once I saw it gave the 10 gold points, I went through with each link I had opened, finalizing a game purchase, then opening the My Nintendo Home page to make sure I got the points. I never rush it. I went steady, making sure not to allow the internet connection to screw up my finances, and eventually finished buying & checking all 10 games (as my wallet total went down to $100.xx almost perfectly, and the site said I had 120 coins, which was correct by my count since I had 20 to start with).

I still debated on AA:DD for a bit, looked up metacritic for both, to see which one I'd prefer, if either (I had only played the demo of AA:DD, but never any of the other games. Only reason I have a handheld is the 3D, so that's make or break for me, and I'm a graphics whore. I know handhelds are not where I should be, if that's what I want, but the 3D manages to keep me immersed in the worlds/games like I never thought possible except on the latest & greatest console & PC hardware). Metacritic was actually the same for both, so I preferred the newer game, played on the top screen, built with 3D in mind, and with better graphics in every aspect than the others. The overall value (3 games vs 1) is what I was weighing when comparing the older 3 remastered games to the new one. I couldn't see how well the 3D was done in the classic games, and I had a demo of the newer one, so that was the tie breaker.

I bought AA:DD, then checked the site & it said I had 140 gold points afterward. Also, when you buy the game on the site, it says you will get 20 gold reward points (or coins, whatever. I forget what the heck they reward us with now). I guess that had a psychological edge. Now, I see that AA:DD did give me 30 gold things, but it only has 9 games listed as the dollar buys. I swear I counted 11 gifts to unwrap when I got home (where they all had downloaded to my system), so I will have to investigate. It's possible one could have not come with any coins, maybe (like if I clicked a wrong game's link)? It's not like me to make mistakes, so I don't think that's what happened (I know it's hard to tell online, so, yes I was being sarchastic). If any of the games CHEATED me out of my golden rubles, I will update here, so that no one else gets robbed for a dollar (or maybe even more). Thanks for your help, guys (sincerely). You could have pounced on me for any number of things like mane do here, but CAG's like you 2 are the reason I stay in this community. Being helpful shouldn't debit your CAG card. Charge it to the game, and take a nap if you gotta hate on someone 24/7. I probably should have left that last part out, but I'll edit it later cuz I'm done typing.

I saw that Reddit thread, too. It was one person claiming that they pulled this off and a whole bunch of other people saying that they couldn't.

Technically, our purchases are linked to the account instead of the hardware. We just can't authorize more than one 3DS or Wii U on an account at a time.

Thanks for the help, guys.
No problem. I'm typically happy to help figure something out if it's gone awry.

I don't purchase anything on the webstore except when cashing in my gold coins. Yesterday I somehow got a demo of Disney Art Academy downloaded. Maybe you had something similar? Then again if the money was taken it's very possible you got one of the 4 $0.99 games listed on the OP that are indeed not gold coin worthy. It's also possible you already owned one of the games or something so the purchase didn't go through but it downloaded to your system. But then it wouldn't have taken your $0.99. It's a mystery, but at least you have the ability to dig through the purchase history, look at what is actually on the system, and then see what isn't showing.

So there's a page where I can go, de-authorize my 3DS (assume it was stolen/lost) and then add in a newly purchased 3DS/N3DS/2DS to replace it and access my games? I know they can do stuff over the phone, but to my knowledge there's no user controls for authorizing/de-authorizing systems. Or does it do this when you setup a new system on an existing account?

It's just very bare bones at this point and in no way family friendly or convenient. I want something more like what PSN has. Or Steam family sharing. Or iOS/iTunes where I can authorize something like 10 devices on my one account and they all have 100% access to everything in my itunes library.

Yes, there is. It's called System Transfer.

The very fact that you can call them up and have your games transferred to a new 3DS if your old one gets damaged or lost is proof that they're tied to the account.

Personally, I would have preferred it if they had just counted the New 3DS/XL separate from the original and let you have 1 2DS/3DS/XL and 1 New 3DS/XL on an account at a time. At least it would've been more in line with what Sony does and we wouldn't have people still thinking that it's tied to the hardware.

No, there's nothing like that. If your system were lost or stolen, you'd have to call Nintendo. Sometimes people have reported they ask for a police report to document it being stolen before approving the transfer. The system transfer only works if you have the old system and the new one.

If you sold your 3DS or Wii U, deactivated your account and formatted the system, supposedly Nintendo will let you reactivate on a new system if you call them, but there's no way to log into the website and manage system activations. It's really frustrating, but it's also never been an issue for me, so there's that too.

SMT: Devil Survivor is a little simple but quite good.

But those of you waiting for SMT4 to drop to $10 like its some kind of super Atlus forbidden fruit will be disappointed. It's worse than every other Atlus 10 buck games. It actually wouldn't be that bad for $10 except compared to the rest of what Atlus is selling for $10 it's all so lol

Are the 3D Sega arcade games worth getting? I haven't played Out Run, Space Harrier, Super Hang On and Afterburner II before, but am considering them. $3 seems like a lot for such old games, though. I also want to try Nicalis, but i hear it's really short.

Counterpoint: I liked SMT4 better than many of the games Atlus sells for $10.

Outrun and Space Harrier are two of the best arcade games SEGA ever created. Hang-On and Afterburner are also great, but are more niche titles, as they are best with there special arcade cabinets, but SEGA really did excellent work for all of these 3D classics, and while worth it for full price, with a discount, it's a no brainer.

But these are arcade titles afterall, so be aware they where designed to take quarters from young kids, so these aren't console titles built for the home, and they can be on the hard side, but they are still very fun.

Good timing on Sega 3D Classics sale since I'm getting a 3DS next week.  :D/

For anyone who has played these which ones do you think benefit the most in 3D?
I definitely plan to get Outrun and Super Hang On but the rest of those I have on PS3.

Oh and is there any rhyme or reason to why some games offer coins and others don't?

Your opinion is in the minority. And speaking of msrp, that's what I paid for SMTIV and did not regret it in the least.

I agree SMT: Devil Survivor is good, though I wouldn't call it simple. One wonders how much you've actually played three games.
