Oh, sorry if it wasn't clear that I was talking only about the switch version of FX. They actually looked very nervous in their youtube video of the backlash they'll likely receive for announcing BC on the switch since, yes, they charge for these tables on every other platform.
But Switch has gotten the short end of the stick this whole time. No Williams and tables just not even coming out on switch, and new releases coming out later than other platforms. It was only until a few months ago that the entire game was retooled to even run decently on Switch (because of hardware limitations). They added challenges and unlockables that other platforms had this whole time and it's finally on par with FX3 graphically. So it's nice of them to throw us a bone.
They get
so much hate for everything from performance issues, ball physics, the tables they choose to release, even the speed at which they come out. Pinball really does seem like a super finicky nightmare to try to replicate digitally. I don't envy them in the slightest
