Hopefully it just means that there's enough inventory for everyone, more so when the scalpers all return their units when they're unable to flip them for a profit.

either walmart is going to be sending out mass cancellations or they will randomly ship out systems and screw over the people who preordered earlier

 
wtf walmart dropped my neon oled price down to $299 due to a price match lol

if it actually ships i will probably keep the neon one instead of the white one from target

I'm in the same situation. I prefer the white over the Neon. I'm gonna sell the $300 Neon from Walmart for retail price ($350) to get the white one at Target.

Walmart just adjusted the price for the red and blue oled I ordered down to $300. What is that about? Not complaining just weird.

This is actually the second price reduction I got. First one was $16 and now this one for $32 to bring it down to $300.
 
Of course UPS transfers my zelda joycons to usps, who proceeds to put it in the wrong mailbox. Hopefully it ended up with some nice people. Anyone ever been in this situation, there's a 10 minute difference between when my mail was actually delivered and when the tracking said it was put in the mail box.

How much do u have to put down to preorder one at GameStop? My wife wants one so this is going to be her Wedding Anniversary/Birthday gift since it comes out around that time of year.

Yeah these things won't be hard to find at launch.  Both white and neon still available, 30 minutes after those links were posted above.

I have both a job and kids, as well as a life, and I've preordered 4 of these things.

Will definitely can canceling at least 2 of them and my bro in law is getting one of them.

Just not sure if I do keep one if it will be the Neon one for $300 from Walmart or the $350 white one from GS I just got.

I was hoping GS would have some sort of trade in bonus for old Switch going towards new OLED Switch, but even if not, the $50 off from Walmart may be worth me trading in my launch Switch for it. I still have some time to decide though.

Oh cool I hadn't seen the first post in this topic in over a week lol.

Hmmm so $150 out of pocket (plus tax) for white OLED, or if I can find $200 from someone on like FB marketplace it's only $100 out of pocket for the neon one.

I also have a launch switch which I'm guessing go for lower on the aftermarket than the v2 ones with better battery.

Anyone know if the $200 trade in will work when doing an online order? How would that work logistically?

I've not looked but I'd imagine the launch switch on the aftermarket (ebay, etc) would go for more due to the hacking community opening the thing up. Whenever I opt to upgrade my OG switch to a new one ... I'll be keeping the old as an emulation device.

You would have to get an employee to override the trade value of the switch, might be possible by showing them your online order, but I actually think you'd have a hard time getting someone to do it as it's typically only for in store pre orders, so definitely YMMV.

As for the V1 switch, to the right person it would be worth more than the V2 as others mentioned it can be hacked. But you should have zero problems selling any switch other than a lite for $200 on OfferUp/FB/eBay

True, most stores would probably just tell you they can't do it because it doesn't really benefit them in anyway and creates extra work for them. However, I'd rather trade in to GS over taking a risk of running into a scammer selling on eBay, someone forcing you to return it due to buyer's remorse or the buyer damaging it, getting lost in the mail, etc. Don't get me started on the clowns that you'll encounter on FB, Offerup, Craigslist, etc. That's only worth doing if you don't value your time or dignity and dealing with flakes and idiots.

Yeah I was looking up used prices on ebay and saw "unpatched" so I googled that and saw I have an unpatched launch edition.  Looks like those go for like $250+ pretty easily so I'll probably end up selling it outside of trading into Gamestop.

My battery has clearly deteriorated too.  The last time I played in portable mode I charged it the night prior and turned it off.  Then when I was at the airport that morning it was at 96%.  Also, it will just die after a while if I have it powered fully off and haven't played it in a while.  My son's Switch is the one we usually play so it's rare to turn mine on.  But when I do, it's typically dead.

The switch really needs an 80% battery mode for those of us that leave the machine docked most of the time.

 
those gamestop & target switch OLED stock for preorders yesterday is now SOLD OUT as of today.     (both colors, both retailers)     so yeah, semiconductor shortage & gamer demand still alive and well.     

 
So I am going to be that guy, but damn. Have we seen these jump back in stock for preorders lately? I know the system releases next Friday and people were up in the air on if they would sell out or not...looks like it might sell darn good for minimal upgrades.

That's why Nintendo does this, because they know that for as much as people bitch and moan, they also still pay up.

My launch edition still works perfectly fine.
 
Yeah I'm surprised there haven't been more.  I was hoping to find a white one for pickup next Friday somewhere but haven't seen any.  I still have one coming though just not on that day.

My launch Switch works fine too except the battery is definitely not as good as it was at launch.  If I leave my Switch powered completely off and not on the dock, after like a week it will be completely dead.  And then when I put it on the dock, it won't turn on right away.  It takes like 15-20 minutes to get enough juice to be able to even play it in docked mode. 

I plan on selling mine since it's moddable and I can probably get like $300+ pretty easily for it which will cover most of the OLED one, or it will cover it completely if I keep the neon one I have preordered from Walmart for $300.  Still not sure if the white one is worth the $50 more because I do like the look better, just not sure if $50 better lol.

 
good amount of cases that people got their preorders shipped early and many already got it. Anyone here get theirs early? What store was it that sent them out early? I hear Target but not sure.

Mine from Target shows no movement at all and still has delivery date of October 11th - 14th.
