This week was a good week for me. I hit approx 45 sales Thursday, 25 Friday, and 9 Saturday. There actually weren't any today. At every sale I asked for video games and named off specific systems like Nintendo, sega, playstation.
My weekend started in tragedy when I arrived at a sale (with a PS2 advertised) 30 minutes early and found out it had already been sold. The bad: I was best friends with this guy's younger brother in grade school and he told me he would have given me the PS2 for free. Worse: His wife used to work for Midway and would always get free games. The worst: He told me he had between 80-90 PS1 games that he sold to the guy literally 3 minutes before I got there.
My luck did turn around when I found this Genesis complete and extra controller for $5, offered $3 and she took it.

I also found T2 on game gear with the case. Wanted $1, countered with .25 SOLD
This was in a free box! Yay bonus!

I also picked up some CED disks for .50 each. Making of thriller, Clash of the titans, First Blood, Star wars, Empire Strikes Back, Warriors, Alien, and a couple of others. See wiki for more info http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capacitance_Electronic_Disc
Went to a sale with a lot of high priced games. Guy wanted $10, offered $7. It was worth it for the guide alone, but a black label complete game with registration card is nice too.

I got lucky at this sale when I asked about games and the guy's wife said "We have a sega with the CD cases." He said "oh yeah, I forgot we bought that for the grandkids, let me go get it." He came back with the dreamcast and 2 controllers, and the games. I noticed the component cord was missing and I asked if he had it. He came back out with the cord and the boxes for the system. He said make an offer and I said "How does $10 sound?" He said I was thinking more like $25. I then offered $12 and he said "Well I think we paid over $200 for this stuff when it came out, plus we haven't put it out yet...I think for $12 we would keep it and put $50 on it and see if someone wants it". After he said that I knew he was in control of the negotiation. I asked if he had anything else that went with the system and his wife came out with the manual and the registration cards. He said "this is practically brand new, I think they only played with it a few times" (which must have been true because there was no hand gunk on the controllers/system) I then offered $15 and the wife chimed in with "I won't let you sell it for less than $20!" That is when I regained control. I got a lower price offer than he gave me and the husband was now upset with his wife telling him what to do.
Now here is when noticing your surroundings comes in handy. I have a guy who is being forced to sell his Harley (I asked him about it when I got to the sale), who is now upset with his wife. I came in with my final offer..."$17 is the highest I can go. He looked at his wife and said "OK". She then looked at me and said "$17 is what we settled on?" I said yes and handed her a $20
\"

And now my best find in a long time...
I asked this MILF at a sale if she had any old video games and at first she said "No". I said "Ok thank you" and started to leave and she said "Wait! I have a Turbo Grafix!" I stopped and said "I might be interested in it" and asked if I could take a look at it, she said "let me go inside and I'll be right back." She came out with everything and I said "what would you like for it?" She said "I think you have to start bartering with me" and smiled at me. I said "I don't know...$5?", she said "how about $10?", countered "How about $7?", she said "Sounds good!" I realized today that the rf adapter is missing, but I might swing by tomorrow and see if she has it or anything else for me
haha.

List of games: Splatterhouse, Raiden, Klax, Final lap twin, cadash, night creatures, jj and jeff, moto roader, dungeon explorer, bloody wolf, king of casino, tv sports football, hockey, keith courage in alpha zones, and the official Turbo Grafx 16 game holder. Oh, the hotspot in the pic is "alone in the dark" (1992 PC version from INFOGRAMES) that I paid .10 for at another sale.
I left my number with 3 others, but I haven't heard anything yet.
