One crazy morning for football so far.
Agreed. Patriots\Steelers is still yet to come at 4 which should be a good game as well.
I don't think McNabb is done for but I also am unsure of what team he would work out on.
Put it this way, he didn't work out too well at the Vikings in spite of their stronger move toward the run game. There's certainly still a place for him but given his low mobility in comparison to a lot younger QBs out there, the team he ends up on better having a damn strong o-line.

Even though it sucks for McNabb, it's a great opportunity for Ponder to learn from McNabb as he starts his NFL career.

That was the plan all along, McNabb wasn't supposed to be teaching him from the bench though...

This game really makes me wish the Vikings had been able to get Cam Newton in the draft but I do think Ponder is potentially the 2nd best QB of last year's class.

Looks like it's just Massaquoi and Hillis that are out today for the Browns, which isn't as bad as it could've been for that offense.

Miami blows another game at the end. I'm surprised that they still haven't fired Sparano since he and everybody else knows that the management doesn't want him any more.

Tiny Tim is looking like he always does.....super shitty. My Lions on beating up on his ass pretty hard. 8 Straight misses. Guy cant pass worth shit.

Say what you will about the Browns' offense, their defense is good enough to keep them in almost any game no matter how ugly it may be. I don't know why SF's played it safe on offense in the second half. I don't give them much of a chance at a comeback only one halfback that's able to play, but their tight ends should've been a much bigger part of the gameplan since they're the most consistent offensive unit.
Wow. This Steelers/Pats game felt like a playoff game.
Yeah. Could very well be a preview of one, and the Steelers made a big statement about where it could be played.

Sucks for the Pats to lose, but I'm not going to lose too much sleep over losing to a really good Steelers team on their home field. The Pats' secondary got picked apart, but I was under no delusions that they were good, so I'm not too broken up about this one.

The entire Broncos team was super shitty.

Couple of things: McNabb is shot guys.. Have you watched him play this season? It's over. There's nothing left in the tank.

And my other point, Sporano won't be fired though he might quit. The owner WANTS to go winless and get Luck, he's basically already publicly said it and he has to pay Sporano anyway.

49ers could have blown that game wide open yet kept running the same goal-line play. I hope MacDonald's injury is minor.

How dirty was that clothesline and facemask by Polamalu on Welker? How is he at all likable nationally when he does shit like that?

I was certainly surprised it wasn't a penalty, though I don't think it was any more dirty than stuff you see every Sunday. We used to have a certain safety who did stuff much worse routinely.

Was hoping for a shutout but ill take a blowout. LOL @ the hype for tebow then he actually ran into a real team and look what happens.

Tebow is a hype job, his accuracy is practically non-existant most of the time. Power without accuracy is horrible and very inconsistant. Can't even say he would be a Brett Favre because when Favre was on, he could hit a window the size of a cherrio. Guy needs to REALLY develop his accuracy, the Denver offense is decent enough (although they do suck for the most part) that Tebow should be able to get some decent numbers in a game.

Tebow puts asses in the seats and moves the merch, the fact that he doesn't put check marks in the W column doesn't seem to phase the Broncos or their fans.

I will say this, it didnt help that the coaching was horrid. You know Tiny Tim cant throw past 10 yards, why didnt you build a gameplan around that? It really just seemed like they were winging it the entire game.

He simply is not a good QB but that was a given, what wasnt was how they are setting him up to fail in the most embarrassing way. Help the guy out a little with some screen passes or quick slants or something. You are just letting run willy nilly.

The one thing I kept thinking the entire game was how horrible the broncos coaching staff was. Absolutely no plays made sense for Tebow, at least try to use his strengths. And their defense was horrible. It felt like the game that would never end.

Yeah but Rodney Harrison wasn't in 6 national ad campaigns. Everyone pretty much hated him from the day he came into the league.

I never really wanted him to begin with, or at least them drafting him that high. He was never supposed to be a first rounder, but thanks to McDipshit, he was. Tebow was supposed to be McDipshit's little pet project, but that never got off the ground due to his bad head coaching. I probably would have been fine with him being drafted in the 4th round or later, like he was supposed to be. Since he wouldn't have that 'first round" stigma on him and if he sucked, well, you got your value out of him.

Yeah - he didn't facemask him. Just reach around and jarred his head 160 degrees, no biggie.

Facemask? Problem. Snapped neck? Not so much.

Love to see a huge fine on it, even without the penalty. But posterboy fluffy-head won't get one.

He's been fined for horse collars before. Hell, didn't they just fine him a couple weeks ago for using a cell phone on the sideline?

If the league thinks the hit was worthy of a fine (I certainly do), I'm sure they'll give him one. Welker was fine though, that's what's important.

I agree. Thomas and Decker are big, athletic WRs. Quick routes should probably be the order of the day, allowing them to do some work after the catch.

Cleveland should be doing the same with Little and Cribbs.

Decker is shaping up to be one of the bright spots from the McD Draft era.

Thomas can be a threat too, but he's gotta remain healthy.

And I agree about the game planning, it doesn't seem that the coaching staff knows what to do with Tebow at this point.

And more fairweather than Vikings fans, which is hard to do.

Dude, come on, the Lions sucked for how many years?:) I would be fairweather if my team sucked that long.

Uhh was talking about the failboys game genius. Second sentence was just what i thought of tebow

Montario Hardesty will be out for at least a few weeks with a torn muscle on his leg that leaves the Browns with one healthy running back on the roster right now, though Peyton Hillis is day-to-day and seems like he'll start unless there's a setback in practice. I'm not sure who they could pick up in free agency that could make an impact if Hillis can't play again.

Oh hey look its SD playing down to their comp once again and out of all teams a matt cassell lead one at that. Refs also ruining the game on both sides. Mnf has been sucking this year

I never did respect nfl's archaic overtime rules every other goddamn sport in the world plays till the clock hits zero but apparently that is a foreign concept in a sports thats been around as long as the Nfl has. What a awful Mnf game. Neither team deserved the win after that debacle. Dont know why Rivers chose a division game to try to dress up as Romo for halloween.

Watching the Chargers fail makes me happy, I only wish LDT was still on that team so he can share in the shittiness.
Raiders, Chargers and Chiefs all at 4-3 now.
Such a familiar tune. So infuriating for me. I'm from San Diego, I'm allowed to root for them (okay, so's everyone but you know what I mean), and I'm terrified that they're going to get pulled to fucking LA without a Superbowl win. Norv Turner has got to go, he's never been anything more than mediocre as a head coach, I cannot fathom how he's been one for so many years. FML
