Official CAG Black Friday Video Game Deals Thread

Sears had Friends/Family night lastnite (they have it every year), and they gave out all their Black Friday ads. The cool thing is, they let you buy off of the ad (with the exception of the early deals). I got a Samsung digimax A7 (7 megapixels) digital camera for 199.99 - the 10% discount that you get on this night = 196.00 after tax is not too shabby considering retail is 299.99 and Higher. Just thought I'd let you guys know, because now that the ads are available to the public, bfads.net should be able to post them again.

dont expect any of them to put new items in the ads. the ads had to be turned in by the first or second week of NOV.. our paper already has them printed out and bundled. since they are sealed in stacked of 20 cant get my hands on them but what i heard

target has no BF sales just a bunch of lame 2 day sales no major deals

CC is just a front and back page ad (again very lame nothing major on sale)


again this will be my first year I get up at 4am stand in line at best buy and back home sleeping by 6am.. only place im hitting is best buy. I would go to meijers for that 200 PSP but i would rather PM it at BB or not get it at all

o and one more thing


For everyone who is going to meijers... If the sale starts at 6am Dont go at 5am thinking your going to get your stuff. Your going to have to get out there around 2 or 3am and walk around the store for 3 hours with the items in your cart... This is why MEIJERS SUCKS.... Everything is gone at 550AM even thought the sale dont start to 6am... HEll last year all the DVD players were gone at 5am even though the sale didnt start to 6. People get there around 4 put the items in the cart and just walk around till 6 to check out

phatbunbao, from my experience of Black Friday last year would be yes to your question. I got a PM on the Family Guy Vol.1 at CC last year when Target had it for $17.77.
 
i'm thinking of getting that notebook myself but we'll see.

as for the other 1 or 2 of u planning to get this notebook you need to get there straight up 3 am period. at around 5am they start giving out paper work to usually the 1st 10 people that want it(around first 40 people) and so when the door opens and you dont have one of them you're basicly screwed out of one.
 
Media play looks to be having a small clearence of games starting the 25th/26th.

I was in the store today and one of the clerks was going through the shelves with a little pull cart and a list of some games.

It looks like there will be a small number of games from most of the consoles that are selling for $19.99 that will be going to $8.99.

Does it say if that's the backlit or frontlit SP? If its the backlit I now have two reasons to go out on Black Friday (the other being the $20 24 Seasons at BB). Only $20 more than the frontlit SP at Walmart plus some extras. Granted I only need it for GBA connectivity on GC games, but oh well.

Hmm, it looks like I'm skipping out on Best Buy for BF this year. So far, the only thing that interests me at BB is the Mario Party 7 GC bundle; which can easily be purchased at another retailer before/after Black Friday.

From the ads that have been released thus far, I plan on visiting CompUSA for the 160 GB External HDD, and EB Games for the $9.99 MGS3. Hopefully, Fry's Electronics will have some great deals.

Sweet. Looks like my BF plans are Target for GBA SP and Family Guy, and Best Buy for 24. If that's all I end up seeing, I think I'll duck out of venturing out with my fiancee and her mom and grandma... that might be too excessive for me.
 
How many hours do you get out of Lego Star Wars. I played it for a couple minutes at a friends house and liked it and $20 seems like a good deal. Is it a decent length game?
 
too bad there's no deal on xbox's mine broke like 6 months ago and i'm just a kid so i can't afford much and i can never find one for cheap.

It's rather sad how little there is this year thus far, compared to last year. SC:CT at BB and Doom3 CE/ROE at EB is about it for me.

Weak so far IMO. Last year some of that stuff seemed cheaper and with how bad retailers are hurting they arent making me wanna line up through all that BS yet.
 
Is World of Warcraft really going to be $24.99 at BestBuy? Otherwise I see no other deal I am interested in coming this Black Friday.
 
does anyone know of any deals on xboxs because i'm 13 mine broke and I have trouble coming by money and I can never find one for cheap.

Black Friday officially renamed Red Friday because there is no chance these deals will generate enough business to get these stores in the black.
 
Yeah, .mainly disappointing Black Friday stuff. Especially PS2, and Xbox prices staying the same price before and after the Xbox 360 launch. Shouldn't have there been a price drop since the next gen stuff. Wonder if there's gonna be any good Christmas, or day after Christmas sales?

I already have a list of items I am grabbing on BF, and one of the items is a video game...very strange since its usually the only reason I ever get up to go. But this year there seems to be good deals like the Razr phone at Best buy for $39.99 after rebate and I don't think you need to sign up with a contrat to get the phone.....Anyways no video games this year for me.
