I didn't pay attention before, but it looks like there are two Phantom Hour glass colored guides in the stock photo. Maybe when they mocked the photo up they didn't have a guide ready.

 
I'll definitely be in for those two Zelda guides. I have all the other ones, so I definitely don't want to miss out on those. :D

 
So the box set of LE Zelda guides comes with Wind Waker....yet the Wind Waker Wii U guide doesn't look the same as one of the guides included in the box. Strange.
 
To my fellow guide collectors: 

I've been a CAG for many years, but this is the first time something I'm working on actually applies to a deals thread! I work for Off Base Productions, we've authored and designed many guides for Brady & Prima in the past, and we're currently running a Kickstarter (Link) to self-publish a limited run of strategy guides for Mercenary Kings by Tribute Games. We're taking this one old-school, using the Nintendo Player's Choice series as our base of inspiration. 

If you haven't played Mercenary Kings yet, it's up on Steam right now through their early access program. Developed by Tribute Games, developers of Wizorb and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, Mercenary Kings is a kind of Metal Slug meets Monster Hunter hybrid with awesome gameplay, a rich gun crafting system, and chock full of amazing Paul Robertson sprite work. Our guide aims to capture those 16-bit feels, serving as both a field guide to the game and an art book chronicling the development from pencil to pixel. Here's our pitch video: 

The digital version of the guide will set you back $5 through the Kickstarter, or $10 at retail if/when its released. Physical copies are $20 for the regular edition ($25 at retail), or $40 for the limited variant cover by Corey Lewis. Aside from saving a few bucks, backers also get their name printed in the back of the book as our special thanks!

Here's the basic cover, which for backers will have a silver foil finish in the grey areas. Retail release won't have the shiny stuff or the gold Kickstarter Edition "seal of quality."

We're planning to make this a hybrid strategy guide and art book, similar to the level of content found in Japanese publications. Tribute's giving us access to their art archives so it should be fairly comprehensive. 

The launch is scheduled to coincide with the PS4 release of Mercenary Kings. Since Tribute is still in active development on the Steam Early Access release, this deadline helps us ensure the guide content will be accurate on release.

Just a warning to any overseas CAGs, we know international shipping is kinda crazy right now. We're working on a solution right now and hope to have some good news by early next week if not sooner.

I wish they would specifically come out and say "WiiU - HD version" or some sort of clarification. (Or, conversely, tell us its not the WiiU version.)

This KH 1.5 guide keeps going up and down. Saw it in the 40s earlier in the week. Yesterday it was low 20s. Earlier today it was 34.99. Guess they want to keep people off balance.

There was a promo running a few weeks back that gave you 20% off max $20. It was supposed to be a one time use, but had a glitch and was auto added to every order using your Amazon card. Many were sure all orders would get canceled but I have received three orders since. Ended up pre-ordering all my next gen stuff also, great deal and I hope it comes back again.

I am still so torn between that zelda box set. I own 3 of the 6 guides, 2 of them online are like $30-35 to buy by themselves, and then the last one is the 3D ocarina of time guide which they dont sell separately. Now I am going to get the CE of Link between worlds and wind waker HD.. but since this boxed set of guides doesnt have the cloth maps, and is therefore not really the CE edition, I dont know.

I think I may just get the boxed set, sell them all except 3d OoT, buy the 2 I am missing that WIL have the maps, and this way I'll get all the actual complete CEs, still get the cool chest, and save a bit of money overall since I have some to sell and can probably make $10-20 since they wont be opened. I can probably make a good $50 selling 5 of the CEs, thus pretty much paying for skyward sword and wind waker CE (not wii u) that I dont own.

Decisions decisions. Especially since I am stickler for CE stuff being complete. CE guide with no cloth map.. i might as well buy it used at that point

Edit: Oh... the boxed set comes with the Wind Waker HD guide.. so that one MUST have the cloth map right? Since it'll be brand new when this comes out? Cuz upon searching online I do not see the existence of a Wind Waker (gamecube) CE guide. Damn now I really dont know ! I guess ill just get them all and decide what to sell and what to return to amazon. argh damn my OCD for gaming stuff. haha I wish I just bought the others when they came out. what was i thinking

The box set will not contain any of the maps, not even the Wind Waker HD's.

Also, you might want to think about what you plan to do with the Skyward Sword guide, as the box set version has an extra 100 pages the version with the map doesn't.

 
Yea i just read that about the skyward sword guide. People said the regular ce doesnt have appendices of collectible stuff like heart containers and whatnot. I think im just gonna get the boxed set, also get wind waker hd and link between world guided and call it a day. Lol for completionist sake i might still get the original skyward sword ce. We'll see if i wanna blow $30-40 on it.haha Thanks.
 
Saw the KH HD guide and bought it on Amazon since it's out after the game and GS doesn't have a listing so no major discount from them. Add 100 Magic sleeves to build my Commander deck to get it over $25.

Looking at the original KH 1 paperback guide on Amazon there's a regular listing and a "1st edition" listing that look the exact same. Is there really any difference between them or is the KH 1 guide pretty much worthless now? Thanks in advance.
