Wow, I didn't get any instructions. I did notice that the case # was on the old shipping label though.
Well, after jumping through hoops, I had to pick my box up at UPS @ 7:30 pm. They made me pick it up at the guardhouse, which meant another 30 minute wait. Got the coffin, sent it off Tuesday.
After all of the bullshit for the coffin.. which was an empty box essentially... they left a Directron order at my doorstep without a hassle on Tuesday. So.. they'll give me hell about an empty box.. but drop off an Antec Nine Hundred case, and a box containing a lightscribe burner and some other various PC stuff at my doorstep? Like with the coffin, I left a letter on the door with my signature to please leave deliveries on the porch. They took the letter with them and left it.
DHL tried to deliver a package from Fry's on Monday containing an Asus mobo and E6550 processor. Of course they didn't leave it (which is understandable), so I picked it up at 5 & was in and out of the place within 60 seconds. One thing that I failed to mention with my local UPS office is that they refuse to allow pickup at 5.. either you get there before 5, or your SOL (unless you make arrangements to pick it up at the guard house between 7:30-9:00). I was much more impressed with DHL.. and honestly, if UPS were as nice as they were about things (and understood that people who can't sign for delivery usually work until 5).. I wouldn't have been so pissed about it.
Now my return shipping label was for 3 day shipping.. is that something everyone else is getting? Hopefully that speeds things up. The RMA # was on the bottom of the label, and I also printed off a page listing the # as well as the issues with the 360.
Everyone gets UPS 3-Day Shipping.
About having to pick it up at night, it's because anything before 6:30, and your package is still on the truck. DHL only delivers until 4, while UPS delivers until roughly 6:30. Generally if they miss you during the day, you can pick it up same-day after 6:30.
