Well darn, had it in my cart for an hour or two deciding whether to get it. It'd be my first PS4 CE and with it I'd be opening the door to start collecting all the jRPG CEs I missed and have to get a ps4. guess that means I'm sticking with xbox for now.

I was thinking of getting it, too. But I already have the MGS V CE and MN9 SE preordered, and several Tales games in my backlog. Guess it selling out was a sign that I shouldn't get it, haha.

Gamesop.com has added a new little annoyance to their website. Everything on their front page says "only" next to the price. Mirror's Edge CE only $199.99! It doesn't matter what the price is, I guess.

What is this the 1980's? Using cheap terminology to try to generate sales? Usually most companies these days only slap that "only" next to a price, when they have a clearance sale or something. Otherwise it gets redundant.

Even with tales being sold out there is always a chance of OMS. I did that for my witcher CE 2 weeks after launch and had no problems with it.

given it went up and sold out while I was at work I have just decided i will wait and see if it goes on sale.

it's odd that the namco store doesn't list it for sale itself though so it might actually be limited this time around, which would suck if I missed it, but at the same time my $32 ps3 version is a lot cheaper than even the $104 limited edition.

I would have preordered if I was around when it went live on best buy though, but since I consider figures in most LE to be throw away items (I dislike chibi anything for the most part) this LE really doesn't look worth it.

Seem to recall BBY had BO3 Juggernog Edition, and it clearly showed SOLD OUT the next day. I feel Coming Soon means we still have a chance, cause I really want to use my GCU on this one.

Well you never know, there's been plenty of recent releases that showed coming soon, but never appeared again. And eventually changed to sold out online. I think BBY waits until the manufacturer confirms they will not be getting anymore before changing it to sold out. But lately BBs track record for CEs coming back in stock after going OOS has not been good.

The last couple major collector's editions were never available to be ordered in OMS .. So definitely not a guarantee on that

out of that entire package I only want the steelbook, OST, BD and Artbook the rest I'd probably sell seeing how I don't get the idea of figmas. Most likely I could also buy the pieces also.

It did list if for sale. It was the only place that had it for sale for quite awhile. I had one preordered on their site but cancelled as soon as it went up on Amazon.

I got one. I saw it earlier, and ordered one. I kind of had buyers remorse thinking I might be able to get one cheaper later. Then it sold out and I no longer regret it.

 
Well, for those who want the CE but maybe wanted to pay $48 for the game at BBY, Gamestop now has a $140 sku for "Mirrors Edge Collectors Edition - No Game included".   I didnt write down the SKU, but it was on yesterday's list of "Collectibles" rather than video games.

What did you type in? I can't find any hits for Mirror's Edge or No Game Included for this $140 edition. Tried under Collectibles with no luck either.

Yeah. They are just doing a second pressing. I imagine they will stop taking preorders at some point and that'll be it. Basically they didn't expect it to be as popular as it was. Normally they only do one.

well they did 3 pressings of Miami hotline 2 even though only one was planned due to popularity so possible this one could end up having up to three pressings total to
 
Mondo tweeted that vinyls aren't necessarily limited in printings like their posters. Just food for thought.

yea they tweeted that pre orders will be live all summer long to so look like they are taking unlimited pre orders and just going to manufacture how ever many are pre order at the end

Yeah. Bad idea if you were doing this for speculative purposes. They said all sales are final - no refunds. Even preorders too lol.
