Wow that is a big ass box which = big ass discounts when nobody is buying these and the stores need to make some room.

Like ssj said if they had just included some exclusive DLC it would have been fine at $150. Exclusive Skyrim DLC = $$$ on ebay which would have had me and I'm sure others buying it.

So as far as I can tell, Space Marine CE is exclusive to THQ.Com. This would lead me to think it would actually be pretty limited and rare but it's also a 100 bucks which is pretty overpriced considering it's contents.

Even then I would be more tempted but I noticed the Dead Rising High Stakes CE is actually being clearanced at 59.99 on the Capcom Store and was also an exclusive CE.

Anyone have an opinion on whether this thing is actually worth the "MSRP"?

Wow, this is one of the best threads ever. Pics and everything.

Okay... now I have to get the Assassin's Creed Revelations Signature edition and Mass Effect 3 Definitive Edition... my wallet hates you.
Wow that is a big ass box which = big ass discounts when nobody is buying these and the stores need to make some room.
You'd think so, but there are still $150 boxes of Band Hero in damn near every store. And Walmart waited nearly a year to drop the price on the Arkham Asylum CE's taking up the shelves of four games.

Cleaned up the first post a bit, added some links to related threads including the newest CE Game guide thread. Added the MW3 hardened edition as well as that Back to the Future deluxe edition.

Two things: Dark Souls can be moved up since it's coming 10/4 (update release too) and for your graveyard post, you can use customspoiler=MONTH tags if you want to clean that up plus remove red font from it all.

thanks, didn't know about the spoiler thing. Let me check it out

edit: did the custom spoilers, looks much cleaner. Thanks again :)

This site has a ton of functionality; it's pretty sweet TBH. ;)

I've been watching this CE for the last few months. Almost bit at $79.99, but never saw the "limited stock" appear in the release date column, so I felt confident waiting even longer. Told myself I'd give it one more month until OTR showed up on the Capcom store in case of another drop, but said screw it and just ordered it this morning.

The Space Marine CE might share a similar fate on the THQ store if you're willing to wait long enough, but with me having no experience on that site previously or how many they stock, I shamefully bit early:lol: After holding it in my hands, I'd say it's worth it and don't feel any remorse for paying MSRP for it, but that's just me.

Yeah it does. This is now the SECOND time I've wished I either lived overseas or could cheaply import one of these CE versions from the UK. The other one being the God Of War 3 Ultimate Edition in the UK, which came with the God Of War Collection game right inside the Pandora's Box replica AND it had all physical copies of the other extra items, while the U.S. version received all DLC codes for those.:bomb:

Any of you guys actually biting on the Skyrim CE? Im going ot pre order a version of this game, since i heard that the regular game comes with a neat cloth map. It reminds me of the old school PS1 days =) I was eyeballing the CE, but $150 seems like quite a lot. It seems like all it really has is the dragon statue (which i dont care about really), art book, and cloth map (which you get with regular edition pre-order)

I dunno, while i LOVE swag, $150 seems excessive considering out of those 3 items i only really want the artbook and cloth map. And the map can be gotten with the regular edition. I guess the question is whether this will be one of those overproduced CE's like halo reach, killzone, infamous, ect, that will be $60 in 3-6 months. As a few people have mentioned last page, the giant size makes me think it may be. I see several people mentioning they are passing on it or canceled their orders.. is anyone actually shelling out $150 for this thing?

I assume you are talking about the Skyrim CE, then yeah I put down on it. Based on what I read about it, the quantities are going to be "Extremely Limited" to quote. $150 does seem like abit much, but I have dropped close to that much before and I usually wait for most other games and get the CE's cheap down the road so it balances out. There's only 3 or 4 series that I purchase day one. I just hope they aren't over-hyping the quantity or I'm gonna be slightly upset.....

err ya.. no idea why i said Oblivion, derp o_O

overhyping the quantity is just what im worried about. I would LOVE that artbook, but honestly i dont care aobut the statue at all. It looks kinda cheap and its the bulk of the price. Maybe i'll just get the regular edition and look for the book on ebay or something later, that would probably work out better. I dont think it even has a steelbook does it?

I dunno, I love the Elder Scrolls series, but I'm not paying an extra $90 for a statue I don't really want or have room for.
I dunno, I love the Elder Scrolls series, but I'm not paying an extra $90 for a statue I don't really want or have room for.
Yeah. Maybe it will drop few months after release?
Is the only difference between gamestop and amazon's Forza 4 limited edition the pre order car, alfa romeo (gamestops) and Subaru (amazon)?
i believe so.
Yeah. Maybe it will drop few months after release?
It's possible, but it all depends on how many are produced. The boxes are huge, so stores won't want it hanging around taking up space.

I might be in for MW3 Hardened Edition. Though it is somewhat pricey at $100, I think it will be worth it considering how many hours of gameplay MW3 multiplayer can give. :)

Best Buy also has a Forza promotion where you get a BMW 1-Series M Coupe preorder DLC, and real Forza-brand Fuzzy Dice that you can put in your car or whatever, if you purchase online. I think I would go for that one, I mean come on, Fuzzy Dice.......

Anyone know any driving wheel for 360 with gear stick and pedals with clutch?? I want manual transmission baby... With force feedback preferably :)

OR u can place the game and dice in the cart, remove game, and the dice is only $5 in the cart. That's if anyone just want the dice and maybe F1 2011.

Exactly how rare is that GoW3 Marcus Fenix statue going go be? Damn I really want it but not for $150!
CheapyD posted this from TGS. Not sure what the story is. http://www.flickr.com/photos/cheapyd/6149572493/in/set-72157627543347997/lightbox/
That's the new Forza Fanatec Driving wheel. And its fanatec so its usually $200

BUT NOT THIS ONE SUGAR TITS

THIS MOTHERfuckERS $700

YES $700

Read about it yesterday. I'd post the link but I'm on blackberry and copy pasting is a hassle :/

Sorry for calling you sugar tits btw, unless if that arouses you.

It's strange, something told me to look up Tekken Hyrbrid on Amazon and once there I spotted a Limited edition for it. Apparently this was just leaked. I totally have E.S.P.

Here's the info for it taken from the op. No official pics yet:

Tekken Hybrid: Limited Edition (PS3)

 • Tekken Hybrid, a PS3 exclusive contains:
 • Tekken Tag Tournament HD
 • Tekken Blood Vengeance 3D The Movie

 • 2 full length music CDs containing fan favorite tracks from Tekken Tag HD and Tekken Tag 2
 • PSN Home content: Tekken themed costumes and accessories

Where to Buy:
Amazon
Gamestop

Looks like GS will be your last chance to get a TOR CE, as Amazon is now OOS (this time probably for good). I see this slipping to next year, since beta has not gone to plan so far.
Exactly how rare is that GoW3 Marcus Fenix statue going go be? Damn I really want it but not for $150!
I would suspect not very rare. I was at a Gamestop in a very small suburban mall and they received 25 of them late last week. It literally filled most of the area near the counter and they couldn't figure out how to store the boxes.

Hmmm not bad but nothing much for me.
If it came with a steelbook I would be sold.
Guess I have to wait and see what the packaging will look like.

I guess i'm not very hip, because i have no idea what a TOS Collectors Edition is...

You meant TOR. As in "The Old Republic." Star Wars MMO / PC only.

Hey thanks for the heads up on this, since its not in the op, I didn't know about this. Weird that I can pick up the dice in store but not the game? Would be too embarrased to drive down their for just a pair of dice. Might try going in store to see if i can do both there.

Hmm.. I wondering if theres a final word on the Fate/Extra LE. It seems right now you ONLY get the pre order bonus from Gamestop, which would be ok, but for some stupid reason it seems its ONLY online, which really makes no sense. Id really rather not pay both sales tax, and shipping to a store i dont like. I keep waiting for them to do it in store or somewhere else to get it.

BTW, Tekken Hybrid looks kinda cool, but i may wait for some pics before i decide if i want the LE. the $40 price tag was neat. Looks like the LE is about MSRP for a regular game but there isn't much swag. Just an art book and music CD's. I dont really care too much for sountracks, but artbooks can be cool THe question will be if its a real, good quality artbook, or a cheap tiny one with some weak renders in it

hmm maybe its the lack of sleep last night, but what the hell is TOR?

really? Yeesh, people use too many abbreviations >_

For both cases, more for me!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Aksys to offer the preorder bonus that's exclusive to Gamestop through their online store at a later time.

Question, Amazon has stopped accepting pre-orders for the collector's edition for Star Wars the Old Republic, what are the chances they start taking pre-orders again or are they pretty much done?

I believe they're about done. Maybe a few here or there for cancellations, but yeah, they're probably through.

I've got one that I would be willing to sell, as I don't think I'll be able to afford it, but the code has been used.

I could see about changing the account info for someone if anyone is interested. I'll just send it to them through amazon as a gift or whatever.

Yeah, that does kind of suck. Also, remember that Q's are limited, so get a preorder in quick to guarantee yourself a copy.

I have been looking for information on the Skyrim collectors edition. No where does it say anything about coming with the physical map. Even though it shows it in the photo. On amazon it talks about it on the product page of the regular edition, but nothing about the collectors editon getting it.

I think all copies including the CE will come with a paper map, but the premium one which apparently has a burlap feel to it might only be for the regular edition Pre-orders.
