Halo 3? It dropped fast as retailers had no room to store it since they were full up with Guitar Hero and Rock Band that year and they were absolutely flooded with the Halo 3 CE. It took about 8 months and drops to sub $50 from $150, until I finally stopped seeing it around regularly.

That was the old ad with the disclaimer of not final product. We're getting essentially the Apocalypse edition the EU is with that steelbook, which is far better than what they had before. It's partially what sold me on buying it. ;)

Wasn't the Halo 3 CE also around for a long time? Or the Killzone 3 Helghast Edition? Not sure those dropped as far but feel like those were around much longer... who knows though.

I'm curious about this. So I have 2 of the CE's for FF15 pre ordered. If I was to sell one EBay, what protection is there for the seller? Couldn't someone just say they were delivered a box of rocks and they get their money back? I have bought from eBay for years but maybe only sold 2 smaller items in 15+ years. I am thinking I would just sell the extra on Craigslist and meet at a safe place, keep the extra one sealed, or sell to one of my CAG friends I play The Division with at cost who didn't get a pre order in (none have stated interest in it so far)

There's basically no protection for the seller on eBay, unless you're a big time seller. They advertise this and that, but it's all BS.

For something that valuable, I'd go the extra mile--take multiple pictures of the CE before packing it up and with the mailing label attached to the shipping box, enforce Signature Confirmation so the buyer can't claim they never received it, and pray that he/she doesn't file a claim.

Also, in my opinion it's not worth it. Maybe my perception of selling on eBay is skewed by all the horror stories I hear, but I would rather sell to someone that would probably rape and kill me because at they would be doing it in person (Craigslist, various garage sale apps).

I actually went through something when I legitimately decided not to keep a 20th anniv. PS4 a few months after release. Essentially the guy told me it was "broken" and needed repair and wanted it fixed as well as discounted. After tons of fighting I took a few hundred off just to be done with it. If you think about there is nothing to be done about an open item with no replacement so caveat venditor if you do it.

I'm not going to chance it. I just really do not want to keep 2 because of the cost on top of buying the PSVR bundle soon afterwards. My kids will have to eat ramen. I'll either do craigslist or sell it to a CAG friend at cost.

I missed out on the FF15 Ultimate CE. If your Division buddies don't want it, I'd happily take you up on that offer.

Im still beatng my head on the table for buying ToZ CE for full price during the holidays thinking it was going to sell out...i havent even got around to playing it yet ><

Not unexpected after xillia 1 and 2 CEs both dropped to $40 at some points. Also doesn't help that the games apparently not that great.

Meh.  I'm a JRPG whore and I've never quite been the same since Square died starting with FF7.

I have no regrets paying full price for a Tales game.  At least someone is trying to fill the void in my soul.

Just a heads up, that JC3 CE is crap. The grappling hook thingy is very cheaply made and barely stays on the display stand. I got it when it was about $50 somewhere recently (Best Buy?) and it was worth that only because of the game. I feel sorry for anyone that paid the original retail price for the thing.

Sad that I missed those at that price. Mostly interested in the figure from 1, the stuff from 2 and ToZ looks meh, but I like that steelbook from ToZ.

If your only interested in the figure, you should get the figure of her made by alter. Much higher quality and not too expensive last I checked.
