I really want the Wii U version, but if I couldn't get that, and had to choose between Vita and Switch, I'd go with Switch. Likely higher resale value (if it comes to that) plus best of both worlds: Big screen + TV.

I appreciate the input. After further thought, I think I'm gonna go with Vita. I don't typically resell my games, and I prefer playing games with old school graphics on smaller screens anyway. And at the end of the day, I don't think I want to pay $10 extra and give up trophies for the soundtrack CD.
 
Wii U game prices are shooting up rapidly.  As a system with only < 150 titles and being relatively new and still realistic for most budgets, it's low hanging fruit for aspiring 100% collectors.  If you have any interest in Wii U I'd grab a Wii U copy regardless, esp as it's a contender for last physical game released on the system.

It's been mentioned multiple times now that the developer is 100% committed to a NA Wii U physical release but is having problems with retailers who will no longer stock Wii U titles.

These don't appear to be in outer boxes or anything that would be damaged and don't appear to be particularly limited. Normal cases typically survive shipping and loose discs can be reseated easily enough.

I'd rather order elsewhere though as between amiibo and collector editions I'm pretty much done with Amazon other than lame ass exclusives.

The latest insult is a number of games that don't have the 20% Prime discount because they claim they are "collector editions" when they aren't. (eg: Atlus launch editions, or like Aerea having the words "collector edition" on the normal case art when it's not actually a collector edition). They are abusing the "collector edition" exception as hard as possible, which sadly coincides with publishers littering "special edition" all over the case art of everything to ride and exploit the wildfire collector train.

The standard edition would arrive fine in a bubble mailer. The multiverse edition would probably arrived dented or crushed if not ship in a box.
 
I've ordered a few things from VGP, and while their shipping wasn't perfect, it was leaps and bounds better than Amazon. 

I'm really having the same issue, as I don't know which to order from. So long as Amazon has stock, I can keep returning damages, but that gets old. Plus I don't want to be black balled for to many returns, so I try to keep returns to a minimum where I can. And knowing full well these we be shipped like ass, I'm better off just not doing it in the first place.

Since there really is no benefit to going with Amazon(since these aren't discounted), I'll probably just go the VGP route. Those damn bubble mailers are the bane of my existence, no question.

Per the developer, the game is coming for Wii U, but it won't be through Amazon. It will likely be some other third party. I check daily for it; really want the last Wii U game plus, it's perhaps best on the Wii U as you have a map in your hands.

I have read in several places that they plan on giving the soundtrack away as a preorder bonus for the other Multiverse editions but I haven't seen any details on it so I don't know if it is retailer specific, or region (i.e. EU) specific.

Is the Multiverse edition supposed to be in a "launch edition" style box or is it just inserts inside the case? Can't find anything other than placeholder art to verify.

There's bad blood between AV's dev and LRG... it was discussed in the LRG thread but in short: LRG wanted to do a run of X number of copies, AV's dev said that was too few and wanted a much bigger run. LRG argued it wouldn't sell and sit on shelves. Dev disagreed. Both parties decided to back out of talks.

Seriously, I wish retailers would stop that bundling nonsense (at least with clearance crap). Or at least give us some sort of mix n match list to pick through for our worthless bundles.

Welp... At least it's not Roman Reigns. Funny how it's $50 more than the NXT edition, but generally has similar items, only that a John Cena figure is worth more than a Finn Balor one, and a John Cena signature is worth more than a Shinsuke Nakamura one.

Should've been a Kurt Angle or Hardy Boyz CE instead.

Or a list of Jericho CE.

$60 more than the deluxe edition for a figure and a signed piece of cardboard. Pass.

I would have preferred another NXT Edition or Hardys, etc etc.

I also wouldn't put this next to your other action figures, or else they'll be buried.

With all the heat Cena gets, I expect it to be on clearance like the 2K17 ones on Amazon.

Also surpised it didn't come with a little American flag prop for mini Cena.

Can anyone actually get the Cena figure image to work? I can't see him.
