[SIZE=+1]Three important notes[/SIZE] (please read these before posting questions):

[SIZE=+1]1)[/SIZE] Most of the prices listed below will not be shown on the games at any given Kmart. Chances are if you can find them (and they don't have restickered UPCs - see point 3 below) they will ring up at one of the clearance prices listed. The best way to check it is to bring a UPC sheet with you and use the floor scanners to verify the pricing before you ask the Kmart associate to open the case.

[SIZE=+1]2)[/SIZE] Kmart price drops are generally national in scope. However, each store must process the price drops individually. While the price drops originate from corporate, different stores have wildly different ways of dealing with them. Some will implement them immediately, some weeks later, and some, it seems, never. Also, there are occasional glitches in the pricing where a game that is otherwise on clearance will ring up at full price at certain stores.

OK, on to the prices...

The wonderful thing about Kmart is that they combine dirt-cheap clearance pricing with a general lack of organization. Thus CAGs in the know, hopefully using info from this thread, can find some amazing deals.

First off, here's the UPC database list as created by Slash and updated by MightySlacker: http://kmart.slashbunny.com/. Use this to verify pricing in your local Kmart.

The prices are organized alphabetically and by system (thanks again to ShiningSlade for starting it off this way). What we are currently missing is a good list of accessories. I have added a few that I know about. We need more info on these (and there must be more to uncover).

In general, I'm sticking with ShiningSlade's method of listing games. However, there are a few changes. Since the exact pricing is so YMMV, and many games ring up at 2 or 3 different clearance prices I will list all of these separated by slashes, with the cheapest first. For example: Psychonauts $3/$14/$24. I am also adding a bit to the color coding - see below:

As for what I did pick up:

:xbox: Tomb Raider Legends $10.50
:gc: Odama $8.40

I also saw some Burnout game for GC for $5 before discount...anyone know if those games are any good? Not sure which one it was, but I imagine they're all the same :)

PRMega, Burnout 2 for the GC is an awesomely kickass game, and they all are not really the same. Burnout 1 and 2 use a mechanic in which you can only use your boost once you have completely filled your meter by driving wrecklessly, at which point you can either use your boost all the way through or stop using it and fill it up again before getting to use it. Furthermore, if you successfully use your entire boost bar, it's called a "burnout" and causing a burnout automatically refills your boost bar. You can then get "Burnout x2", "Burnout x3", and so on, as long as you never stop boosting. This combo system of boosting encourages you to drive at top speed the entire race, and doing so is both immensely satisfying when you succeed, and incredibly brutal when you fail.

Basically, this mechanic makes Burnout 2 - my favorite Burnout title - the most intense racer I've ever played. Burnout 1 had weirdly designed courses given the nature of the game, but 2 really refined the formula. With 3, they did away with the consecutive boosting mechanic and made it just like every other boost bar that can be used whenever, but that is irrelevent because 3 never came out for the Cube.

Basically, buy that game if it is Burnout 2!!!

It's YMMV with the three month kit. One Kmart by me that had it was selling it on clearance, while another was selling at regular price.
 
I picked up a 12 month XBL Starter Kit, including Project Gotham Racing 2, at Kmart today for $33.20. The box was marked "Xbox 360 compatible", and sure enough, it worked fine, renewing my subscription for another year. Plus I got PGR2 (and the original Geometry Wars) in the deal, so sweet all around.

I didn't see too much else, but then again, this Kmart is in the ghetto and the PS2 games especially were all mixed together. I saw various clearance stickers on games in the case, but nothing else I was interested in.
 
That's insane, good job on the Guitar Hero bundle. I picked up Karaoke Revolution Country. I'll hate if it I ever decide to play it, but meh.

Not to turn this into a trade thread (Is the trade thread still alive?) but I picked up Final Fantasy IV and the Metroid Zero/Spyro pack for anyone that wants it. Trade or for sale, just PM me.
 
At my work, I think we still have like 10 or so of the Spyro/Metroid bundles XD.

Anyways tonight I grabbed:

Musashi Samurai Legends - PS2 - $3 (I had to manually add it back into the system, as the UPC expired, but I made it 90% of the last ticketed price... so yeah)

There's other stuff there like Odama and whatnot that I don't really want... if you're looking for something and want me to mail it to you, let me know and I'll check and see if we have it, iirc tomorrow's the last day for the sale.

Seriously. I remembered seeing a GH bundle the other day, but I wasn't sure if it was the first or second. I scanned UPCs over at the scanner and only the first bundle is marked down (GH2 for PS2 and Xbox 360 are still regularly priced). Moment I saw GH was marked to $24.50 for the bundle, I hauled ass over the area and sure enough it was the first one. And it was gathering a ton dust, too. Guess no one wanted it.

Also scanned a few other games. Valkyrie Profile 2 is DEFINATELY YMMV as it rang up as $29.99 on the UPC scanner. Still pissed I can't find Minish Cap, nor get MGS3 Sub. at a cheap price (rang up as $29.99 under the title "MGS3").

I just picked up Neopets for the PSP for $2.80. Not bad for the game. The stores in the KC area still are not marking their games right however I found someone who was willing to scan away for me. . .
 
They are really trying to clear out all the old crap in the stores with this 30% off. I think the reason might be that K-mart will be gradually remodeling all their stores. I was on their site and saw a link http://www.kmart.com/shc/s/dap_10151_10104_DAP_Remodel that shows pictures of the remodeled stores. They look a lot like Sears now, so if they do get around to doing this it might end the great deals we have been finding. As I'm sure then you won't have to wait 30 minutes to get someone to open up a case, as someone will be there always on the electronics floor. I really hope they don't remodel my local ones.
 
According to the signs at my Kmart, there seems to be no actual ending date and that it's merely stating it's while supplies last.

kmart's prices are always YMMV. the old 3 month live kit (original xbox) with the headset i saw for $12.xx

Thanks for the tip...but of course I went in today and Burnout was gone! They had some new stuff out, so I ended up grabbing :gc: Need For Speed Most Wanted and Underground. Any thoughts on either of these? :)

Everything's crammed in there, with the games facing forward, instead of sideways, so you can't see what the hell they have inside the cases. The clerks there are the typical Hispanic, middle-aged women who don't know a thing about games and won't let you even look through the games in the case cause they can't be bothered.

I bought the last Xbox Live 12-month kit from there for $12 a couple of months back. That was my ONLY noteworthy grab from there, aside from a Halo Triple-Pack from nearly a year ago.

Derrick, I believe the 30% off clearance bonus was this weekend only.


I hit my local Kmart today to check their games. The place was a disaster. I don't know what they did in the past two months since I was there last, but you couldn't see but a few games. There were all sorts of games hidden behind front-facing games and it was just a mess. I asked a woman working Electronics what happened, and she didn't know (just covering breaks) but she did offer to open the cases for me to dig through. Didn't reallly have the time, considering Sunday I have late lunch at Zaxby's with the little bro.

So I went looking for either the Etherial Princess barbie or (I forget the other angel type barbie from around Holiday time). Gone. Drats. They would have been $7 a piece.

Did grab the woody 360 faceplate for $1.75. I have no desire to put that on my 360, but for under $2, I can experiment with customizing.

I don't know if it's YMMV or not, but my local Kmarts(Edwardsville, PA near Wilkes-Barre) had USPS packing supplies on clearance when I hit the one store this weekend. And, now that I think bout it, I should've bought that $(&(&%in' tape gun kit I saw they had for $6 something(which would've been $4 something with the 30% off all clearance).

Although, my guide trades/sales have slowed to a stop for now it seems, so I have no need for it. But, for some reason, I always wanted a tape gun. LOL

I did manage to find a copy of WarioWare: Touched! at a K-Mart despite how old it is, it still rang up $34.99. I picked it up because I had heard it was hard to find and going for a lot on eBay. That doesn't seem to be quite the case now, but it looks like if I pick up a used complete copy at GameStop I can make back the price by selling this sealed one.
 
someone cleared all the games at the Riveidge Kmart in New Orleans...all i got was Metroid Pinball, Sprung (it was less then a dollar...lol), and SSX on tour for 3 bucks.


Most of the games on this list rang up full price.
