[SIZE=+1]Three important notes[/SIZE] (please read these before posting questions):

[SIZE=+1]1)[/SIZE] Most of the prices listed below will not be shown on the games at any given Kmart. Chances are if you can find them (and they don't have restickered UPCs - see point 3 below) they will ring up at one of the clearance prices listed. The best way to check it is to bring a UPC sheet with you and use the floor scanners to verify the pricing before you ask the Kmart associate to open the case.

[SIZE=+1]2)[/SIZE] Kmart price drops are generally national in scope. However, each store must process the price drops individually. While the price drops originate from corporate, different stores have wildly different ways of dealing with them. Some will implement them immediately, some weeks later, and some, it seems, never. Also, there are occasional glitches in the pricing where a game that is otherwise on clearance will ring up at full price at certain stores.

OK, on to the prices...

The wonderful thing about Kmart is that they combine dirt-cheap clearance pricing with a general lack of organization. Thus CAGs in the know, hopefully using info from this thread, can find some amazing deals.

First off, here's the UPC database list as created by Slash and updated by MightySlacker: http://kmart.slashbunny.com/. Use this to verify pricing in your local Kmart.

The prices are organized alphabetically and by system (thanks again to ShiningSlade for starting it off this way). What we are currently missing is a good list of accessories. I have added a few that I know about. We need more info on these (and there must be more to uncover).

In general, I'm sticking with ShiningSlade's method of listing games. However, there are a few changes. Since the exact pricing is so YMMV, and many games ring up at 2 or 3 different clearance prices I will list all of these separated by slashes, with the cheapest first. For example: Psychonauts $3/$14/$24. I am also adding a bit to the color coding - see below:

Interesting experience at Kmart today (Oct 31st). So I thought I'd stop in to use the 10% off coupon for the last time. Well, apparently it expired ON the 31st as the cashier said it came up as an expired promo. Oh well... But also, for the second time at a second store, I had LOTR:BfME II come up at full price ($29.99). At this store it was stickered $19, and the guy said "I hate when people do this" and proceeded to remove the sticker and said it was mis-marked. When I said I thought it was one of the clearance games (it was in a rack with all the other clearance games which were pulled out about a week ago and correctly marked by his co-worker), he said it was not on clearance. It was no big deal as it was simply an extra I thought I'd pick up with the 10% coupon which didn't work anyway. But his attitude was a bit annoying. Plus the fact that he was wrong. Clearly it did come up with the sale price a week ago as the other guy specifically pulled out and price checked all the clearance games and marked them as such. But something has changed.

Now that I've seen this happen at 2 different stores, I'm wondering if certain games are being removed from the clearance? I'd like to know if anyone else finds LOTR:BfME II scan at the clearance price from now on. Over G Fighters as well (though that only came up full price at one store for me - couldn't find it anywhere else). FWIW, at this same store Weds, Xmen and FF XI did ring up at the expected prices (with 30% discount applied too).
 
Quick question about flipping games at gamestop - does store credit only apply to the particular store you trade games to, or is the credit available at other eb/gs's? I.e. if I have dupes can I trade some in at one gs and some in at another gs, and have one credit for any gs?

I saw a couple copies of LOTR: BfNE II at my K-Mart last week in the clearance bin but I didn't pick it up or have it scanned. I was planning on stopping by on my way home from work tonight so I'll check it out for you.

Yep, you can get your credit put on a card (your Edge card if you have one) and use it at any GS.

Credit goes on an Edge card (whether you paid for it or not - they can give you a plain one if you don't have the discount sticker). You can then use it like a gift card at any EB/GS.

I had a similar experience yesterday, too, and totally called them on it...

I had been by earlier in the week, and had Chromehounds scanned, but it came up as $59.99 although they were stickered $29.99. I had passed then, but with the coupon expiring (apparently a day early, unbeknownst to me) I wanted to pick them up and do a return/rebuy at my local store, which has consistently correct prices.

First things first; I turn my $100 cash into $125 in gift cards.

So, they scan for $59.99, and the clerk refused to override it and states that the $29.99 is an incorrect tag and they have no obligation to honor it. A manager gets called over, and concurs with him; "The comuter is very rarely wrong."

"Well, I think it is. In fact, its probably less than $30 -- I've seen them at other K-Marts on clearance; I'm pretty sure its on the latest list."

"You've seen them marked down at other K-Mart stores?" He takes the games into the back, comes back about ten minutes later, "You're in for a nice surprise. They're on clearance and on sale even further; ringing up at $4.90 now."

Score. I picked up three, a Caleba's Deer Hunt, Bionicle, and some other stuff...grand total was $50.95 for about nine games.

I heard that ChromeHounds was pretty good, but I don't have a 360 (although I'm planning on getting one). Should I flip this one, or is it good enough to hold on to?

Also, I'm probably giving my little brother Bionicle for Christmas (spoiled kid has a 360 at his father's house). But one question -- is it any good? The kid is 10, young enough to like Bionicle but also old enough to recognize a crappy game.

Tales of the Abyss 19.99 (was not considered clearance so no extra 30%)
(these games scanned these prices at the register)
 
Someone should do a list of the games that Kmart has on clearance and what their trade in values are. I am trying to keep an updated list by reading some of these posts. if anyone has any advice, please I'm all ears

That is going to be difficult since a lot of us are buying to keep. Plus, people trade-in at different places.
 
I'll check on these game that might have been unclearanced as soon as I can. My last experience was the only time I had trouble with a k-mart clearance game.

The 30% LAST week that was in the ad wasn't automatic at my K-mart. My receipt for Kirby: Cursed Canvas said $23 instead of $16.10. I went to customer service and attempted to explain simple mathematics to them (Their arguement that $23 was 30% off the stickered price of $34.99. For thoes taking notes, 30% off $34.99 is $24.49 if I'm not mistaken.) I was finally able to get them down (after referencing the sales ad and explaining the meaning of the word "All") but it just wasn't as smooth as I would have liked.

Based on the problems other people have at their k-marts, I probably don't have much room to complain :whistle2:#

The 12-month subscription code should work for you. If it doesn't, you'll need to call Xbox Support.

Yu-Yu-Hakusho (GBA) - $3 - $2.10

Mostly to flip em, but you can't beat that Super-Punch Out for $7 after disc. Thanks CAG. Thanks OP and all subsequent, helpful P's... ...

ChromeHounds isn't anything great. Singleplayer basically consits of training missions and the rest of the game is base around Live... which isn't very good either. Unless you like repetative strafing around other units every single time because all the tanks move so damn slow. Play if for acheivements if you're into that and then flip and move on.

Also for bionicle well... let's just say "3.5/10"

I picked one up last week, I think, right around when the 30% off deal started. My kit said it expired in March 2007 as well, but I logged into my 360 account and tried putting in the number and it worked like a charm.
 
Actually how much does UltraMix 4 trade in at? also the blockbuster around me are clearing out every xbox game that they have for 15 each.
 
Returned Tales of the Abyss that I bought before it went clearance and repurchased it at different time in the same day yesterday for $13.30.

The 10% off coupon didn't work for me (it worked a day earlier). It came up as Invalid Reward. Not sure if corporate cracked down on the coupon or it's just my local store.

It was reported already that the coupon actually expired on the 31st, instead of running until the end of the day of the 31st.

I picked up DDR Ultramix 4 for $4.90 after discount, so it's confirmed. I couldn't get the cashier to scan the pad bundle version, and it was marked at $54.99 with a regular tag, not a yellow clearance tag.
 
I would just like to say that $25 K-Mart Gift Card for $20 + 30% off clearance titles + 10% off total purchase + $10 Credit on each two 360 games at GameStop + Buy a GameCube, Get a Free Game + Flip GameCube on eBay/Amazon for $30 is ludicrous awesome.

Well i guess both Chantilly and Fairfax have been picked cleaned of high flip value 360 games. She (Joanna) told me that no one else has been coming in and buying clearance games, but told me she would keep an eye out for anything and let me know down the road :| I think her also cute sister works as a cashier in that store.. Nancy ? except she doesn't have zits. :)

Chromehounds is a hell of a buy at $5. I had a lot of fun with the single-player, though it is a bit short. The multiplayer was fun with the CAG clan for a bit, but that fizzled out after a brief revival a few months back as all the other new games started coming out. Still, I think it is well worth it just for the single-player campaign. Sure, it was not worth $60, but $5? Hell yes!

Damnit! I forgot about Urban Chaos. THe last Kmart I was at had it in the glass case but I overlooked it. That's one of my top 10 favorite Xbox titles.

Just in case anyone cares, I took the two copies of Moto GP 06 (360) that I had paid $19.99 each for to a different Kmart. I told them that I was pretty sure the games were on clearance and that I was overcharged.

The girl at customer service looked the game up and said it should have been $4.90. She did a return and then resold the games to me at the lower price. She said they normally don't do that for clearance items, but seeing as I was just going to return them otherwise she would make an exception.

I bought some games that weren't given the 30% off and when getting that fixed at another location the Rogue Galaxy I got at full price rang up at the clearance price and they gave it to me for clearance minus 30% off, too. Worth a shot if someone really wants a game that won't scan at clearance price at their K and they have another K to take it to.

The copy of Amped 3 that I found was listed at 19.99 but I bought it anyway and I got it for a little over 7 bucks. They didn't really have a lot of 360 games but the DS stuff was overflowing, but had no prices on them. I'm going to go back and try to pick up Contact, Magnetica, and Animal Crossing for the DS.

I'm hoping that the prices have dropped since then.

I still haven't gotten to VJ2 yet because of MY backlog but I played VJ about 3 times thru. If you get the time to play it thru perfectly (all V Score) you can get infinite power and that will sure to be even MORE fun.
 
Another Kmart, another bust. They had alot of games, but none I was looking for. I'm not sure if it was mentioned, but the other Cabela's (not alaskan) is on clearance for $19 ($13.50 after discount).

On the plus side, I FINALLY managed to get the Revan and Malak figures we've been hunting for. Too bad they were $8.50 each at Kmart, but nowhere else had them.

Good find on the KOTOR figures. I have yet to see them or any of that set in stores. A quick question for you: Did you see the Hermi Odle figure there as well?

Was that the PS2 or Xbox version? I saw the PS2 version with some ridiculous price at one store ($26 something, which would be $18 after the 30% off). The Xbox version was $4.99, although that was with a `frontlane' UPC sticker.

Nope. They did have a few of the animated Clone Wars figures, Anakin and Roron Corobb and a few McQuaries. I also managed to run across an Animated Debut Boba Fett .

Got Gun for $7, Star Trek Legacy for $7 and Kameo for $5, all for 360. They had 50 or so Gamecube games super cheap too.

The store itself is disoganized and dirty. It looks like it was last renovated in the 70s.
 
Cabela's African Safari and Rapala Fishing for 360 are now at $18, but might be worth it when they drop low enough.

If anyone can get an extra Over G Fighters or World Poker: All In for 360, please let me know.
