Liriano has been a top prospect for a while, and he was rated like a 50 something in the game and never got better. Also, there is no way Cliff Floyd should be rated higher than Scott Rolen like he was last yr. This is not even me being a Cardinals homer, in no way should Mark Mulder had been a 94 like he was in the game last yr. I'm just saying whoever does the ratings for this game must be high on something other than life.
lirano was 1 - 2 with a 5.7 something era the year before, he started out in limited appearance in the bullpen for well over a month...i follow baseball fairly closely...occasionally watch espn...read the boston globe and herald baseball sections, and several times a day check espn's website...I don't remembering hearing his name untill around june of last year...he might have been a high prospect, but the national coverage on him was slim considering other young pitchers...he had pitched in the bullpen untill may 19th last year...he was in mostly blowouts untill 4/25 last year...
floyd in 05 hit 34 homers, 98rbis and hit roughly .273...
also the 2005 stats on mulder was 16 - 8 with a 3.64 era...that is solid numbers...
scott rolen in 2005 had a very very off year...only 56 games a .235 batting avg 5 homers, 25 rbis
yes i know it sucks..the year before youkillis sucked on the sox, and last year pablebon sucked and made it impossible for him to be the closer in online games..
.but unless they do monthly updates, it has been the same for every baseball game for a long time....they go off of the year before stats and don't really change it much...
