That sucks. It was his fault though, he led with the top of his helmet. Hopefully, he heals quickly and is ready for next year. I like the way he flies around the field and hopefully this won't change that.
From looking at the video and reading the AP wire, he hit him with his shoulder.
Pollack out for the year with a broken neck. That really sucks. That's my boy right there. Gonna wear his jersey tomorrow in his honor. I figured this was his breakout year, too.

Crap.

I watched the replay several times and it sure looked like he hit him with the top of his head to me. It jammed his head directly down his spinal column. It was extremely painful looking and it's amazing that he wasn't paralyzed.
I think he gets a pass. He's had some of the best celebrations ever. This one was more of a homecrowd Cincinnati thing with Oktoberfest. And he celebrated hurt, it takes dedication to celebrate hurt. :)
C'mon defensive struggle!!! I lead my opponent by 9 points, and I have Pitt defense, and he has Ward & Parker. He has Peyton Manning, but I neutralized him with Ryan Longwell. Boo Jacksonville scoring points. Hooray Kickers!

I need Pittsburgh's defense to score 2 or 3 touchdowns (for my fantasy team), but still lose the game (for AFC north reasons).
Avoid the game at all costs..I mean these are easily the 2 worst offenses in the league, so you'd be better off talking to the hot dog or beer vendors about world politics.

On better news for my 49ers, The Freak is done for the year, I like Kearse, but this helps seeing as how Kwame Harris sucks balls.
can't be any worse than watching a 49ers game from the last 4 years
Looks like the Jags are playing Indy for the early divison lead on Sunday. Should be a good game.
agreed...it will be a game to watch because manning could exact revenge on t he team that gave the colts their first loss of the season.

Not quite true. Jacksonville lost to the Colts the week before the Chargers handed the Colts their first of 3 losses in 4 games (2 regular and 1 post season loss, and they barely squeaked by Arizona to end the year)
that hit had nothing on chad's hit. The hit on Chad was brutal.
u should had saw what ed reed did to alvis whitted of the raiders this past sunday.

Billy Volek is officially a Charger

Damnit, why couldn't the Bucs go after him. Atleast it would've given them a solid backup option and a good starter when Gruden finally benches Simms.

Are there any decent vets on the block that the Bucs could go after?

I never thought I'd say this, but they should have kept Griese (and Brad Johnson before that).
Tim Rattay ain't doin the job?
i guess not if they arent going to him. IMO for the Bucs freefall lies in the O line. They are giving absolutley no protection for Cadillac and Simms. Galloway had 165 yards recieving so simms cant be at fault....by the way what happend to mike alstott? i havent heard his name since last year.

I believe that Alstott retired after last year, or the year before.

And Rittay was only brought in as a 3rd stringer when Griese went down.

Damn, then the Bucs have a ghost in their lineup, as I saw him catch a pass in Sunday's game.

Shit, I thought I read somewhere that he retired.
Oh yeah...

Dear Kellen:

SHUT THE fuck UP.

Sincerely,

Kellen just doesn't get it. Why is it all these receivers are the Divas of the league?

im just wondering what Winslow said to spark the hate. I dont like him at all. im a Miami fan and still hated him for his bonehead remarks. i hope ray lewis knocks him off his socks.

Here are the lines...

9/24 1:00 ET @ Buffalo [-6] NY Jets
9/24 1:00 ET @ Pittsburgh [-2] Cincinnati
9/24 1:00 ET @ Indianapolis [-7] Jacksonville
9/24 1:00 ET @ Miami [-11] Tennessee
9/24 1:00 ET Washington [-4] @ Houston
9/24 1:00 ET Chicago [-3.5] @ Minnesota
9/24 1:00 ET Carolina [-3] @ Tampa Bay
9/24 1:00 ET @ Detroit [-6.5] Green Bay
9/24 4:05 ET Baltimore [-6.5] @ Cleveland
9/24 4:15 ET @ Arizona [-4.5] St. Louis
9/24 4:15 ET @ Seattle [-3.5] NY Giants
9/24 4:15 ET Philadelphia [-6] @ San Francisco
9/24 8:15 ET @ New England [-6.5] Denver
9/25 8:30 ET Atlanta [-4] @ New Orleans

I can't believe the Miami spread considering they are winless. The Philly game seems a bit high too since they are away. I think the 49ers can win that game. Jacksonville is also a 7 point underdog - I know it's the Colts but they just beat down the Steelers in Pittsburgh... I don't know...
Wow, I thought Detroit/Green Bay would've been a pick-em. 6.5...WOW.
Yeah, me too.. what are they judging it on? How bad the bears beat both their asses? What detroit's ass beating wasn't as bad?

Man, my fantasy teams have been disappointing. My teams are 0-2, 0-2, and 1-1 after seeing a few guys on each team give me zeroes when I needed the points.

I've got an offer of Amani Toomer for my Brian Westbrook on my team.

I managed to pick up Reggie Williams for two of my teams to fill a hole for the week, and I even got Matt Jones, but I may not play him since he's questionable right now.
fuck yeah! they are showing the niner game down here this week.
Yeah it's being televised on Fox, huge game, I really hope the 49ers win this one, I think we have a chance, but I can see McNabb wanting to end it early, if we can score big in the beggining and let Gore run it out, will be fine.

Oh wait, the 49ers do have to play defense right? shit...

I think it will be a good game. Bought some hamburgers and bunch of other stuff for the game. This might be the only one so I gotta make it count.
And still behind on the scoreboard. . .;)
You can scratch that! First they drive the Caddy then Simms goes all Helicopter. Is this the first lead of the season for the Bucs?
fuck.

As soon as I post that, Carolina turns it over (again) and Tampa is about to score (again). How's that for karma?
I know! I was waiting for the Bucs to score before I replied back to that. I had Alstott in the reply but a nice gutsy play on 4th & 1 by Gruden. This is turning out to be a great game.
