fucking Cincinnati man, the steeler have shut your running game down. But yet you continue to try to run the fucking ball. I don't like Cincinnati but their the hometown team so I have to like them sorta.

Man, my Jags are looking like they are going to lose to Indy but at least they have put up a good fight. I see them getting an AFC wild card again. :D

Carolina is lucky to win the game. Kasey is just a ridiculous kicker and always kills the Bucs. I'm disappointed we lost this game, but I'm happy the defense played well and the offense showed some life. It's still going to be a long season because Tampa has one of the toughest schedules in the league, but I'm happy with the effort and can't wait till we get some guys healthy.

Is there something about the four sacks Palmer had in the second half that makes you think they should emphasize their passing game?

I've got tunnel vision as a football watcher. I am a Bengals fan, and I strictly watch them; nevertheless, they looked awful today on all fronts, and won purely by luck (and Houshmandzadeh!). Their running game wasn't good, but their passing game wasn't much better.
I don't like Cincinnati
We don't like you either. Stay home in your shithole suburb "city." ;)

Sad day for Bucs/Jags fans.

Even though the Bucs/Simms showed some life today, I'm still keeping my custom user title the way it is.

And I don't disagree with you one bit. The bye week and then the Saints can't come soon enough. At least hopefully the Bucs will be able to get some guys back from injury like Kelly and Joseph and work on trying to run/ stop the run.

I live in Dayton remember? I have to like them even though I don't have a favorite football team at all. I just watch and really don't root for anyone. If I'm forced to pick a team I would have to say the Chiefs.

But I was watching the first half of the game off my Tivo when I posted the running game comment. I had yet to see the 2nd half. Now that I think about it I shouldn't off posted at all until I watched the game. However I agree with you they did blow and win on luck today. I think the Bengals are still sore from the battle of Ohio game. That was a rough game.

That's why I put "city" in quotes. ;)

Their offensive blockers were just hands down ***AWFUL*** today, and they looked somewhat weak stopping running plays as well. You're right, that Browns game too out a lot of dudes (esp. Pollack) who would have been crucial additions today.
I have officially turned off the 49ers/Eagles game, this game makes me sick.
fucken gore and his fumbles. I know they were down 24-3 but that fumble recoved for a TD killed any chance of comming back. But I loved it how robinson ran over dawkins in the next possesion for the TD.

I can see the team going the way of NYG like Jacobs at goal-line, while we put in Michael Robinson at goal-line.

Some observations:

The Defense Blows

Alex Smith played well, avoiding the rush, but he overthrew some passes.

Vernon Davis needs to cut that shit out with the whole "one handed grab" catch, you have two hands use em'.

Gore's fumble wasn't necessarily his fault, the helmet hit it, but what do you do?

Larry Allen must come back ASAP.

Next week KC Chiefs, who I think we can beat.

if he had held the ball with both hands he could have avoided the fumble. Its a goal line cituation, just hold the ball and power your way in.
Looks like those of you that wanted Simms out earlier got their wish, though maybe not this way. His spleen ruptured, which had to be removed, and he'll be out for about 2-3 months or so.

Ouch. I actually don't want him out (their back-ups are terrible) and especially not that way.

Trade for a vet ASAP! Send a draft pick to the 49ers and bring back a true Buccaneer hero, Trent Dilfer.

The Lions got over a big hurdle today. Losing to the Pack proved to be a tough loss, but they came through in the end. It was really close. Green tried to give them a win, but my Lions brought out a not so secret weapon, poor clock management. Thank goodness! My dream of 0-16 is still alive.

I think the Giants' receivers need some double sided tape on their hands so they can actual catch the ball in the next game. Or possibly some of that sticky stuff that they put in the black kid's hands in Little Giants.
Anyone know why Plax was out the entire fourth quarter? I missed most of the game!
He had 2 fumbles IIRC and coach benched him. I can understand doing that with a rookie, but not a vet.

That and he caused one interception and had another pass to him get intercepted, as well. It wasn't a pretty game for him at all.

I get the feeling that most of the players are going to quit on Tom Coughlin. He seems like a legitimate ass.

this should atleast get him more focused for the next game...although didnt he have an injury prior to this week....which made him miss a couple of practices? i think his back is more sore than they think it is. he wasnt the same Plex today at all....

The Detroit Lions are on the clock.
The first pick in the NFL draft goes to the Detroit Lions. Yep, we lost to Green Bay....just horrible. Hmmm, who should we pick....NOT Brady Quinn ;)

What a mess of a game....they didn't even play horribly...missed a few passes, the INT killed them, but that was it. The defense sucked....GB converted like 10 3rd downs.....a MESS in Lions town.

They just need to get rid of Matt Millen. I can't believe they were actually interested in Jerry Porter from Oakland. Like they need another prima donna WR.

Yeah, he's here for what 4.5 more years....just pay him and let him go. Believe me, the fans in Detroit ALL think the same.

At least Kitna seems to be playing well (judging from highlights and box scores, I've yet to watch a Detroit game). It's good to see him get another starting job even if it's for a team that's going nowhere.

actually it might go to the texans with their 500 fuckin yards allowed avg/game on defense. this team is atrocious and not even competitive at all. thanks a lot fucking dom capers and charley casserly.

Imagine how bad they'd be without Mario Williams. They'd probably be giving up at least 525 yards per game.

I wa sin their press box and their media was lambasting the team while the redskins media was laughing their ass off

Of all footballl presentations I like ESPN's the best. Its simple and clean but their audio kinds sucks IMO.

I can't remeber the old timers name, but god I love him.

"If there was no foul then why was a flag thrown?"

...

...

"Uh joe thats a very zen like question I don't think we can answer"

Also could ESPN remind us anymore that Hurricane Katrina happened "13 months ago" "That 1800 people died"

They keep reminding people, so people will donate money/goods/clothing to charities, they still need more help and kudos to ESPN for doing all they can.

The told timer is Tony Kornheiser, also the co-host of PTI.

I also think that ESPN used the whole Katrina thing way too much. Don't get me wrong, it was truly devastating and it is great that New Orleans is slowly rebounding, but we're watching a football game, not a documentary.

I'm so disappointed in the Falcons. The first 2 weeks they did great and then they look like a bunch of chumps tonight.

Also, this is the first game I've seen Reggie Bush play and I can't help but wonder what could have happened for Houston if they had taken him instead...

Whoa, on Mike and Mike in the Morning they are saying that its possible Terrell Owens tried to commit suicide yesterday by ingesting a large amount of painkillers according to a Dallas police report. However, on Yahoo they are just saying there was an "allergic reaction". We'll have to see what truth is out there.

I gotta believe that's serious bullshit. He's got a whole ton to live for.

Yeah, but that can be said about a lot of people that attempt suicide. The guy is an ass, but if this is true I don't want to see him go out like that. He needs help.

Here's one link so far....

Oh, I've seen the report. I want to hear from the police if this is the case, though.

My other question would be, was there alcohol involved?
