I'd rather root for shitty teams than be one of those guys who jumps on the bandwagon every year. But I am currently rooting for some shitty teams.

Sorry dude. The Jags had a bad call go against them in the game.
Where is his protection?
In aisle one at the local drug store?

All kidding aside, he is getting anihilated out there.

They shoulda put in the back-up (Seneca Wallace I think) at the beginning of the fourth quarter. It would be a shame if Hasselbeck got injured.

forgot something..... FTW Nice to see the Texans fans have already given up on the season and are taking solace in stats

well of course the texans AREN'T giving up the season. theres a lot to play for especially improvement to all areas of the team. I just stating stat lines for mario williams and reggie bush. hey espn made some big deal about that. of course, stats are misleading (look at david carr's qb rating and amt of fumbles he has already this year). i can talk about a lot about football to anyone and usually back it up. the texans being bad is true but its getting better (maybe playoffs in 2 more years). for the record, mario made some good plays today and bush did not today.

yeah stats are played way to much in the game and judgement of a player. mario's position needs much more than pass rush and rush defense. he might have to create a hole for a another rusher so he will have to take out blockers...i think Mario was the right pick for them. they needed to shore up a need area and they did it. anyway they had Davis at the time so there was no need for bush. anyway give him sometime and give him some help...wililams will become a great dlineman. thats what the other recent star rookies had and they had great success.

I still think the Texans are kicking themselves. I know Reggie Bush just offers a different dynamic to the team. Teams seem to over-pursue him at times, making the other players better. I'm sure Mario may turn out as a decent player

Anyways....the Lions are officially pissing me off. What a horrible letdown once again. 41 points we give up....at least they are scoring now too. KJ almost has 100 yards ;)

Also, way to throw it OUT OF THE ENDZONE on the final play Kitna....at least give your player a chance.

i think its too early to judge any of the rooks. i think this discussion should rise at the end of teh season to see where both are at. then we can make the argument of who was a better pick. i just think the texans pick was justified. they drafted need and not by best player.

I think the Texans are more than 2 years away from the playoffs. The Jags and Bengals are both pretty young teams that are going to take the wildcard spots, unless Cincy wins their division. Then throw in the Ravens, Chiefs, and Jets and its even harder to think the Texans have a shot in 2 years.

well any team can be crap one year and great the next year and vice versa. i'm not saying the texans will but anything is possible in nfl more than other sport imo.

This is probably the greatest Niner moment that I've experienced (not counting superbowl XXIX).

quick set up.

The packers have knocked the Niners out of the playoff the previous 3 season, all at lambeau. This year the game was at Candlestick Park. The packers scored on the previous drive and now the niners are down 23 - 27 with 1:47 left in the game. TO has been dropping passes left and right, but with 8 seconds left and on the packers 25 yard line, TO makes the greatest catch of his career.

I was 7, just becoming a 49ers fan, on my way back from a family vacation to Mexico, the pilot kept updating us, then said "Folks, you won't believe it, but a reciever by the names of Terrell Owens caught a TD, for a 49ers victory". Needless to say, everyone cheered but was followed by funny enough "Who is Terrell Owens?"

Still to this day, I say if Hearst didn't blow his leg out in Atlanta we would've won the SuperBowl.

If the Raiders beat the 49ers next week, I retire from watching them.

I was 13. Watching it in the living room with my brothers and my dad. Here is the last drive, you should watch it.

Niners will not lose to the raiders. Right now they are favored by 3.5. I need to call some of my raider fan buddies and see if I can get a bet for the game. And they will be showing the game down here but on CBS.

As long as the 49ers don't have to play defense, I think we'll win.

Gradkowski with the nice TD pass. Looks pretty comfotable in the offense, too bad the defense is getting gashed by the Saints run. Bruce for Rookie of the Year!

Damn the Colts (personally I want them to lose; financially I want them to win) can't get anything done today. Atleast give me a special teams TD or something.

And if the Bucs could stop the run, their season might have a prayer. Time to just throw away the season and enter into the Ted Ginn Jr sweepstakes.

The one good thing is that the football pool I am in had everyone pick the Colts so at least I won't be any worse off than anyone else.

Thought i'd correct that for ya. ;)

Anyone that would help the WR position, especially that early in the draft. Then they should shore up D in the rest of the draft along with some O-Line help.

Actually, I don't think they need another reciever. Galloway is already explosive enough, especially today, and Clayton is a nice posession reciever. They need to start rebuilding the defense. Trueblood looks promising and when Joseph gets back that side of the line should continue to improve. They're already running well for the first time all season. But after looking at the rest of their schedule this is going to be a tough season for the Bucs.

How much longer is Galloway under contract? He is getting up there in age as well. What a better way to replace him, but with another stud WR out of college.

Yeah, the D is definitely in the rebuilding stage.

And looking at their schedule, the Bucs may be lucky to win 3 games this year.

Kitna you fucking moron... although... probably a better chance for the Lions to score a TD, recover the onside kick and score again, than to win if Minnesota sits on the ball. Hmm, maybe he's really a fucking genious!

Galloway is only getting better with age, and he's a perfect fit for Gruden's offense, but you might be right about picking up some great reciever out of college if he fits as nicely as Joey. If not then pay the fat signing bonus and contract from your first rounder to a proven reciever. He signed a contract in 2005 but the terms weren't disclosed. Bucs lose another close game when entering the lead in the final quarter.

Damnit CBS, why not get yourself some ratings and show a doubleheader today. Jets/Jags or Cards/Chiefs would be fine.

Nothing against the 9ers/Raiders, but thats probably the shittiest game of the day.
They played the Cleveland Browns. At Home :applause:
A win is a win.

That, and I now advance in CAG's suicide pool since they won.

I'm just messing with you. Plus, I'm a little envious since my Bucs are suffering and should've beaten the Panthers and Saints. ;) Congrats on the suicide pool and win. I'm actually looking at our first possible win to be against Cleveland in Week 16.

I say if we don't have a win by then, just pack it in and get the 1st pick in the draft. Tennessee and Detriot will probably manage to pick up a win some time soon, especially since Tennessee plays Houston.
