If the running game both on the offensive and defensive side for Indy isn't cleared up, they're in for a long season. Manning gets an even larger load on his shoulder. Though I like the way Addai finishes off his runs better than Rhodes.

I'm kinda hoping Eli leads the Giants down on their last drive coming up. It'd make for one hell of a game.

Well, that was a dull way to end the game.
yeah agreed..the penalty for the illeagal snap was quite harsh. i think 17 seconds is enough time for atleast 3 plays then it gets cut to one. trurly a dissappointing to a sloppy yet intense game.

im still flaming that the bills lost because of a safety....thats an even a worse way to lose.

Very exciting week. The hawks almost get beat by detroit. The pats sneak by. And the Manning Bowl was an exciting game all the way through.

Detroit still cannot score....looks like the same thing for us fans. Already got booed int he first game. Kitna played average at best....no INT's, but no TD's. The one play they needed to convert on 3rd down and him and Bryson are on the totally wrong page. WTF?

The defense plays STELLAR. Alexander gets 51yds only and they hold them to NO TD's, yet lose. What a mess.
Jacksonville looked pretty good. All they need is a top-level WR and they're golden.
matt jones will be the golden one...did you see the catches he made...he is gonna be one sick reciever.

I can't believe Seattle got Branch for a DP. I love Brady, but isn't his top returning receiver Ben Watson? 'You aren't going to win a conference title that way' - submitted by Michael Vick

Chad jackson our 2nd round draft pick and Doug Gabriel will fill in on ok once they return. Branch was in jury prone last year was one of his few years he stayed on the field all year

The Giants got robbed on that pass interference call. They should have won that game and if they make any one of the three gift wrapped INTs or if Feely hit that 39 yard FG I think the outcome would have been different. The stupid penalties didn't help either. What a wasted opportunity. That said, I think the Giants looked really good for the most part (minus the penalties). Tiki is awesome as always and Jacobs is a MONSTER. He looks like he's in unbelievable shape this year.

PS - The Colts are totally one-dimensional and are going to have a tough time this season. Manning will get them to the playoffs but they will get beat by any team that just tries stopping the pass because the Colts running game isn't a threat.
Yeah, that Bryant call was b.s., because it was more pointing at him, because Green threw him down out of bounds. But, bitching at the refs gets absolutely nowhere.

If you need a good re-cap of the game DT here it is:

Smith played amazing

Gore is the future

Vernon Davis played ok, he caught the one TD which was nice, the fumble wasn't his fault really, he was trying to make something out of nothing, but did drop a huge 1st down catch in the endzone.

Bryant was non-existent for the first half but got his shit together late.

Our secondary blows, but we were facing Fitz and Boldin.

Sammy Davis dropped an INT which was thrown to him.

Gore fumbled.

Arnaz Battle had a huge return.

All, in all i'd give the game a 7/10 for us, some improvement on D needs to be made.
All of your points need to have one HUGE big asterisk:

They were playing the Cardinals. My two six month olds could score 12 points against that thing they called a defense yesterday.

So, are they really good at place kicking or really horrible at it? If it's the latter, maybe they should just go for 2 everytime.

Their CB's are very good, Wilson & Rolle. Carlos Dansby is very good, wouldn't say they have a great D but it's not a horrible one. You could say the same about the Cards, the 49ers D is horrible, I mean worse than any defense in the league times by at least 20.

I was on the phone with my brother pretty much the whole fourth quarter and he was also telling me how good gore was playing. And what the situation with the niners? Do they still have salary cap issues? Why cant they throw some money for some defensive talent?
That 81 jersey was getting to him. He was being an asshole and taunting the CB covering him after the play was over. He absolutely deserved the call.
all he did was point at him. you're fucking trippin.
All of your points need to have one HUGE big asterisk:

Niners are supposidly (fuck spelling) the worst team so nobody should have any trouble with them. You just got to admit they played better then you expected.

Nolan's idea is to build the way the Pats and Eagles do, through the draft, and were under the cap I believe by 20 million. The next draft supposedly if we finish in the top 5, will draft Johnson or Ginn Jr.

And I saw Bryant pointing at Green looking for a call.

Larry Allen is out for Week 2. Ouch.

They'll be a wildcard team, that's Jacksonville's division now.
damn, 2 weeks.

who is johnson and ginn jr?
Calvin Johnson from G.Tech and Teddy Ginn Jr. from OSU.
They'll be a wildcard team, that's Jacksonville's division now.
I'll believe that when they beat a good quarterback.
Does James Thrash just play for either the Redskins or Eagles every year?

It sure seems like it.

Maybe my Skins will get a win next week.

yeah i hope....i have portis and moss so in one my leagues so i hope they bust out next week.

So, how long does John Hall have as the 'Skins kicker? I love how the announcers say he has a week leg. Then, he blows the 48 yard fieldgoal. He looked shaky even on some of the other kicks too. I know the Lions had a really good PK in training camp, but no one is taking over for Hanson...yet.
I can't believe the Pats traded Branch...WTF!
1st round draft pick or someone who will sit out....1st rounder or no player at all.....FIRST ROUNDER or nothing. Hmmmm, seems like an easy choice to me.

Charles Rogers is still available if the Pats need a receiver ;)

yeah agreed...bellicheck always drafts good anyway and branch is injury prone so it doesnt look like that big of a loss..and besides once brady starts getting used to gabriel and chad jackson...they will be the new givens and branch.
*points to sig and avatar*

O yeaaa!
Now don't book tickets to the super bowl just yet the Raiders just might be the league's worst team
Now don't book tickets to the super bowl just yet the Raiders just might be the league's worst team
it's a toss up between them and the packers.
it's a toss up between them and the packers.
I think the Raiders are much worse because they have pro bowlers on that team. The Packers have Favre and Hawk...and they are going to win more games.

Well, the Lions signed Az Hakim yesterday....why, not sure. I guess this just makes Mike Williams the NEXT Charles Rogers. No playing time for BMW yet...inactive just like Jerry Porter. I don't get it...play him, he big, he can score TD's. I think Mike Martz just LOVES former players though. Except they did cut Arlen Harris....

I was going to put this in the Youtube thread but I think football fans only will get a chuckle out of this...

Listen at the end. It isn't PC, but it is funny that it was actually said outloud.

You guys should have seen the hit just now in the Ravens/Raiders game. Alvis Whitted for the Raiders got LIT UP. He tried to make a catch over the middle an got his helmet knocked clean off.

Man, the Colts need to really light up Carr, so the Texans stop scoring. Atleast I get points for the turnovers, win, and sack in my money league. I thought for sure it'd be a

Hopin the eagles pull this out.

After a couple years of watching Eli Manning he has a HUGE hole in his game.

Next time you watch him play, pay attention to his accuracy when he's flushed to the left or the right.

When he drops back he is a good passer. But his accuracy drops precipitiously when he has to move to his left and right. And I know it's harder tpo throw on the run. But he can barely throw at all. What's the point of mobility if you can't get the pass off.

Untill he overcomes that he'll be nothing but mediocre.

only because he left some of his straps unbuckled. That was a great game. I love watching the Raiders get fucked up.

That's it!

I am sick of these motherfucking Giants tying those motherfucking Eagles!

Chris Gamble is the biggest fucking idiot I've ever seen on a football field.

Carolina had the game won, but no, that fucking retarded jack-ass decided to get creative.

Wonder how it compares the the last hit Chad Johnson took today. Egads!

"watching" the game from the games states on NFL.com fucken sucks. Right now they have the score 5-3 (rams-niners) but my brother says its still 3-3.

edit: fixed now. Mother fuckers need to stop playing with my emotions.
