Speedrunners is on sale on Steam today. This game pretty much looks hilarious with 4 people. Anybody interested in a $2.50 buy in on a 4 pack?

Yeah, it's been a pretty popular group game on Youtube. And a lot of people say it's like Mario Kart, but on foot. You get missiles and other powerups to screw each other over, and the screen gets smaller and smaller as the race goes on. Not really a game with depth or anything. But easy to jump in and laugh your ass off for an hour or two.

Okay, cool. I was hoping we could get a group together or something. I haven't really played much since the game took forever to install and I could only test out the character types while that was going on.

I have all next week free to play. Somehow my company considers Halloween a holiday and we get the week off with pay. Not going to argue with that one lol.

Left over Best Buy credit actually. Flipped a couple games last week from it though.
Ah, so regular price but with credit. I was going to say, you have some generous ass people near you on Craigslist, lol. I feel like I live in a decently large area, and the only Alien Isolations I could find was one on PS3 somebody wanted $40 for and one on PS4 that the guy was asking $55 (lol) for. And no Horizon 2's at all.

Anyone wanna split a Don't Starve plus the Reign of Giants DLC two-pack on Steam? Going for 11.39, works out to about 5.70 a person. Sale ends in about 14 hours, so if I don't hear from anyone in the morning, I'm gonna get it on my own.

Ugh, if it's a Deadliest Warrior game, I would say save your money. I think MAYBE the first one was mediocre, the rest are all pure shit.
This one actually started just as a Medieval Warfare online multiplayer game, and then they got the Deadliest Warrior license for DLC to add the different classes of warriors. The game itself is supposed to be really fun...but yeah, it's online only. It's basically Titanfall but with Spartans, Knights, Samurai, Ninjas, Pirates, and Vikings, haha.

Wow, yeah, adding "Deadliest Warrior" kinda does it a disservice; I thought it was one of those fighting games until I watched the video, but it's really the Chivalry game with warriors from other time periods. And asshole pirates.

I'll have to pass on Don't Starve... something about the art style turns me off of it for some reason.

Yeah, I played it for a little bit last night. There were a lot of team deathmatch servers going on. There's also a duel, last man standing, and free for all modes. But most of those servers were empty. Team deathmatch is interesting because your "teams" are literally whatever type of warrior you choose.

I tried out the Viking and promptly got my ass handed to me over and over again by this Spartan guy. He definitely seemed to know what he was doing as he just kept circling me and attacking so fast it felt like I could hardly ever square him up. Seems like a decent game to play every now and then for some hack and slash "Warrior MMA", lol.

Apparently, "something big" is happening in NHL 15 sometime today.

Most are hoping it's the OTP patch...but it could be something as lame as adding legend players to HUT.

Not sure if it's just not displaying right or CAG 3.0 is being weird about having multiple tweets in one post. But here's the other one from someone on the NHL dev team.

Wow, what an announcement . The Hockey Fights Cancer cards and 4 milestone cards were released today.
Wow...if that's really all it is, then those guys are fucking assholes for screwing with people and tweeting something like that. I mean, don't even pretend that you respect your customers at all. What a couple of pieces of shit.

The fact that someone on their team considers more HUT cards the greatest day in EA NHL history is mind boggling.

I'd even go as far as saying that if we had to make a list of the greatest news/announcements, NHL 94 Anniversary mode would be higher on the list than new cards. Wavy jerseys would also probably be higher.

They were added Friday cause I remember browsing the Auction for them all weekend. They seem have said that it will be announced tomorrow morning

Also, I have had good luck with HUT, but it's a 50 50 shot hobeetly.

That's what makes it almost read like sarcasm to me. How in the hell do you type something like that and not realize you're leading people on? Especially considering what else is supposed to be coming sometime this month...it's like they were intentionally being assholes.

Apparently, they've tweeted since then that "the day is not over yet". But to me, it's still messed up to screw with people like that. They were already on thin ice with the fan base as it is. No tact whatsoever.

Yeah, it was actually a jumbo player pack. 125,000 coins for 24 rare player cards. But still...HUT related...and I'd hardly call that a "huge announcement". They do promo packs all the damn time.

Even big time HUT people are mad because this is going to reduce the value of the star players. So, the cards they had won't be worth as much anymore. Essentially, they're flooding the market.

Wait...maybe there were more HFC cards added too. At least that's what this tweet indicates.

Unless that was just regularly scheduled stuff and not part of "the announcement". Pretty bad when you can't tell what should be a big deal, lol. Either way...HUT stuff...that they do all the time.

LMAO...what a retard. I looked at that game several times because at one point it was supposed to get Rift compatibility. But the art style was just too much for me. It made me nauseous without even looking at it in the Rift, haha.

That's some ridiculous stuff though. Like my first two guesses would be roid rage or that his account got hacked. I can understand being irritated...but at the end of the day, it's basically a typo. He was threatening to murder someone over a typo, lol. You'd think they were accidentally giving the game away for free or something.

Also, here's an interesting article on all the shit that is broken with HUT in NHL 15. Not sure how both Gary and Rob managed to avoid all this stuff. I must just be EA's favorite. :-({|=

I also haven't ran into any of the issues you've mentioned so far. I have however been fucked in the league title game three times now.
The first time I was up 4-1 late in the second (needed the 2 pts for the title and it was the 10th game), then EA server disconnect.
Second time I needed 1 point. It was tied 1 to 1 and I was just trying to play conservative to ensure OT. With a minute left I'm killing a 5 Min major that my AI got. I poke the passing lane from a Dmen's pass to the net... Instead Bergeron hit the puck down and it slowly went through Rasks 5 - hole.
The last one was yesterday guy only could score on cross crease passes. In OT he throws a pass through my guy while doing the knee to block it.

I feel like the ice tilt this year is the worst it has been. Every game feels different than the last. I have Rask boosted to 99 in everythjng except high which is 98.one game he'll allow 1 goal on 20 shots and the next he'll give up 5 on 10 shots.

This post/pic combo is just too good

Yeah so OTP is there. It's about what you expect, though on the main screen, they do track your goals-assists-points totals in OTP play, which is nice.

It seems like getting all 5 people into the same game at once would be extremely unlikely. Like you'd get 2-3 into the same game, rinse, repeat. Also, it's EA Sports, and I'm a pessimist.

I love hitting my team mates when they refuse to pass or just bang the stick non stop. It's so chaotic it's fun.
lol...Gary, you may have just discovered our new "favorite thing about the game". It's always the unintentional stuff that EA doesn't plan for that is the most enjoyable thing.

NHL 09/10 (can't remember when this was) - poke checking your own goalie to trick the other team into doing it, giving them a roughing penalty

NHL 11 - Running yourself into the boards and getting injured

NHL 12 - Skull fucking the goalie

NHL 13 - Hercules Check

NHL 14 - Kneeling and getting somebody to go flying over you

NHL 15 - Checking your own teammates just to be a dick

But I agree, using the random method to play with friends is likely to be an exercise in frustration. 2 people shouldn't be too bad. 3 might even be reasonable if you time it right. 4-5 would take some pretty impressive luck...like one of those situations when you're the first person in the room. Even then it's going to depend on how quickly they fill up. I would imagine it's going to be pure chaos on there for a good while though.

Having said that, my wife is actually taking tomorrow off, which means I can play late tonight if Gary and/or Rob are on and/or Brandon and/or Matt go buy NHL 15 and/or Alan buys an Xbox One and NHL 15. So, I'd be up for giving it a test run. I should be on around 10:15PM ET. :)
