Now for some N-Gage luv. After lowering prices on new games last week (as per Nokia's new pricing strategies), EB has finally adjusted some (but not all) of their used prices.

Colin Mcrae Rally 2005 ($13.50 AC):
http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/245636.asp

Pathway to Glory ($15 AC):
http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/241754.asp

Call of Duty ($15 AC):
http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/244381.asp

All good games, and the cheapest they've ever been. Just ordered Rally myself.

Now if they could just get around to adjusting the used prices on King of Fighters Extreme, Requiem of Hell, Elder Scrolls, and Asphalt GT, all of which are still higher for used than new at this point.

-DM

Edit: FWIW, I should mention that though EB makes no claims about used N-Gage games having the original case and manual, I've ordered two N-Gage games from them so far, and they've come complete both times.

I got in my Space Channel 5 SE, and Mad Maestro today and I am extremely surprised by what superb condition they were in. There's one small sticker over the upc, but that's it. Usually I'd get a sticker covered mess with stickers in the book on the front in layers, etc. The discs are extremely mint... thank you EB for finally giving me a nice mint used copy.

No surprise there. The majority (99.9% ?)of their Mad Maestro's were probably brand new when traded in, thanks to TRU, lol.

I still have like 4 sealed in a stack of games for trade in stuffs. I sent a few off to others and ofcourse kept one for the collection.
got one! I've looked for this game (at EB) for 3 months!

there were 2 in stock . . . who got the other?

$6 after coupon makes it almost equal to 1 JamPack that I traded in
That would be me. Interesting looking game, and 6 bucks to try an Atlus game is a steal.

Picked up a copy of Victorious Boxers. Thanks CougRageous.
Excellent excellent game.
Agreed. As is SkyGunner.

Picked up Mr. Mosquito. I didn't realize I couldn't combine my Resrvation Rewards $10 off with CAG15 and SAVER, but oh well. Still only $5.37 total. I'm sure I'll get $5 entertainment out of it.
Anyone know what this is?

"$9.99 PO-T/M AND T/M BLACK O/L PS"

Maybe someone would like to take a chance and order it and see? :D
Its Twisted Metal Black, and Twisted Metal Black Online for PS2.

They came on separate discs since the Online part was released later, for free from Sony through the mail. I don't think they don't offer it anymore though.

The Greatest Hits version of Twisted Metal Black includes Twisted Metal Black Online on a second disk.

Not much tonight, although for the last couple days they've gotten used n64's in stock and I've noticed they literally sell out in minutes. Any big reason for this? Have N64's suddenly become the system to have?

my virtual-on marz came perfect....i dont think it was ever even played

my fighter maker 2 and grandia xtreme on the other hand....they look like they've been spread with jelly and put in a toaster...'til i cleaned them off

Am I the only person that they send regular DVD style cases too and not the official playstation 2 style cases? Their website clearly states ps2 games come with original packaging and the crappy dvd style case ain't original packaging.

Normally it isn't a huge deal, but I've exhausted my limited supply of extra cases replacing all the crap they send me.

I'm currently involved in a struggle to try and get them to send me a real playstation 2 case since they shipped my klonoa 2 in a crappy dvd style not the ps2 case. I've sent them 3 e-mails, the first response they tried to tell me that they didn't have any extra cases and even if they did they wouldn't send me one, then I tried explaining that the crappy cases they keep sending me aren't the original packaging as guaranteed on their website. Their response to that was an e-mail with their return policy which helps not at all. I sent them a 3rd email trying again but I have a feeling I'm probably going to have to call their "customer service" and raise holy hell just to get them to send me a fucking 50cent plastic case. I've spent literally hundreds of dollars on used games from them over the last few months and for some reason they are dead set against sending me a case.

I just don't get it. Yet somehow they win an award here for best customer service

jimbodan, why don't you just call customer service and speak to a manager about it? I highly doubt you're going to have any success trying to relate your situation via email; they need to hear how upset you really are. ;)

As for the demand for the N64, that surprised me a bit myself. Though I would guess that because some EB's simply don't carry them anymore (none in my area do), people are trying to purchase it online. And believe it or not, I have been looking for one myself. :)

They only mean original case insert and manual by packaging. They use regular dvd cases to replace broken game cases, happens just about everywhere. I don't think you're going to get very far with this. I know the original PS2 case is kind of a big deal to people here, but to them, you're just being super picky.

Fortunately, my brother has games like Super Trucks Racing that I can switch cases with.

yeah that's the next step. I just really really really ( I can't stress how much) hate calling these places up and dealing with customer service. I'd much rather just write an e-mail explain things and get the situation fixed.

And what is up with that? Who are the idiots who shit all over their games? Are these 3 year olds or something? Considering how much these damn things cost u would think people would treat them with more respect -- $39 and $49 is a hell-of-a-lot of money in my book -- and u know these people are paying full price too.

They may mean that, but they don't really word it correctly to have anything to stand behind. Besides like I said I just want a cheap case, it's not like I'm asking for the moon and the stars. After dropping literally close to 500$ on used games there since about november you'd just think they'd be a tad more willing to satisfy a good customer.

I have no other choice but to agree. I remember going to trade in my GC ($150 tradein special) and my EB store manager applauded the mint condition that it was in. He ended up telling me so many horror stories about people that have tried to trade in their console systems with dead cockroaches in them, smells of urine and other recognizable "stains".

When I heard that, words simply escaped me. But then again, this is NYC afterall. :p

You're not alone, seriously. But I personally hate to wait for a BS response via email, so I go straight to the phones!

Its really a function of Sony not selling official replacement PS2 cases, not even to big companies like EB. You know why? They don't like used game sales. What can EB do? They'd have to not have cases at all for some games, or they'd have to throw away some games and use its case.
What can EB do? They'd have to not have cases at all for some games, or they'd have to throw away some games and use its case.
lol, I can think of a few games that they sell that probably should be thrown away for their case.

I applaud EB for finally starting to demand case and instructions with games . . . part of the reason that I will deal with them at all.

I absolutely hated these stores in the cart days . . . they never differentiated between cart only and games with box and instructions . . . WTF!

I was soooo mystified back in the SNES days when I went into Funcoland and saw the prices attached to cart-only games. $40 to just get a cart!!!!!!

I know a lot of people just threw the box away but these store promoted that behavior when they could have curbed it.

I refused to deal with them. At the same time, smaller mom-and-pop stores would sell cart only for very cheap and gave you little in trade if you didn't take care of your stuff.

end of rant

too bad about the cases . . . I should have swapped out more of my trade-in games (I did some but not all).
