What can EB do? They'd have to not have cases at all for some games, or they'd have to throw away some games and use its case.
lol, I can think of a few games that they sell that probably should be thrown away for their case.
You may not be able to convince EB to send you replacement cases, but do remember, there were PS2 launch games that used regular DVD cases as well.

Interesting, I'm pretty sure Klonoa 2 wasn't one of them though. (If I'm wrong someone let me know)

But that is kinda cool to know, I never knew they did that.
jimbodan, why don't you just call customer service and speak to a manager about it? I highly doubt you're going to have any success trying to relate your situation via email; they need to hear how upset you really are. ;)

As for the demand for the N64, that surprised me a bit myself. Though I would guess that because some EB's simply don't carry them anymore (none in my area do), people are trying to purchase it online. And believe it or not, I have been looking for one myself. :)
I never had a N64 until January.. I really only wanted it for a couple of games (mostly Mario Kart, pod racing) but its also nice to take a "break" from this gen gaming and go back 10 years to some groundwork 3d stuff.. i also just had to replace my PS1 (i don't have a PS2.. opted for xbox instead) so yeah the demand is high.. like the used "mom and pop" store and the pawn shops all sell "any" n64 game for at least 10 dollars. and they usually sell pretty fast.. i get a pretty good return on the B2G1 free when i go for 64 wrestling titles.(as long as they work i get about 3-4 dollars off of them)

I guess it is now confirmed: Demand for the N64 is high. :) They're harder to find (outside of ebay) and there's obviously still a market for it (it is Nintendo after all). One of the reason's I was looking back into it was because I remember playing Starshot on the PC, and although the reviews weren't so favorable, I had a heck of a time playing it. Since the install CD isn't so nice with XP, I figured why not play it on the console itself?

The library of games is HUGE, and the prices rival that of the SNES. How could you go wrong? :whistle2:k

got one! I've looked for this game (at EB) for 3 months!

there were 2 in stock . . . who got the other?

$6 after coupon makes it almost equal to 1 JamPack that I traded in
there were 3 copies.
It is amazing how fast things go . . . lucky there were three or I wouldn't have gotten one . . . even though I was online at update!

I was actually pissed when I saw it posted here . . . I was searching for the game to be instock nearly everyday around update time for months!
Hmm I never thought the N64 had very many good games, actually. It does have a few gems though. I'd never get rid of mine.
The N64 had a lot of high quality games. Check my game collection for the very best ones! ;)

actually, i dont see paperboy or cyber tiger in there

My pre-owned Bombastic just came in just about the mintest condition possible. If not for the sticker on the back, it'd be like just out of the plastic.

Hey guys, I'm lookin to see if you can give me a little help. I know that i can buy GCN and DS cases directly from Nintendo's website, but does anyone know where I can buy official PS2 and Xbox cases from? I've looked at both sites and came up empty. I guess that doesn't mean I missed them though. Thanks for any help guys.

Looks like the images that were w/ the EB links are now gone. It is because of the forum change or something to do w/ EB's site?

:cold:
Wasn't their a save problame in like 1/4 of the P: TCGs? thats what the guy at KB told me, I don't remember I was lkie 11 at the time.
My copy kept erasing itself, even after I sent it back to Nintendo.

Star Ocean is one of the few non-Working Designs PSOne games that is worth that price tag. There's a LOT of gameplay in that one, and if you picked up the PSOne LCD screen at TRU when they went clearance, you'll benefit from the better picture quality. I hooked the thing up to my TV by S-video and compared it to the LCD, and the difference was quite noticeable. That LCD with the RGB connection really makes the game's graphics shine.
My copy kept erasing itself, even after I sent it back to Nintendo.
I believe it has to do with the battery inside dying.
I think it has to do with the forum change. At least, it seems like it would have to be.
Yaeh I think it has to do with the site change. Maybe the link's pictures are incompatible with VBullitin software? I really liked it when we had the picture with the links.

It was easier to know what was being put up.

thanks, i picked up a star ocean. i can always return it at work (eb) if there's no instructions, etc. it's funny that my employee discount nets me less of a discount than the regular coupons. well, not so much funny, as sad.

Did Cheapy or Defender say if it the pics would work later or anything? I sure hope they can do something to bring them back.

According to Froogle, thenerds.net and ebuyer have it for under $20. I've seen it at more reputable places, but I can't recall where. Pick one up from Gamefly if you have to, I doubt many got rented.
Perhaps you are thinking of Shattered Soldier,... although I hear NEO is just as bad.
$20 isn't too bad.
Neo's not too good from what I played, but Shattered was excellent.
Neo's not too good from what I played, but Shattered was excellent.
Yes on both counts.

Neo Contra tried the 3d thing, it didn't work too well. Shattered Soldier stuck with the classic 2d gameplay and it was excellent. Just becuase we have 3d, doesn't mean everything has to be.

i agree with you totally. I think the castlevaniaa and contras should stay 2-d

I honestly didn't enjoy Shattered Soldier.
I was up for the challenge,... but it didn't feel natural, like it's predecessors.
I struggled through most of it,... and then I got tired of trying to adapt to the controls.
Just like in Megaman: AC for the Cube.
Neo Contra can be had for $20 new... or $17.99 at Gamefly.
Yaeh, I agree. For those that truly want this game, I know that it isn't too rare or difficult to find and that most BBs have it for 29.99 if you really want it or 24.99 with a GGC.

But I have seen it for 19.99 at places like Fry's, etc. (they aren't coming to mind but I'm a hundred percent sure that at Fry's it is 19.99)

And Contra: Shattered Soldier was an excellent game. I picked one up at the original Blue Light Sale in January and it was $13 and the game is just awesome. Neo Contra isn't as good, but is still enjoyable.

Oh and to today's morning update, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhhhh. Not again. I missed Dragon Warrior 3 for probably the 50th time. I remember the days when it would come up in the morning and would go through the day, but back then I didn't have too much money and was more cautious. At least I picked up DW 1/2 when it was released way back when.

Yeah, Neo is not that hot and the price is fairly high . . . but I pointed it out because if you have EB credit from tradein bonuses, the actual price can be much lower.

I'm a big fan of Neo, but on the other hand I had to play it for myself and had to own it as well. Some parts are fun and its too bad there aren't more of those.

I got it new for $30 from EB online but got a $20 rebate (photocopy worked, I didn't cut the artwork) so my net was $10
sorry guys... i lost the link to the dudes homebrew webapp that was checking this stuff automatically.

that still up?
it's not up anymore, eb did not like it.

Since I'm a cheap ass newbie, could someone explain to me exactly how you can tell how many items EB has left? I've seen it reported many times "Only 23 left!" but try as I might I can't figure how that is found.. thanks :)
