Hey, I just found out that Ogre Battle and Tactics Ogre (i got both in the last two days) are not the same game. lol. I guess that's a good thing.

i cant belive how fast everything flew and how early the update was (update was like 704am est time) i didnt think many people would been there thinking it would been 715 or later)

Heh. My internet connection is so considerate--it took a nosedive right after the update. At least I knew I didn't miss anything. It seems like EB loads the rare stuff in first--by the time PS1 was up to 144 in stock, they'd loaded Suik II, Persona II, and Ogre Battle.

Nope, you just draw on screen using the cursor. Works fine though -- your creatures are a bit abstract unless you're really good (at drawing I mean, which I am not!).

This might be somewhat helpful for grabbing links to out of stock games. I use google to search for links only on ebgames.com. Here is the exact string in use in the search with Suikoden as an example:

It finds just about everything but you have to look a bit through the titles and results.

I know this is the wrong thread to ask in but it seems like there's alot of RPG fanatics here this morning. Is there any RPG you can recommend that doesnt have a turn based battle system? Or if it does .. feel free to recommend one that you think is so good that even someone that doesnt like turn based would enjoy. It doesnt matter what system. I have most of them and I have a strong hankerin' to play a really good RPG.

Brave Fencer Musashi comes to mind, it's an action RPG based on Zelda, same for Alundra 1 and 2 (though 2 is pretty weak).

Ordered one last week. When it arrives, make sure it has manuals for BOTH games. Mine came with the manual for Top Spin only. A trip to a local EB store corrected that. They just game me the NCAA manual from one of the many copies of this bundle they had in-store.

EB's been getting sloppy lately. I also recently ordered the TOCA2/Colin Mcrae 04 bundle and received just TOCA2. At first I thought I had fuck

ed up and ordered TOCA2 and not the bundle. But after checking the packing slip, I confirmed that I did order the bundle and they hosed my order. So I returned it to a local store without issue.

Now I'm waiting for the TOCA2/CM04 bundle to come back in stock so I can try ordering it again. Thems the breaks, I suppose.

I don't at all know if it's what you're looking for, but I really liked Grandia II--I played the PS2 port, which had some irritating bugs, but the battle system is one of my favorite ever--you still issue orders and wait for characters turns to come up, but there's this whole timing element, and timing your characters attacks so that they can cancel enemy attacks, and they move around the battlefield. It feels a lot more dynamic than most RPGs, though it's not straight-up action.

I can't find another site that lists a DS version of this game. GBA version, yes. But not DS. It's strange that other sites (notably Gamestop) have no record of a game that ships in just five weeks.

Besides, $20 seems low for a DS game on the day it comes out. Especially when the GBA version is also $20.

I hope the price and game and release date are acurate. I used to love the Animaniacs. It's nice (if its acurate) to see it coming out at $20 also. I had alot of fun with the Gensis version of Animaniacs a while back. I remember my Grandma bought it for me for CHristmas. The only time I did not get clothes from her.

Thanks for the link.

I'm guessing the major difference is a 4-player wireless gameplay using a single card for the DS version. And actually, that's a pretty nice feature. If that's the only difference, then it also explains why it's the same price as the GBA version.

This might be worth picking up since it's cheap.

I find this very interesting when i call Eb this morning i had an backorder for Suikoden II since july 8 and was wondering why it never shipped out. well i called them today and found out that my order was cancelled due to the fact they will not be getting anymore in and that they had 4 people backordered for it. I was like it was just on your webpage this morning, this is the line they gave me

ebgames is getting ready to make the merger with gamestop and is testing out some of the features on the webpage. they said that today they tested out Suikoden II and Persona 2 and a bunch of other highly wanted games . Both of these games ( Suikoden II and Persona 2) have at least 4 people backordered for each game and they do not have any copies in stock... they said most of the games you will see up on the webpage for a few seconds and disappear are test listings and they dont really have those games in stock. I think its just a bunch of bull they might be feeding me cause they had Suikoden II in stock today and they just cancelled my order last week.

i was very upset at the dude until i asked them about the other order i placed last week Rhapsody A Musical Adventure. They said this game shipped out to me on July 28.

i already have 1 disc only copy of Suikoden II i got from gamestop so i cant be that upset about it being cancelled. BUT i do love how they say that would email you if the items are cancelled or shipped and they never did

i just hope Rhapsody A Musical Adventure comes complete or with a box

i think i will call them back up later today to see if my orgebattle 64 order filled or got canned. so i guess if you do do phone orders they might fill. nice thing is i almost get to sleep in now that i got almost all the rpgs (besides persona 1 and 2 ( just dumped part 1 since it was missing book)
