MGS:HD collection has looked very sub-par compared to the other HD remakes. if you must have, definitely wait for reviews, as it has been upres', but no texture upgrades or anything, so it looks like i'm still gonna play MGS3 on 3DS when it comes out (i need to play that before going any further in MGS4).
the Japanese version has MGS1, 2 & 3 (it's MGS3:Susustence in both versions, which has the camera control on the right thumbstick, and an online mode, but not sure if that will be active or not). the US version has MGS 2, 3 & Peacewalker. i thought that would be a perfect time to be able to play MGS3, and the psp game that i have no way to play, but the vids look bad (that's not a big deal, as once you get games on your own tv, it always looks better), AND many of the reviewers/people that work for game sites that i know personally have said 'wait for reviews' which is always a bad sign, and they have played & seen it in person.
the day it was listed on amazon, the jacked the price up to 49$ (all other HD remakes from sony have been 39$), then they jacked up the price to the silent hill HD collection up to 49$ (which had been listed for quite a bit for 39$. wish i'd have ordered it then). i'd say ESPECIALLY since you have the games, and the ability to play them, then it's not worth getting. if it comes out & ends up being that everyone saw pre-alpha builds (very unlikely) & gets high scores from everywhere, then i'd say it's worth looking into for you collection.
btw, have you beat all these games yet, or just own them? if you've never beaten all of them, then it might bend a little more to the 'buy' side. also the splinter cell HD collection was released in UK as downloadable on the same day the game came out. if that's the case with this, i'd love to just buy the game i want withought having to buy them all. i would get Peacewalker, the MGS3 3DS, then beat MGS4. after that, we will have to see what MGS: Raiden's 'cut & slice' adventure ends up being.
EDIT: i didn't want to press him anymore on the card, so that's all i know. once he said he give it free, i just left it there (cuz we were doing some major catching up, etc, since we hadn't talked in 5 or 6 years).
@Alaisiagae
never had that problem, either. actually i did before, and it was on the SNES, and solely because i couldn't talk my mom into buying me more games. i didn't mind replaying the crap out of the final fantasy or street fighter/mortal kombat games back then, so maybe i've never had that problem.
i DO get into a funk where nothing seems to 'hit the spot', if you know what i mean. it sucks cuz i will always have games to choose from, but will just not be in the 'mood' to play any of them. my game playing choices usually come from whatever 'gaming mood' im in (until my unemployment, where now it's based on trade in values, or sales on CAG, sadly. still enjoy the games, though).
