Hardly the deal of the century, but it was $49.99 just yesterday (I know because I check daily for the elusive used copy). Not bad for those who have to have it new and missed it when it was $35 at CC. Other stores show it at $49.99 to $59.99, but I wouldn't be surprised to see similar drops elsewhere soon.

Edited by cheapyd - Now $29.99......Now $39.99...now $29.99 (the dance continues)

Edit: Down to $19.99!!!! hurry. Thanks to Sarang01 for pointing out the most recent drop. (Thanks, guessed, for giving proper credit. Forgot that. - shrike4242)

Edit - 1:52PM CT, 04/27/05: OOS on the website. Hopefully, they'll put up more this evening or tomorrow.

Edit: Thanks Strider, I was just in the process of checking it again myself.

Edit: 2:45PM CT, 04/28/05 OOS again. Check back tomorrow.

Friday Morning edit: Back @ $40, check back later in the day.

You should of bought 2 Madflava, one for you and your niece so that way you have no regrets and you can play 2 players with her or someone else too.

did anybody have the screen shot of it at 20 bucks....guess I missed it twice already....hopefully ebgames will have them in stock soon...
if we find it in stores how much would it be now?
When I called my local EB, they quoted me something like $50 (but it might've been $40 or $60 -- my memory's still hazy from rushing to get that deal before it was gone).
Updated the OP to match the price drop again. Still over 100 remaining, at the time of this post.

I offered to get hiccuple one, and have it shipped to him, and have him pay me. He never replied to my PM.

I'd do the same thing for punq.
Sorry I didn't PM ya back shrike. I did manage get in on it barely yesterday. I was extremely busy. Still am, Damn AP and college exams.

Now that you mentioned it that would have been a good idea but I've spent like $70 at EBgames in the past month because all of their crazy deals. I was hoping to hold out buying a second until I got my $20 gift voucher. Anyway, it looks like it's sold out now and I've decided to give the one copy I ordered to my niece. I know that she will enjoy it more than I will, not to mention I still have over 20 unopened titles I need to play through thanks to CAG ;)

Hrm. What's the odds we'll see this for $20 again in a day or so do you think? I shoulda jumped on it but I was low on funds, but after thinking ot over, I can't resist it for 20 bucks. Of course when I came to that, it was sold out

Wednesday and Thursday, it was price-dropped around 1PM ET. Friday, it didn't drop until about 5PM ET.

I'm sure various CAGs will keep an eye on it, and post in the thread if it does drop.

It might go back to $20. It came back in stock Friday for $40 and dropped to $20 around 3. So I'm hoping it drops again today(hopefully soon) as I missed it both other times.

Edit - beaten to the post.

This was asked before, but I never saw an answer:

Is the Namco drum better or worse than the Red Octane drum? I would only be getting this to get a second drum (I have the game already), but the Red Octane drum is only $20 anyway.

i doubt the game itself is totally worthless, perhaps you could take it to fye?

Where's the Red Octane drum only $20?
I wish they'd change the price soon...I gotta be somewhere soon. It was 4:30 Eastern time Friday when it changed?
No kidding. I have to work at 6:00 EST so hopefully it'll change soon. I missed out on it Friday due to work. :bomb:

I'm sorry for all of you guys out there that didn't get in on this last Friday. I thought that maybe EB would price it down again for you guys. Sorry it didn't go through.

Wow, just got mine yesterday and it's totally awesome! Particularly since I was a Donkey Konga fan and had played those songs to death already, this is a great way to keep drumming!

I didn't realize this thing would be so big. I had a huge box waiting for me and couldn't figure out what the hell I had ordered that would require shipping in such a large package.

Got this item today in the mail. WHY DIDN'T I ORDER TWO? This is a very fun game. If it drops agin, I will order another one. Thanks again guys!!

Me three!!! For why I didn't get two? :)

I also got mine in today. I didn't expect the drum to be so huge. Not bad for $19.99.

Got mine today as well..damn UPS ground shipping for free. I ordered last Friday evening.

yeah, the drums are friggin loud, not to mention unreliable (or might be me since I keep hitting the dead zone)

unforutnately im limited to playing this in the day time cause of the loudness

I find that hitting the center won't register at all. It is better to hit the outer circumference on either halves. And make sure the drum is set well so it doesn't move around when you have to hit the edges (which is a big problem for me).

Yeah, there is a dead spot right down the middle of the drum. The game is cool and a lot of fun for $20, but I still like Donkey Konga better. The bongo drums are just better made and much more sensitive. I enjoy Taiko but it gets frustrating having to look down and readjust where I'm hitting the drum because my hits aren't registering.

I noticed the same problem( some hits not registering), but for $20, I am willing to learn to work around the problem. nice toy for such a low price..
now.. if I could get guncon for $20...
