I need to find a new brand of Melatonin. Natrol is no where near as effective since they changed the buffers and made it "vegan." You wouldn't think it wouldn't matter that much but here I am wide-a-fucking wake as well.

Morning, OTT.

Finished Darksiders on yesterday...sad to see it end. Other than the Portal level, a fantastic game.

I have now started The Witcher 2..Nothing like full frontal nudity in a game to enhance the experience. :whee:

On the console side of thinks, I'll pick up where I left off on Fallout: New Vegas.

After little luck on jobs I got two calls this morning to set up interviews. One around here in a week or so, the other just outside of Raleigh, waiting for the hiring dude to call me about a date on that one.

It will still probably be faster to do the 22gig install on the 360 than the partial and initial launch on the trey. . . but damn, you know the kiddies with the 4gig bundle are gonna be whining.
 
Carmack usually delivers very good, but not quite exceptional games. Maybe Doom and Wolfenstein were lighting in a bottle, but they were the key progenitors of the genre.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

Just go to youtube and search skyrim 40 minute demo and there should be more, i'd wager.

Also, I doubt a 22 gb install on 360 will take less time than the partial required ps3 install -- BR drive is slower copy speed, sure, but the normal 7ish gb disc install takes about 8-10 minutes on my 360. Multiply by 3. 24-30 minutes. Seems unlikely that the PS3s initial "store 4gb" or whatever devs are doing these days will take as long (unless they'll allow for full install on PS3 too).

I think the skyrim stuff is zenimax being aggressive because the devs didn't want "shaky cam footage" and promised to post the 40 minute demo in HD. *shrug* It was impressive from what I watched. Might have to bite day 1.

As for the rage thing, I find it amusing because it's ridiculous; granted you don't *have* to install the game, but ... damn. :lol:

IDK, MGS / Uncharted 2 both took me over/close to 30 minutes with install and initial start-up to play the first time. I imagine a partial install & first boot on the PS3 vs the 22 gig install and play on the 360 will clock-in within just a few minutes of each other. Depending on whether or not I fumble a disk in the process.

Do you have to install all of Rages discs at the same time? Or can you just do it when you get to that disc? Either way, its not a big deal. Oh and Resistance 2 was awful. I can't believe they're making a third.

Has the blu-ray controller on your 60gb taken a dirt nap yet? Sounds like maybe it could be getting ready to if it hasn't? :| MGS4 took like 10 minutes on my 60gb. Uncharted 2 as well. Sometimes loading's a bit slow now with a 320gb in my slim, but still...

And I would think that you have to install the whole game, Zew, at least from Carmack's comments. While it's not a big deal for the people who bought/made 120 gb+ HDDs, I can imagine a lot of people will be pissed off (4gb/20gb/60gb owners, etc), especially if they want to play on XBL if there's multi and they have to run off disc...

It's kind of awesome in a way, actually, because if they do multi disc installs and let you play off, say, require disc 1 to be in the drive -- it kind of solves the "i installed 15gb of ME2 but sill need to switch discs" problem.

I still find it ridiculous, however, that -- for whatever reason it is, the partial install doesn't work; I mean, they have to be able to run off several different discs with only one disc in the drive, right? So why doesn't the 360 "copy the disc to the HDD" work? I mean, it wouldn't be gamer news that the install will be 20+gb if it wasn't required to be installed all at the same time, right? It's interesting to me from a "why" sort of standpoint... :lol:
 
It will take me exactly the same amount of time to install my copy of Rage on a 360 as it would on a PS3. A few years at the very least.

I must be thinking of a contemporary system install I hadn't done prior to launch then. I nearly had a rage fit waiting to play it. It was the only, thus far, PS3 exclusive I purchased day one.

When I lived in NC the channel wasnt available and I thought I missed it. Now that I am back in MI I have had the channel for about 2 years and dont think I have turned it on.
 
I watch it during E3 every year but thats it. Rumors have it Zuffa might buy G4 and make it a UFC channel. That would be a dream come true for me.

I believe it was still available in Raleigh last I checked (on digital cable). I remember watching E3 coverage last year.
 
You would think that a channel about video games, comics, tv shows would appeal to us but I think they are just too.....bush league.

They do one hell of a job reminding that 14 year old kids also like those things. So much style not enough substance, I guess.

I really valued watching Leo, Patrick, and the geeky-chic tech hotties. I used to get excited for Kevin's "dark deals." Probably outmoded by the tech blogosphere, e.g. Gizmodo and Engadget.

I remember one of the chicks accidentally posted nude pics of herself on the website. It was croped from a nude image but in a file format that preserved the entire image.

With the preseason about to start, my fantasy football league is starting to fill up. Beginning to tout my commissioner powers over everyone is fairly fun, especially since a couple of the dudes are really big Colts fans. Let the fight for the first draft pick begin!

those help you fall asleep but prevent your brain from entering REM sleep so you wake up tired, if you're able to stay asleep without REM sleep (I wake up 2-3 hours after passing out drunk and can't go back to sleep)
