Going to Gamestop tomorrow to trade some stuff in. Wondering if I should trade in my Fallout New Vegas. I bought the Dead money DLC when it was on sale, but never played it. The bugs are really kicking my ass, and I can't bring myself to play through it again because of the constant lockups. Any advice?
Well considering it's been on sale for $20, what are you even going to get for it? A few bucks? Is it really worth unloading it?

I'm not being objective-defiant or a dicky, or anything, but I've yet to experience a single glitch in New Vegas, although I have heard some horror stories.

Be sure to check out a Fallout Wiki and read up on the known glitches for whatever quest you're working on.

the douche that sat next to me at the movies tonight (no, not Frosty ) reeked so badly that several hours later his stench is still burned into my nostrils. It's a wonderful combo of stale cigarette smoke, bad breath, BO and cheap cologne, just in case you were wondering. :puke:

There was an old couple that sat a couple seats down from me a few weeks back and they reeked of cigarette smoke and alcohol, like they were sweating it. They left halfway through the movie and the smell remained until after the movie ended.

PSN is still down eh?

Ditto. The only problem I ever encountered was that the game froze coming out of a load screen two or three times. Didn't matter though cause I save all the time so nothing lost. If you listen to any IGN podcasts though you'd think F:NV was the shittiest game ever and weird glitches are the norm and you're lucky to have a fun experience.

With my New Vegas, I would get stuck while trying to climb mountains and stuff like that to get to a place that's high up. No matter what I did, I couldn't get out. On top of that, I had the Bloody Mess perk (or it's NV equivalent) and at times, when it was used, my Xbox would lock up, and I'd have to shut it off and then back on Those were the glitches I had. only two, but they happened enough to really get under my skin.

That was weird. I was listening to the Comedy Guide to Sports and started up Portal 2. I hit pause on the Sports thing but still hear Stephen Merchant talking. I had no idea he was in Portal 2.

You grabbed it but didn't wait for any of the sales?
Some cheapassgamer you are. :nottalking:

Do you mean ideas for shows to watch or create? If watch, I recommend The Killing, The Borgias, Game of Thrones, The Sports Show w/ Norm Macdonald, and The Ricky Gervais Show.

If you're looking for ideas for a show to create - how bout a show about a guy who moves to Chicago and his naive cousin from a small Mediterranean island moves in with him?

I don't even care about him being champ. I like him because he's just pissed off all the damn time. I look forward to his interviews as if they're WWE promos.

EDIT: hey, I didn't even realize that was you, Maklershed. I got used to that bloody hatchet guy avatar.

I left a long time ago. But now I'm back.

Review a cheese sandwich. Then make another one, review that cheese sandwich and reminisce about how much better the first one was.

I do that weekly with tuna fish. Solid white only.

Had a great day today. Went for a light hike with the dogs this afternoon. This evening we went to dinner and to see An Evening with Kevin Smith: SModcast / Jay & Silent Bob Get Old.

This has been a hell of a hockey game. I almost couldn't believe that save in OT by the Nashville goalie. Side note, how the hell do Tampa Bay and Nashville -- of all places -- have professional hockey teams?

Applying for more jobs. I wouldn't mind getting this 6 month position in WA surveying lampreys. That would be somewhat ideal for me at the moment.
Has anyone watched this extreme coupon show? Shit is crazy...250 bucks worth of food for 6 dollars.
You haven't seen the extreme ones. Some lady had over 2K of stuff and paid ~$11.

My wife has done it in the past, but she's gotten about $200 of stuff for about $20. There's sites on the web that guide you on how to do it. The funny thing is that most places have limits on what you can get but the ones on the show don't seem to be stopped by limits.
Thank you Amazon for matching K-Mart and having Portal @ $35. I wouldn't pay any more than that.
Thanks for the heads up.
Now I just have to get GS to cancel my order.

I bet Peanut was using the sniffer like crazy.

Sony plans to offer free downloads of unidentified "content," 30 days of free PlayStation Plus access to new and existing members, and 30 days of free Qriocity service.

...

Are they fucking kidding? So, as a token of their apology, they give us 2 free trials to services that they hope we all pay for after the 30 days?

I don't think we should get those two services for free, or anything, but what a spit in the face.

"All of your information was compromised - and we took our sweet time letting you know - but hopefully you'll give us some more money in 30 days!"

Sony really is a bunch of arrogant fuckos.

A free month of Netflix would be more valuable, by comparison (but not good enough), as you could watch tons and tons of movies for free. PSN+? I get to play a couple arcade games I won't own past the 30 days and download some demos? lollllllllllllll

Prediction: At the end of the 30 day trial period it auto renews anyone that signs up and bills their credit card and Sony gets in even more trouble.

Have elements of the GGT been justifying the outage and breach of security?

(I don't have the stones to go into that thread anymore.)

I'm too afraid to look, but the comment sections on Joystiq and Kotaku put me on the brink of projectile vomiting all over my monitor.

I wonder what the free game will be? I'll be impressed if it's a retail game download, but I know it's going to be Pain II.
Thursday
I'm glad you got the price match, but your CAG membership is still under review.

Maklershed: "Is Portal 2 good, should I buy it now that I'm back from vacation?"

Maklershed: "Oh, okay, let me pay full price from Amazon today."

I think the funniest thing about the whole Sony fiasco isn't their delayed or even lack of response. It isn't their blaming the hackers when it was clearly their fault, but the only thing on their playstation website that recognizes whats going on is a little crawler that says, "Click here for more information...." They still have the audacity to promote SOCOM 4 (among other titles) that is obviously driven by multiplayer while all but hiding the fact that their shit is f'd.
