Poncle posted a Q&A for the PlayStation versions of Vampire Survivors in their Steam post for the new update:

When is the game relasing on PlayStation?
- August 29. We finally made it ☠️

Does the PlayStation version include the Darkasso patch?
- Yes, it will launch at version 1.11

Does the PlayStation version have a Platinum Trophy?
- Yes. There are in fact 2 PlayStation versions, one for PS4 and one for PS5, and they have separate trophy lists, with a Platinum Trophy each (you receive both the PS4 and PS5 versions, regardless of which one you buy).

All of the achievements available on other platforms will have their trophy counterpart, but due to technical limitations you'll need
less trophies than you'd expect to obtain the Platinum.

Every new content update patch will come with a new Trophy Group, just like other platform achievements.
Collab DLCs will not have Trophies for the usual reasons.

This is what's at the link:
  • Are there new achievements for the DLC?
No, there are no platform level achievements for Vampire Survivors: Operation Guns. There are in-game achievements to unlock (in the Unlocks menu like normal), but no Xbox/Steam achievements.

  • Any reason there's no new achievements?
Yes, it's problematic enough to have achievements in our own DLCs, but those we can easily discount often and do giveaways with, basically we're in full control of them.

Collabs are different, there will be different business guidelines we'll have to follow to make and publish them, which means there will always be a risk that some achievements might one day far into the future become impossible to obtain, or sit behind a price tag too steep to some players. We know people hold their 100% achievements unlocked status in high regard, and we do our best to make sure that is achievable for everyone and not the few.

If there will ever be a way to separate DLC achievements from base-game achievements, then rest assured we will add separate achievement lists for every DLC, either collab or proprietary, but until then we prefer to play it safe and not risk to compromise anyone's completion rate.

Black Myth Wukong is rapidly approaching 2 MILLION concurrent players just hours after launch breaking all-time records! To put that into perspective, Hogwarts Legacy was the best selling game last year and it only hit a max concurrent of 879.308. Absolutely insane numbers! Looks like another huge win for gamers!
I hadn't heard of this until now and just looked up a gameplay video and some articles. Looks really good. Definitely going to pick it up at some point.

Weird to see that despite all the praise the game is getting and all the records it's breaking, it only has an 82 on Metacritic. Just goes to show how out-of-touch [most] critics are and why I stopped reading reviews years ago.

Wukong numbers are going to be largely inflated by the Chinese player base.

And remember, quantity of players or sales does not reflect quality. Hogwarts Legacy was a big seller, but most folks have said it's a soggy fart of a game in the long run. And plenty of astounding titles fail to meet sales goals.

Reviews are helpful. Follow the reviewers who align with your interests and don't buy games based on hype.

It helps that Wukong is being advertised as NOT Souls-like. Sounded more like a boss run speed dungeon, which is usually a ton of fun if the fights are interesting. Not interested right now but if it hits Game Pass I'd surely try it.

I seriously wonder if it has been worth it for them to increase the price of PS+ Essential from $59.99 to $79.99, with the loss of customers. I have been unsubbed for awhile. It's not digesting well. Been thinking about this a lot lately and I wonder what the situation is like. Wouldn't it have been better to get my $60? How many other players out there feel like me I wonder?? No, I don't think that it has immediately fallen off by with an instant -25% decrease in paid membership. But I do know that other people feel similarly. I know that there are tons of people who aren't playing their consoles as much as they used to, their playtime is scattered, and there aren't many must-play games this entire gen. Most current customers are still on their prepaid 1-year active subscriptions. But in ~9 months it's time to pay the piper. These things take awhile before their effects set in. Was the price increase worth it??

"Sales are flat,"; "there is no growth in the industry," lol... These companies want to grow their install bases. But they are both currently stagnant, or flailing. And Nintendo is going to blow everyone completely out of the water in exactly 9 months from now. You're going to see more generous sales on current gen (Sony and MS) consoles these holidays than ever before. It seems very possible that they'd bundle or gift free 1-year subs, or promote disc drive consoles around $300. Gotta find new ways to screw your existing and current customers right?

Right now, currently, the only signpost is that it's crazy how many people pay for expensive digital subscriptions they don't use much. But that will change. Spite has set in.

I just don't really see where we go from here. The Sony + MS console industry has never felt this stagnant, and its owners this disinterested. Nobody cares for your price increases. Customer satisfaction is at an all-time low. What's coming very soon are price reductions and seasonal promotions. As soon as these things just become 'Call of Duty + paid-service' machines then it's all over. People will quit. and move on, to anything else. When the machine has just become a heavy anchor with 'sunk cost' and 'pot committed' fallacies.

They certainly trained everyone this gen that the cost of owning a current console is incredibly higher than its in-store price tag. That's the main point they've both driven home. Now no one is enthusiastic to 'buy' again. def not to commit.

The problem with looking at any metric is that you end up comparing it back to Covid years. Subs were up across the board because people were stuck at home with nothing to do. So disposable income went from entertainment outside the home to entertainment inside the home.

I do agree that first party offerings from Sony and MS have been weak this gen, but I think that's due to the size of investment needed to make AAA games. There's less diversity because it's a lot safer to make similar looking titles in existing franchises.

Fortunately, there are plenty of unique offerings coming from 3rd parties. And I think PS Extra has been worth the cost thus far because they're getting things like Dave the Diver, Animal Well, Stray, etc.

I'm glad I save my psn cards from gamestop back when we could used our $5 monthly certificate towards a $10 psn card. I'm having fun with Black Myth: Wukong.

This. When something domestic gets popular in China, audiences tend to go all in on the bandwagon.

I could understand if this was a microtransaction filled mobile game but all reviews are pointing to Black Myth Wukong being a premium quality AAA experience. Doesn't that prove that there's demand for asian flavored story experiences? Isn't that how Playstation got popular? By bringing their asian centric games over to the west? Is it a coincidence that Chinese and Korean games like Stellar Blade and The First Descendant are on the rise while western studios are literally filing for bankruptcy? Looking at you Forspoken, Saints Row Reboot and Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League....

I AM (ethnic) Chinese. My family consumes enough Chinese media to give me at least a little insight into how mainland Chinese tend to interact with popular content. I’m not saying anything vis a vis the quality of this game, I’m just pointing out that neither are the figures you’re quoting.

Alan Wake 2? Pretty sure that was the fastest selling game in history for Remedy and wasn't even available physically like their previous games. Also critically well received. Not sure what point you're making there.

Right, but as the poster said above follow the reviewers you align with and so far all of the reviews for this game have been very positive. It's definitely a game I'm interested to check out.

Fastest selling Remedy game? That's like comparing the fastest turtle! :ROFLMAO: Remedy games have never sold well. In fact, after race swapping the main protagonist, Alan Wake 2 has HEAVILY under performed. Honest question, how many more games can Remedy make if they're not making any money?

Alan Wake 2 is yet to turn a profit for Remedy despite it releasing last October.

Over 1.3 million copies of the game had been sold as of February but the company has only managed to recoup "part of the marketing and development expenses."

Did anyone have any luck finding the free version of Cult of the Lamb? I'm not seeing it on the app or on the web.

A company finally figures out how to capitalize on releasing a new game close to the hype of a TV show or movie, and it turns out to be one of the worst reviewed efforts in years. Big oof!

Mario already did this last year anyhow with Super Mario Bros. Wonder

Alan Wake 2 is an arthouse game. Over 1 million copies sold for an esoteric AA game that didn’t even get a physical release is actually really good. These kinds of games have really long legs, so AW2 not generating profit immediately is probably not a concern for Remedy.

I find Remedy’s recent stuff to be a little too pretentious and self-important for my tastes, but I would take their weird, experimental games any day over the usual dull as shit soulslikes and cinematic action-adventure dreck that passes for AAA these days.

A lot of people have been casually following BM Wukong after their yearly awesome trailer releases, just to see if they can pull it off. I'm certainly curious and want to play, but no way am I jumping this soon even though I have a 4070 now.

Alan Wake 2 got a good hype cycle this time to distract from the past lack of success. We don't need to talk about how low Guilty Gear numbers were in the past, Strive secured a seat at the somewhat mainstream-gaming table for a while.

I finally earned enough points to redeem a $20 PSN card so I just did it on the app and it was instantly added to my account.
Surprised how easily and quickly that worked.
