That shows a disconnect between developer and their targeted audience. Just maybe they hired consultants that were hyperfocused on pushing an agenda rather than being the bridge to their targeted audience. That's 8 years worth of time, energy, and money down the drain.
Last of us Online was reportedly in development for 4 years before it got canned. The fact Concord made it to release really has to make you wonder how bad the Last of Us Online was.

I hear that these are going to become super valuable and sought after.

They will be super collectible after being on clearance for like $40 bucks or something. I actually like the design a tiny bit (feels like old space propaganda), but will not pay any premium for it at all.

For those that were already enrolled, the Sony Rewards (not Stars) is ending at the end of this year. You can no longer earn rewards but you can redeem points. I had 303 and needed 500 to redeem a $5 psn card. In the past I have paid to round up but I kept getting an error when trying to add the card. Contacted chat and was told to be able to add anything to cart I had to have at least 500 points. I think the lowest they used to have was $10 cards, so maybe that’s true.

They gave me a courtesy 197 points and I got the $5 card and am done. Only thing I have left are the movie buff redemptions. Been hoping the selection would change before the end of the year but I’m losing that hope

make me sad they think twisted metal IP not worth the cost but greenlight games that tried to " cater " to the new generations that care more about how you refence them and that you know thier sexual preference and as major event vs the rare and lacking car combat that can have thousands of potential random stories. maps. or characters even woke diverse ones and still be fun.

nope better focus heavily on battle royal, 5v5 shooters, more shooters as a live service wait what? copying all other shooting games are not making us millions??? that don't make sense, better make another shooter that the SAME as all others BUT cater more to the minority, that make us real money ....

no, I couldn't care less, who gay, strait or any variation of, just bitter they got cater to for new games and they show near ZERO support in buying them but me buying every TM game ever made was not good enough for a new one even 10+ year later.

I see most of the posters have gone deal withdrawal crazy again including frisky. Try to keep it deals adjacent at least please. No need to fill the thread with negativity.

Anywho so1r is 6.29 matching a previous low for those who don't already own it. Great game. Short sweet good cast. I'm still mad that I didn't recruit the ranma 1/2 guy. I don't get why you can't recruit everyone in that and so2r. I get why in the original releases and later psp ports I suppose. But I'd like to use say the bird siblings and mavelle sp? Opera Dias and Ashton etcetera in the same respective parties for their games.

I also feel bad for not using Leon had I known he was clod exclusive. I wanted to use him on renas route for her reverse harem.

Thanks for the reminder! I went and looked and had just under enough for a $20 gift card so I just paid a little extra out of pocket and got the $20 gift card to use up all my points.

I should contact chat and see if they will round up for me. I have 389 points in my account. I was going to do the same thing and it wouldn't let me pay the difference to purchase the $5 card.

Ahh the end of an era. For years starting in the PS3 days, I used Sony Rewards with that PlayStation credit card for 10% back in PSN credit. Always a good day when the balance reached a redemption threshold. Especially when I was broke in college and $50 seemed like a fortune. Nowadays the Sam's Club deal for 11% off PSN codes has taken that place for me. :)

Yeah there is always things you had to use more when money was either very little or just not as much there. I know in college I had a limit per month for money and Goozex (old dead trading service) allowed me to play a lot more games for my PS2 at the time. Sony these days just doesn't equal value and everything seems expensive with terrible sales on their PS+ (that upgrading sale was a joke IMHO), and I see more people including my own friends waiting it out on PS+ because the value isn't there. Pretty much those discount PSN codes at like Sam's Club or Dollar General or wherever they come out are really our only sales to get these things. I would never buy an XBOX though with me loving niche games too much especially Japanese ones, but yeah stuff just feels so expensive this generation that I'm okay skipping releases until they drop unless it's ones I really want or like to support like visual novels.

Here’s how I approached it:
I have some points, but not enough to redeem for anything. I’d like to get a $5 psn card. In the past I could use real money to make up the difference. The site still says it’s possible. But when I try to add it to my cart I get an error that I don’t have enough points
Sony Rewards Support (8/23/2024, 1:11:09 PM): I am happy to assist you with this today. You must have at least 500 points in your account, to access the purchase points option. I will be happy to add 197 courtesy points to your account, so that you will have 500.

IIRC, you have 90 days to claim your freebie. Went with Hook...for nostalgia.

Foamstars? I think that did well the first week then dropped off a cliff or something.
I'm pretty sure foamstars was free on ps plus at launch. And even though it was a blatant clone of splatoon, I think the wokeness of Concord probably kept enough people away. It all seems so sterile and lifeless. I played 2-3 matches in the beta before I deleted it. It was slow and not fun and didn't feel good to move or shoot and had a leveling system that was worthless and unrewarding. All the characters felt like caricatures of what an AI thinks people want, instead of defined real personalities with drive or purpose.

Probably a good move going F2P (Foamstars). I hope it results in them expanding on the game some more.

I liked the game a lot when it came out and played a bunch of matches over the course of a couple of days, but once I put it down, I didn't feel a draw to come back to it. Pretty quickly got a "well I've seen everything there is to see here" feeling. I think there's a lot of potential there if they continue to build on it.

Yeah both the GBA and DS Castlevanias (I didn't like Dawn of Sorrow much) are probably some of my favorite Castlevania games. My favorite of the DS games easily Castlevania Order of Ecclesia. I'm glad they released it so cheap cause around $25 is what I would pay for these games.

The previous Castlevania collections dropped in price pretty quick. So ill wait for $15 or less on this collection. Excited to finally play Order of Ecclesia. got it at launch and sat sealed on my shelf up until I sold it at a convention for $175 back in July.

Foamstars was explicitly designed as a free to play game, but charged $30 for it while asking for money for cosmetics and a battle pass. If it weren't for being on PS+, nobody would've paid attention to it.

Tomba! is on sale already for $13.99, but I'd only get it if it also includes the not-yet-released PS4 version like how the Rocket Knight Adventures remaster includes both versions...

Awesome that MLB the show is a part of it. It's been on Game Pass for years now. Too bad it's not a part of PlayStation premium but this is better than nothing for those without game pass.
Why would it be better if it were on premium? This way all plus members can claim it and play it any time with an active sub. If it were on premium only people who were paying more could access it, and only for as long as it stayed on the service

I assume he is saying it should be a day 1 release with premium like it is on gamepass, you know, since xbox is hitting it out of the park with gamepass and aren't desperately looking for new revenue streams or anything
