Pre-Order the PSP Go for $212.49 ($180 After Bing CB) @ Dell.com

Yeah I had to cancel my orders because they didnt off me any rebates. I canceled on Saturaday but have yet to receive my money back. Anyone know when I get my money back?

I got my cashback from Bing... I ordered before everyone realized there was a bing cashback reward (I didn't even know myself, I had just went through the dell website via bing). Waited like 3 days after ordering and got like $35 dollars back on my PSP. Though I will probably immediately resell it once it gets here because Sony gayed out and is not including a PSP UMD -> Electronic transfer method. That killed it for me.
with whom are you talking regarding the "no cancel" incentive? i spoke with cancellations last night about potentially canceling my order and no incentives were offered.
I called the standard customer service number on their site, provided my order number and said I wanted to cancel my order. After a brief hold, I was transfered to their "cancellation team" (a friendly lady with a British accent). I provided my order number again and confirmed a billion things about my identity. When asked why I wanted to cancel, I said "It was an impulse buy, and the thing is just too expensive". She paused (I heard some keyboard clicking), then asked if a $30 refund (available 14 days after it shipped) would change my mind. I said "hells yes", took down the reference number, and wished her cheerio.

Good stuff. ;)

Two years ago, I would've bought this thing at full price. I'm a born-again CAG.

Mine shipped too, I had it on standard shipping, so we'll see how long it takes. No tracking number available yet, and probably not till tomorrow.

I didn't have a tracking number either. I'm just assuming they boxed it and slapped on a label and waiting to ship it out the door. It would be nice for it to get here tomorrow, I really need to finish FF7.

Something tells me the PSP-Go will not outsell the Virtua Boy.

#1. The battery is not user replaceable and as we know Lithium Ions chemically degrade over time, so in a few years well yeah its not gonna hold a charge.

#2. No way to convert UMD's to digital

#3. $249.99 + tax for basically technology from 2004 its still just a PSP.

#4. I will wait to see what improvements Sony Ads to the PSP-Go 2000 next year. My guess is an OLED screen, since they already released an MP3 player with an OLED screen the same sizes as the PSP-go my guess is they canablize that OLED screen into the PSP Go next year. Yearly upgrades same as Apple.

#5. How many developers are signed on to produce games for the PSP Go. ??? Last I read the PSP had fewer developers than, any other console.

#6. What developer in their right mind would bother spending money and resources developing a small digital only game for the PSP-Go, when there are less than 200,000 PSP-Go's sold (thats a Guess) vs. 50 Million Ipods and iPods touchs which have double the processing an dgraphics power of a PSP-Go.

financially and techinically it makes no sense. To support the PSP-Go

So I just wanna double check before I order. As long as I enter the Dell homepage through the Bing cashback link and log-in to cashback, I can then search for PSP Go and I'll get the discount? Just wanna make sure there's no notices that come up through checkout before completing.

Yes. go to bing.com, search pspgo dell, click on cashback link, log in to bing cashback, buy psp go, receive bing email within 2-3 days

Looks like I might get mine tomorrow as well. They shipped from SoCal, package is a little over an hour away. If not tomorrow, definitely by Friday. Big ups to Dell!

Same situation. They told me it would be 24 hours, but also said it was a 3rd party they were going through so they had no real control of it. Figured I'd call and bitch after today (the 1rst) since thats when it should have been truly charged (I used paypal to try to get the instant bing cash back and its still listed as pending).

Watch out then. I called Dell to cancel my order yesterday afternoon. I didn't think anything of it when the cancellation specialist took a while to check on the progress of my order, given the listed October 13th shipping date. She said my order was canceled and my order status is listed as "Changed" and "Not shipped." But this morning I received a package from Dell with a PSP Go (the PSP box is tiny). I've got still got a $2XX.XX pending charge from Dell on my credit card, so I'm not quite sure what's going to happen.

So I walked into work today, and guess what was on my desk.... a box from Dell. They're serious about shipping!

You're on the internet my friend.
$20 more than the Elite I just ordered today, no thanks Sony.
OMG, YOU ARE SO RIGHT! The two things compared are really that similar.

LOL. Yeah, looks like SONY tricked another person into falling for the "we're looking into the whole UMD trade-up process". I've been a PSP owner ever since the PSP-1000 was released, and I refuse to pay more than $150 for a PSPGo until SONY offers a means of playing the 40+ UMD titles I own without charging me for it.

Hell, I was pretty peeved when I saw that the excellent "MediaGo" software was free because I was one of the sucker's who purchased the PSP Media Manager.

I mean, if I still had that 2nd job they told me to get when the PS3 came out, maybe I would just re-purchase all the digital versions...

Mine arrived today, it's more comfortable than I thought. Worth $180? Doubtful, but we'll see :).

Kudos to Dell for the insanely fast, free shipping, though.

Guys I think this is good news for you PSPgo owners:

I think this means we can see sweet online deals(ie CHEAP)for PSP games ala XBLA games from Amazon!! Oh snap, son.

Also as you can see...retail pricing for atleast 3 games there is more expensive then on PSN(GOW/Ratchet)

Where is your god now, whiny "bu bu DD is more expensive" b******s?

It's the new games I see as the expensive DD proposition, 40 bucks for motorstorm download vs. the UMD from amazon for 28 for example. I'm not opposed to downloads(downloaded 60 bucks worth of things today), I just like having options.

The flaw in your logic there is that any DD game can be played on any PSP as well, of which there are over 51 million sold, so try again...

Exactly. I don't think I'd be hasty to thump my chest and gloat. There's a lot of "wait and see" in my mind as far as getting regular discounts on DD. But guess I'm just a whiny b****.

That's so digital lol

Basically, all they've done is make the physical product take up less space in the store.

I'm having a hard time seeing your point, since I can play both digital downloads and UMDs on my non-Go PSP, so I can go with whatever's cheaper/more convenient for me for any given game (something you can't do with your Go, btw).

And paying retail price is for suckers -- for example, I paid $9.99 for my UMD copy of GOW (new), which is $6 less than your "cheaper" download. That's the kind of deal that you're never going to see with your digital downloads, and the point that you're apparently missing.

Would amazon ship the card or email the download code? (I've never bought an XBLA game on amazon.)

This is really interesting. I imagine brick and mortar stores would have to match sale/clearance prices with the voucher cards.
Oh shit, just received mine, and I wasn't expecting the free RockBand Unplugged voucher. :bouncy:
RockBand Unplugged "Lite"

Pretty much. If last week is any indication we have some good things coming to us. I picked up the download voucher for Patapon 2 from Target on clearance for $4.98.

Hmm still no money back and no psp at my door. Anyone that ordered not get theirs yet or anyone that canceled get their money back yet?

I got my Go today, and it's a voucher for a "special Go Edition" Unplugged, which is supposedly only 5 tracks. Bit of a waste of time, really.... The box is misleading, too, since it doesn't mention this fact..

And they take up less resources. DD is Tree Huger Approved!
While I'm itching to get into the Go vs Non-Go debate (I think the Go is a step backwards, but I know Sony is trying to pave the way towards DD), this isn't what this thread is for.

As tempting as it is, lets keep the deals threads about deals. Debating the hardware and related issues needs to stay in the General Gaming or Sony PSP forum.

Holy crap. This could be a great move if Sony releases all future games as voucher codes at stores! I'd rather get cheap DD games that way!

Also Im not gonna get into PSPvsPSPgo ..its just a stupid debate. By releasing PSPgo, its not negatively affecting PSP3000. Infact its just sorta giving it more life with better PSN support and new stuff like Minis. Also its brings costumers better choice. For instance some lazy gamer can buy a new PSP release over PSN at 3 am without leaving the comfort of their home. Thats obviously a premium but for some, its worth it. I dont get what the big issue here is. If its the price, wait for a price drop or wait till the store vouchers are on clearance.

EDIT: Got some Cool PSPgo features:

- Use your DualShock3 with your PSP. You can play games/manipulate media. Cool bonus: Play 2 player on PS1 classics! One player uses PSPgo while the 2nd uses the DS3. Best when hooked on your TV!!!
- you can select pause game to freeze your game in its current state and use the XMB for anything you want, then hop back into the game...but you can also play a different game and still have that pause data ready to go when you quit that one. (Example: Play GT, pause via PS button, listen to MP3s/Videos? or play another game such as Monsters. After 10 min you quit that and can continue where you left off from GT)

Damn this thing is so slick!!! Glad they used the spare memory for sweet ass features.

Yeah...bummer. Funny how the insert with the code doesn't mention "Lite" anywhere, and it only shows up once you enter the code. Oh well, I sucked at the game really bad anyways

Yeah they charge sales tax for every state I think. I finally got my money back after many calls and emails. Dell is fast on sending out products but are horrible at refunds and cancellation. i guess I will wait for a better deal in the future.
