So then why do they exist at all? What's the point? And why did is specifically say Gold, and let me download the stuff?
all it does is give you MP benefits for games you already have, you don't have gold privileges, like the ability to play 1 vs. 100. like the game says, gold members only
I'm wondering how people are averaging a "zero" reaction time? Are they just not answering anything?
Probably a turbo controller and just randomly guessing which button it's going to be.
It would be more interesting to me to use the entire mob to see who can last until the end of the show, if anyone at all, instead of just showing how many people missed each question.
I'd love that as well, but some of the questions were slaughtering people tonight. I think it may make for a far more interesting game but it would probably end up frustrating a large swath of players, especially those who get nailed with something particularly nasty.

I played from 4-4:30 Pacific time. Didn't get on the mic since I had a friend over. It was pretty fun. I would have played longer, but we ordered the WWE pay per view.
That's what the skips you earn can help with. It gets harder near the end, so that kind of fits with that kind of format.
That is true but the thing is you got to answer enough questions in a row to earn them and if they have too many of them you get wrong then you have no choice but to anwser the questions.

Well that sucks. Some kind of trial  This was literally the first thing since the Xbox launched that I wanted to try out...oh well Microsoft.
What's with all the Kevin Smith questions? A Kevin Smith question and Mallrats question within 5 minutes of each other, and another Mallrats question the other night.
I was thinking the same thing about the Rent questions. There were 3 or 4 all last night. The only musical I care about is South Park.

Spend the $50 for the year if no one is having a sale on the cards. It's worth the $4.17 it would cost you a month.

Unfortunatly it's not, to me. I actually think I might like this 1 vs. 100, but without even being able to try it :(

Oh well :whistle2:/
There were like three Rent the musical questions... I got them all wrong since I'm a man.
Guess now's not the time to say I did 7 plays while in High School, including Grease and West Side Story. There are tapes out there if you want to attempt blackmail (and no I don't have them, wish I did as those were some fun times.)
was there another extended play last night?
there's an extended play every night(including last night) until the live show this Friday and Saturday I think.

Man, the questions were tough last night. I broke a 100,000 the last 3 rounds but I was no where near the top 10, geez.

They are doing the extended play every half hour from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm EST everyday until Friday. I played in most of the ones last night. The lowest score I had was 78k but I scored 120k in the last one I was in. The only one I didn't play in was the 9:30 show.

Has anybody else actually had a chance to play a full show with no one playing with you? This happen to me during the 8:30 slot. It felt weird to me but I keep playing.

oh ok cool... I didn't notice that. I'll try to get some time in... I can't play every night though which puts me at a disadvantage come the regular show.

Forgot to mention this! Was it just me or was there questions that repeated? From last night's show, I could have sworn they asked the question about the Velvet Ant being a Wasp that was from a few days ago.

That actually happened to me yesterday. Couple of my buds had to leave for dinner at around 8, was alone for a whole game until they came back.

It felt weird being alone after playing the previous night with a full party.

Finally got a chance to play it. It's okay. There are tons of questions, but its really lacking in presentation. While I understand this was only an "extended play" bit, I dunno how much life it will have once its a regular thing.

The questions were good though. Appropriately mixed for the first segments and then after the last stat break, they really up the difficulty factor. Questions about ancient Egyptian politics and weird shit like that.

Well, I had my best round yet last night when I scored 128k. I realized that I need to make better use of my skips.

I also feel kind of geeky because out of all the sessions I've played I didn't finish the leader in my group only twice up to now. I play a little too much cause my lifetime score is 906k. The people with the most though have 2 million plus.

The extended play is nothing like the actual live show which has quite a "good presentation."
yea I definitely remember that wasp question from saturday, and that was the only day that I played.
The question was worded differently. The first night it was "Something, something, and velvet ants are all types of..."
X: cockroaches, A: wasps, B: ants

The second time, the question was "Velvet ants are a type of what?" X: wasps, A: something, B: something
(I didn't look at the other answers because I knew what it was)

There are, without a doubt, many similar questions on the same subject. But I've yet to see a straight up, 100% repeat.

Oh, also, to archibishopthedoge, the live shows and extended play are different like night and day. I've actually stopped playing the extended play the last few nights (didn't play at all last night) because after awhile, it begins to feel pointless.

It's like taking a deck of Trivial Pursuit cards and going through answering the questions without playing the actual game. Catch one of the shows on Friday or Saturday night. You'll notice a huge difference.

I'm hoping I get picked in the live show but I doubt it will happen. Plus, the live show is 2 hours long compared to the 30 minute extended play. N8rockerasu I enjoy the extended play because I like trivia and learning new things so they are always fun to me.

There's a constant flow of N'sync questions and a lot of questions based on previous questions already asked. Still though, there's a enough variety of questions to go around.

I think my favorite question was "What is the 24th letter of the alphabet?"

A X B

Obviously the answer is X but considering the button layout...good catch by HotShotX when we were playing.

Another night, another 2 hours of playing in the crowd getting nowhere near the top 3. YAWN. Please be pay to play so I have more reason not to bother

Wow... just wow... The question was something like this:

"How many numbers are on the front of a wireless Xbox 360 Controller?"
X - Zero
A - Four
B - Two

There were 100 mob members left as this was the VERY first question. The amount of mob members that got it wrong was... 46. FORTY-SIX PEOPLE COULDN'T LOOK AT THEIR CONTROLLER AND CHECK? Geezus, I've lost all faith in the Xbox community and then about five times more. ;o

i missed that one because i was confused. i thought they meant on the buttons, which are letters not numbers. thats probably why so many people missed it.

Maybe they had a wired controller.

What is the deal with all of the people with zero-100 gamerscore being The One? Are these extended play sessions actually worth bothering with? Are these just random game developers/MS employees getting to be The One?

I can excuse some people getting it wrong via accident or mistaking the question, but wow. I have never seen 46 mob members get a question wrong before, especially one that was one of the more simple ones.

Can you have 2 people playing at the same time on the same console? Meaning both are earning entries, etc. I assume both would have to be gold members?
Thanks.

It was actually answered in the previous pages, but yes. So long as both accounts are gold accounts, you can play locally. I assume up to four gold accounts can play locally too.

I was playing some last night. I really liked it. I'm going to try and be on tonight also. It was more fun then I thought it would be. So the points with the blue icon would that be points to buy things in the marketplace if it was not in beta? I have seen that icon in the past and thought it was something that gave me MS points to buy things. I stopped playing befor that number question came up or maybe I got in after that.

Anyway when it has 2 or 3 other people at the top of the screen next to your icon what is that? I noticed I got a star under my name then they came up. After that someone else got the star and we were all around the same amount of points. I could see me really getting into this when it comes out.

When the random people showed up you all became a "party". The star indicated that you were in 1st place within your party.

Was in a party of 8 people playing in like 2 different rooms last night, and I thought the question was very easy and everyone would know it but I not 1 person did. So please tell me that some of you knew the Tiny Dancer question? I dont listen to Elton John but damn ive heard the song before...
