I just wish one of the announcers would acknowledge the crowd or even just say something like, "100,000 strong chanting 'Roman sucks', that's gotta hurt Maggle". That would make this all okay.

Yeah the ignoring of the crowd just makes it so much worse. Especially when all they do on the Raw after Mania is spend 15 minutes ignoring them, giving up, then just going with it. There is no way they didn't see this coming. Roll into it.

The fans have officially hijacked the main event of the "biggest WM in history". There's gotta be a run-in, right? Something? They're not this stupid?

I can't think of a single main event for a Wrestlemania where the crowd was this much "fuck YOU" to the match and just went into business for themselves and chanting whatever. Hell I think they were even doing the singing for Bayley.

Love that fake crowd cheer they tried pumping in that got drowned out by boos immediately. Now it sounds like they are turning the crowd noise down a bit. Wonder if they'll try the Rock bit again to try and get him over as a face for the umpteenth time.

Well. Not the entire show was garbage. The ladder match was a pretty entertaining spots match. New Day entrance was fantastic along with the Legends coming out. The womens triple threat was my match of the night. And Shane did something I wasnt expecting him to do, but wow, he still has it in him.

Too bad for that main event. Grew so bored I fast forwarded through most of it. Glad the crowd threw in some dont give a fuck chants like Nakamura and some Zayne.

Fully expected some sort of curveball to end it, but nope.

Well, at least I watched Takeover today. At least the lower roster can put on a damn solid show.

I enjoy the fact that Wrestlemania has actual competition in the last few years with NXT being on the same weekend and constantly being compared to in a show done right.

In my head Triple H made a shooting gesture with his hand after the match and the lights go out and the Bullet club or Balor club or w/e comes out and destroys Roman. Then Nakamura comes out and dances around the ring. Also Cesaro, Tyson Kid, and Rollins all announce that they're all better.

And Neville. Can't forget Neville.

And do you guys think if Neville didn't get injured, he would've gotten the Zack Ryder spot in the ladder match?

This was so bad I'm reconsidering going next year.
Saw on Reddit that the ticket scanners used wifi to verify tickets, but the wifi network at AT&T Stadium was down, so an estimated 20-30 thousand people were still waiting to get in by the time the ladies title match started.

Yeah fuck that, I'll just stay home forever.

How badly did Roman get booed.
They noticeably turned the mice down during his entrance and right after the finish. At the start of his entrance, his music is super loud and then goes down a lot to quiet the boos on the broadcast. Same thing happens when he wins. Cole is talking and goes from an audible volume to hard to hear mid sentence.

Honestly, the most confusing part of the night was the battle royal.

Tyler Breeze gets tossed out by Mark Henry to make Mark look strong (obviously important) and then Baron Corbin wins. What kind of backwards world is this where Tyler Breeze is tossed out of a battle royal as an afterthought that Baron Corbin then wins?

Even more confusing than that, is nobody has made a  fuck joke yet.

There had been a small possibility of Roman getting over with hardcore (i.e., adult male) fans.

As of last night that possibility, however slight it was, was completely removed.

The actual event aside, I think WWE created Roman haters for *life* due to last night. The obvious tampering (e.g., sound mixing) only adds fuel to that fire).

I missed the Kalisto v Ryback match... I don't think I'll go back.
i knowi thought it was on during maina it wasnt on during the other 2 preshow matches.... Mania did last way too long watched it from 6 to midnight (est or whatever time it ended) fell alseep a few times during the triple H match.. It did not even feel like mania this year. no shocks no twist no nothing.... Was sure seth was going to run down like last year but nope.

taker should of lost, last night showed he was past his prime and just needs to quit. i think last night was the first night they did not push the next PVP..

Best part of the night is when they broke the tables i think it was between shane and taker and cole goes They broke our monitors We cant see what they are doing, Though they were standing right in front of them.. That was the best line of the night

I enjoyed all the stuff with the legends. When the foreigners or whatever their name is said that no 3 men could beat them, I sat up hoping for the Bullet Club to show up. It didnt happen but I didnt mind seeing the old guys again.

Shane's jump off the cage was stupid in my opinion. Why do that to yourself? Memorable spot but pointless.

My take away from the show is that maybe next year the women should main event the show. They had the best match of the night. I never thought I would say that but it is the truth. Just make the women wear costumes that they dont have to worry about their tits falling out of after every move.

Was that the worst WM of the modern era (post X-7)? Probably not, but I'm struggling to think of one worse right now. Even 27 had some matches where the crowd was excited for the outcome. They made zero attempt to save the two big matches, which (especially in the case of the cage match) would have benefitted from a copious amount of run-ins and dumb tricks. Seriously, WHAT THE fuck was that cage match? There was nothing to it. No Undertaker beating up daddy in front of his kids, no run-ins from guys wanting Shane to take over, Vince didn't even come out and dump him off the stretcher afterwords! Total shitfest. Yeah the leap off the cage was a sick bump for someone to take but it's not like he hasn't done things that are more of a spectacle than that in the past.

Even the Ryder thing didn't seem like that big a deal, because who the hell is Zack Ryder at this point? Who thinks Ryder is going to have that belt more than a month?

Jericho over Styles and Lesnar over Ambrose are inexcusable. Charlotte winning did a nice job of killing the crowd, and Undertaker/Shane/HHH/Reigns crawling through their matches at a geriatric's pace did nothing to help that. Bray Wyatt would have been better off just left off the show completely. No amount of audio mixing will save their face of the company champion tonight. Baron Corbin is shit.

From a "it made us laugh" perspective, highlight of the night was TATANKA!!! showing up with absolutely zero acknowledgement from the announcers until Cole makes a passing "is that Tatanka in there?!" comment.

Yea, that was odd. He could still go. That should have been a Losers Leave WWE Battle Royal.

Also, with all the commentary teams, they needed to give us English speaking fans the option to listen to the garbage Raw announcers and they much better SmackDown! team. Let us choose, even if the high ups end up not liking that no one listened to JBL and Cole.

Also, just based on last night, my expectations for Raw just went waaaay down. It's clear based on last night they are not actually interested in making much of an effort to change things.

As far as surprises, I'll assume Enzo and Cass show up. Bayley won't, she's still got stuff to do with Asuka. Bullet Club I thought for sure would since this would be the audience to put them in front of, but having a lot of doubts now. Some people are saying Stardust kept saying over the weekend that he'll be back to Cody tonight...1) who cares 2) why? So he can get down to Sandow-level instead of Ascension-level? Stardust is going nowhere, but at least it's a character.

Whoever said let the women main event Mania next year - if stuff keeps going the way it is, I'm totally fine with that idea.

I dont think the finish was deflating, but I think because it wasnt a squeaky clean finish? Maybe because the person they wanted to win didnt? I dont know. I liked the finish. Maybe Sasha should have won, nothing wrong with Charlotte being the first WWE Womens Champion either. Heel wins with heel tactics.

Why was the finish deflating? I saw a bunch of people bitching on twitter about it, too.
People are bitching because Charlotte won. I have zero problems with Charlotte winning due to Flair grabbing Sasha to prevent the break up. It was a triple threat match which means no DQ, so it makes sense storyline wise that Charlotte would get a cheap win with help from her Dad.

I thought Wrestlemania was a solid show all things considered. The women really stole the show IMO in terms of matches. I thought AJ and Jericho had a great match, the ladder match was a fun opener, New Day was entertaining as usual, Reigns vs. Triple H was as cringe worthy as I had thought it would be, Brock vs. Dean was probably the most disappointing match of the night, Shane vs. Taker wasn't far behind, especially the finish. I really enjoyed seeing Corbin win the ARMBAR though, I am a big fan of Baron Corbin and want to see him go far. Corbin is a guy who has improved in leaps and bounds over the last year and can be a top heel for WWE, I just hope he continues using the Indie Killer gimmick on the main roster, I'd like to see Corbin work with more indie darlings on the main roster.

Pretty stoked for RAW tonight and what happens.

See, I hated the finish to the women's match, and then I realized that was THE POINT. To enjoy the chase. Wrestling is awful storytelling if the thing I want to happen always happens. So when I get mad, I've been able to turn off my smart mark anger and stop with the "WWE BOOKERS AND VINCE AND STEPH AND HHH RUIN EVERYTHING WHY CAN'T THE PEOPLE I LIKE WIN" entitled crybaby fest.

Instead I was angry because Flair cheated to win and deprived Sasha Banks of the moment I wanted her to have - hoisting the WWE Women's Championship up on Wrestlemania Sunday.

Now I can't wait to see Charlotte get her comeuppance.

In other words, it was booked *very* well, IMO. I'm pissed and I will be foaming at the mouth for the rubber match.

That doesn't mean I love every finish. I had no interest in the HIAC match or HHH/Roman. But I'm not angry about either match or finish - just 100% disinvested. WWE can't like that attitude at all. It means I don't care what happens.

I can't really get into the comeuppance thing because Charlotte already won the big fight and the one match that'll be remembered (if any are remembered at all, anyway). Sasha winning the title at Blowback or whatever the next PPV is in front of a crowd 1/4th that size isn't particularly exciting to me. Last night was the time to do it, that should have been the comeuppance since Flair had been getting away with it for months already.

I think this was compounded by the fact that literally every other match prior on the main card had a finish that just felt wrong. Even the Ryder thing seemed odd to me despite it getting a nice reaction. A Sasha (or even a Becky) win there would have lit that place up immediately. They always say a good show has highs and lows. This show started off on a kinda-sorta peak, then slid downhill and just stayed stagnant halfway down the slope the rest of the night.

As much as I hate admitting this: With all of the injuries and changes, I expected this WM to be far worse than what it was. No complaints from me aside from a few nitpicks here and there.

Not sure I can get into your logic, Kane. They should have put the title on Sasha because the previous finishes were flat, except for the one previous title match, which led to a crowd pop when the title changed hands?

I personally believe Wrestlemania is where for the most part, the heels should get their comeuppance.  Flair has been causing shenanigans for Charlotte's last several title defenses, and Wrestlemania is where the either of the babyfaces should have gotten the win.  A heel retaining due to manager interference is NOT, IMO a Wrestlemania match finish, especially in a match that was designed to OMG legitimatize the women's division as something awesome, it's a finish that should LEAD UP to the Wrestlemania match where as I mentioned, the heel should get their comeuppance.  I thought the match itself was very good, but either Becky or Sasha should have won, and honestly, the ending to that match was the exact turning point where the show began to go south for me.
