I had trouble getting into The Last of Us on PS3 but I'm debating giving it another shot with the remastered version for 8 bucks even though the trophy list is awful. Also want to get the R&C Collection for PS3 but it's one of those where I'm not 100% sure I don't have a physical copy lying around here somewhere still in the shrink wrap.
I waited to play it for the ps4 with all the dlc
and waited for it to be 20 bucks

that was a long wait and it was quite possibly my favorite experience with a game since maybe the glory days of n64

I guess everyone has their things but I feel like the last of us is a beautiful experience in every way possible

The Last of Us is one of the greatest games of all time. Sometimes I wish I made a little bit more money so I could buy some codes for you guys who are on the fence about it.

Wow, you can pretty much buy every Ratchet and Clank game (except for Secret Agent Clank) for $24. I don't even play my PS3 anymore but I'll be buying all of them in case one day backwards compatibility becomes a thing.

and up your arsenal. But yea, great deal for all those Ratchet games

Up Your Arsenal is included in the Collection, which comes with 1, Going Commando, and UYA.

Deadlocked is included free when buying Full Frontal Assault and Quest for Booty is free with Into the Nexus

I don't know anything about Ratchet and Clank games and I'm not sure which ones to get. I'd like something with cool online stuff maybe
Up Your Arsenal, Deadlocked, All 4 One, and Full Frontal Assault but they are mostly dead at this point. The first two I mentioned are death match modes, All 4 One is co-op campaign, and FFA is teaming up. Trophy wise, multiplayer is online needed in the last two, but are fairly simple

Just a heads up for anyone who didn't know (and I apologize if this was already posted), I just purchased Ratchet and Clank: Into the Nexus, and apparently it also includes a free digital copy of "A quest for Booty". So if anyone is thinking about purchasing both, just buy Into the Nexus, and you will get both of them. :)

This is very weird on their part. A Quest for Booty is $4.49 on its own, but Into the Nexus is only $2.99 which also includes a quest for Booty. Color me confused, but pleasantly surprised.

EDIT: And I just noticed someone posted this a few posts above me. :wall: Hey Frisky. Could you maybe add that to the OP just so people don't accidentally spend and extra $5?  Oh, and thanks for your suggestions. Picked up the first 4 you suggested. :)

I really didn't like the game at first and did not understand why it got so much critical acclaim. More than halfway through it, it began to grow on me. By the end of the game I loved and I eagerly anticipated playing it a second time around. My friend also hates the beginning. He hasn't gone back to it yet even though I told him it gets exponentially better.

I don't think I even got to the halfway point before I stopped playing and moved on to something else. The female character at the beginning just really rubbed me the wrong way and it kind of soured my feelings about the whole game even though
she dies before too long.

I wasn't digging the gameplay enough to overcome those feelings at the time but the low price during this sale has me thinking it's worth another shot especially with the performance improvements and DLC I never got on PS3.

You owe it to yourself, and the rest of the gaming community, to give it another go. Ive beat that game about 6 times now. Easily my most favorite game of all time.

Killbomb you matched my sentiments exactly.  Trudge through it some more.  After you get more skills and the game picks up, you'll wonder why you ever stopped playing the game in the first place.

Can someone explain the Helldivers Democracy whatever? If I want all the available DLC, do I have to get the $10 dlc pack, too?
The Democracy edition is the base game + the terrain specialist DLC which adds all terrain boots as a perk option that lets you move without slowing down so much in swamps and snow terrain.

The reinforcement packs put together a trio of DLC packs.
*Pack 1 is commando, defend, and support - This is a pretty good pack as it includes nice items such as the quad-rocket launcher, the guard dog attack drone (which is useful for kill farming while idling), the healing drone which automatically heals allies and repairs vehicles, and a laser based machine gun. - sale $2.39
*Pack 2 is demolitionist, hazard ops, and pilot - This is also decent, but not as good as pack 1. It has the demolisher satchel charges which are an excellent anti-tank weapon and the avenger cannon which fires toxic sludge, useful for slowing enemy units and poisoning bug tanks. - sale $2.39

Though neither of those packs include the UAV drone (which is in the ranger pack), which makes farming for samples (what you use to upgrade weapons and stratagems) much easier to locate on the map.

*The Reinforcement Mega bundle is 12 of the 14 DLC packs (it lacks the all-terrain and precision packs) - Sale price $9.99. Since you'll get all terrain with the Democracy edition purchase, all that is missing is the precision pack if you buy the Mega Bundle.

Included in the precision pack DLC is a perk which that reduces the time for a stratagem to deploy by 1 second (you can only have one perk at a time so it is not very useful compared to other perk options), a homing, heavy artillery strike which is quite good against tanks, and the precision expert uniform. There are other options to deal with tanks between the weapons and stratagems of the vanilla game and the other DLC so it's fine to skip the Precision Pack for now and only pick it up if you end up really liking the game.

I did a review of the game if you are interested in finding out more about it.

So short answer, if you want all the DLC, buy the Democracy Edition, the Mega Bundle, and the Precision Expert Pack at the full price of $2.99.

Going to have to get use to the whole no right thumbstick for the Ratchet and Clank collection. Ahhhhhh the PS2 days....

has anyone tried using a new ps4 20% off code with this sale? i tried buying Destiny TTK Legendary and said i couldn't use it. any help is appreciated.

I waited so many years for the ratchet games to go on sale and after they didn't around the time the new game cam out I finally gave up and bought them and of course..now they are all cheap af

happens errr time

ok question,
Can only grab one, which to get?:

Fat princess
Tempo
Assault Android
If you like bullet hell shmups or twin stick shooters, get Android Assault. It's a combination of both. I already owned it on Steam, but I liked it so much that I rebought it for PS4 during this sale. It's challenging, and you can replay the stages as well if you get a low grade on them.

Killbomb et al. I too just didnt like the gameplay much and stopped real early, like after the 2nd or 3rd Clicker encounter. Everyone says it's so great but I can never convince myself to get back into it. It's been so long that I feel I'd need to start over, but the beginning was so emotionally strong that I'm not sure I want to endure that again.

And vacillations like this are why I end up just playing games of Super Mega Baseball. ;)

I've loved every Ratchet game I've played so far. Haven't played any of the PSP releases, so seems like a good time to pick up Size Matters. Do I need to transfer to the Vita via ps3, or can I download directly?

Any opinions on Overlord for ps4?

lmbo at alice for $8 when it was like $2 a few flash sales ago

i've heard really good things about dariusburst though?
I think that was a price error cause it stayed like that for two weeks. I trunk it happened during a non sale? Either way it's a great game and we'll worth the current price since we don't have a time machine. I already have it :D

Tempted on castlevania MoF HD at that price, but I'll probably never play it

So I kind of found out the hard way that they actually won't let you buy Quest for Booty if you already have Nexus in your cart. I kept getting a message that was saying I wasn't eligible to buy Quest for Booty and I couldn't figure out why. Turns out they were protecting me from myself. :p Don't know what would have happened if I had tried to add the games in reverse order.

Finally a decent sale on Zombie Army Trilogy, grabbed it!  Also, if you don't already have Garden Warfare 2, $24 is a great deal.

Thanks Frisky.  Seems like I never know about these flash sales until I read about them here.

Seriously considering CoDAW at $6 cheaper than the disc. Not much of a FPS guy, really, but I can always cower behind my nephew...

Anyone recommend the R&C collection for the vita or should I go with the PS3 version? Read some user reviews on reddit and other websites, but CAG input is always appreciated

I'm at a convention this weekend, and I forgot about the flash sale until last night. I almost might as well have; other than Ratchet, it's a weak month for Vita.

I'm kinda wondering if they are both similar as I could always use more Vita games in my library

After playing both versions, go for the PS3 version for the true experience of the R&C games. The Vita version is difficult at times and has a small frame rate issue. But on the bright side, the trophy lists for each version are separate so you can potentially get 6 Platinums from the two.

Amazing sale for me. I grabbed every R&C game on sale, the PSP GTA collection for VIta, and New Contra. And of course PvZ goes on sale a few weeks after I buy it for 32 at best buy. Oh well. Hopefully the trade in value tomorrow won't tank too bad so I can go with a digital copy. To anyone considering Black Ops declassified.. just don't honestly. At first, the idea of playing cod on the go seems like a good idea until you run into the piss poor framerate, ugly graphics, and awkward controls. They really didn't do this game any justice, I think I played online for an hour and then never touched it again. I consider myself a huge fan of the black ops series but I wouldn't bite at this price.

Finally bought TLoU.  I've played it before through phantom shares and rentals but never finished the story.

I'm also considering the Metro bundle but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

The GTA collection is tempting but I can't add any more shit to my Vita backlog. I gotta stop

For those wanting Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault for Vita, it's supposed to have some issues that you should be aware of:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RUUUkfIB8hQ
I didn't watch the above video, but I did plat R&C:FFA on Vita. I had a blast with it, though it's not perfect. It's got a different setup than most R&C games -- it's sort of an action tower defense game -- it plays like R&C but you need to take over chokepoints, laydown defenses, and eventually beat the enemy base.

I'm not particularly sensitive to framerate issues and such, so none of that bothered me at all. I had fun with it, and am glad I bought it / plat'd it. FWIW.
