Wow, I still cannot believe they are selling so well. I may pick up some to EBAY. I will capitalize on other peoples stupidity. Basically, $10 extra is what people are getting....crazy!
So it seems like they might be in at more stores, but it's a matter of GS having their system updated to deal with the cards (since PSN cards are kind of like iTunes cards that need to be activated at the registers, which sends the message to SCEA to allow the cards to be used). PSN Cards are not within clamshell like Wii points/MS points. We are getting 6 in tomorrow afternoon. So they are hitting stores most def. We also found out today at work (GameStop) we won't be selling PSN cards till sometime early next year because our computers need an update to sell them (I believe they are like itunes cards that need to be activated at the registers) They said they hoped to have the new update for our computers this year, but it won't happen now =(

http://kotaku.com/5042308/gamestop-wont-have-psn-cards-until-2009There's been no fanfare or official announcement from Sony, but there are PlayStation Network pre-paid cards out there. For sale, to the public. And have been for months. So long as you've got a Meijer near your place, that is. If you don't, and are waiting for something a little more widespread - like GameStop, for example - you may be waiting for a while. If this email (courtesy of a GameStop employee) is legit, it looks like the nation's largest specialist gaming retailer isn't yet equipped to activate the cards. They were supposed to be, but they're not. They will be in 2009. Just in case, you know. It was keeping you up at night.
