The Legend of Dragoon will be out on PSN on May 1.
God dammit, now that I've beat the game they give out free DLC. That and the Assassin's Creed outfit is awesome, but totally not worth $3 lol.

How the hell do you find this stuff anyway? Good thing I check this thread because you'd have to dig through the store to notice subtle additions like that.
It's really easy to find since it's listed under New Releases > New Add-ons and it's mentioned on the PS Blog.
I never understood why they had both Qore AND Pulse which was always free. I won't miss Qore, when Veronica Belmont left as host, there really was no more reason to be interested in Qore. Her replacement with the well meaning, but inferior Jessie made it clear that Qore wasn't gonna last much longer.
One was kind of the magazine while the other was kind of a newsletter. They had different focuses and levels of production.

Only if you check weekly. They could benefit from a changelog, sort everything by date, something.

It is sorted by date. The items for the most recent update are at the top, then the update before that and so on before whatever cutoff they make for it.

The New Releases section has the games that released this week with links to the sections for latest add-ons, demos, themes, avatars, videos, and PSP/Vita stuff.

I mean a single list of everything sorted by date. Right now, if you miss a week or two, you have to check every category.

Legend of Dragoon......on PSN?!

That's how they used to do it, but people complained about it.

Yea, but having the organized method, and the huge list isn't exactly mutually exclusive =P

Ive been waiting/wanting for Legend of Dragoon to hit psn for the longest (even tho I have a copy) GOT DAMMIT SONY, JUST TAKE MY MONIES. Charge me $100, I wont be a cheap ass gamer this time.
One was kind of the magazine while the other was kind of a newsletter. They had different focuses and levels of production.
Thanks for the clarification, but they still seem redundant to me, both were downloaded digital multimedia publilcations that advertised (ahem, "showcased") PS3 games. They did not need both, and cancelling Qore kinda proves it.

Oh, I was able to find it just fine once I knew it existed. I don't read the blog; I rely on them to actually tag these updates with PSN+ or New Releases. Clearly they like to hide some free content elsewhere though. . .

It is under New Releases in the Add-ons section.

It doesn't actually prove that at all. The PS Blog can kind of do all of the content that Qore offered without the expensive production costs associated with making it.

Right, my point being at a high level it's not visible; you still have to drill down to find it. I don't regularly check add-ons because I don't buy DLC. If it had simply been tagged as free or new release, I would have found it right away. Although, I suppose for the sake of clutter I understand why it's that way. At any rate, I'm glad you mentioned it even though I'll never see/use it lol.

It would still be in the same spot, so I guess I don't understand what tagging it as free or new release means.

What the fuck are you whining about? Could you be any more lazy?

When I signed up to PS+ I downloaded an episode of Qore for free to check it out. On the menu it had an option to download extra freebies but when I clicked it it said I needed a yearly Qore subscription fee. So I said forget that and never looked back.

I was unaware we could get free content from these "Single Use" freebie Qore monthly episodes. Or is it a special last episode thing?

Some episodes offered a theme.

Did anybody download the Darksiders demo within the last few weeks? I can't find it anymore on PSN.

Interestingly enough i noticed that my PS3 downloaded a 10GB file that i could have sworn was supposed to be the demo last week. I know it wasnt a $20 digital purchase because my wallet amount never changed...
Did you download the Full Game Trial?
Hmm i think you're right sorry i think i had a brain fart. I'll double check when i get off work. I was wondering if it was a glitch for a second.

Anyone know if that Qore Arcade thing is free to keep forever or not? I think Qore was PS+ only right? I just don't wanna download that n have it be invalid after June.

Some more info on Stardrone Extreme and the original on PS3:
Hello again! Alexey Menshikov (Beatshapers) and Andriy Sharanevych (Orb Games) are here. We are super excited to announce that StarDrone Extreme for Playstation Vita will be released to the PlayStation Store on April 17th for $3.99.

For those of you not familiar with what StarDrone Extreme is about, here’s a brief: you pilot an always-in-motion spaceship through diverse cosmic environments through the game’s 60 levels. Goals can range from making it safely to the end of the level, to destroying all enemies, to collecting certain items, and more. What’s unique about StarDrone Extreme is the way you control your spaceship.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-piZLoc4U0Q

Each level starts by aiming and shooting yourself out of a cannon into outer space. Your spaceship stays in motion from this point on, and it’s your job to attach to nearby gravity beacons to navigate its flight path. While tethered to a beacon, you will swing and attempt to circle the beacon until you release and slingshot yourself further. This core mechanic allowed us to bring together elements of shoot ‘em up, pinball, collecting objects and exploration in one game that has no comparison anywhere in the world. And it has great visuals, of course!

The game controls are very intuitive and clear – you just pin the desired beacon with your finger, then release it, and the game physics does everything else. You literally hold the game field in one hand and simply tap on it with a finger on your other hand. And you can also switch to using rear touch panel, if you like.

For StarDrone Extreme we’ve created a bunch of brand-new exclusive levels. In addition, we’ve fine-tuned and revamped levels from PS3 version of the game according to players’ feedback. The PlayStation Vita version has all-new UI and improved visuals. Other cool features include: adjustable skill setting, so the game is not as punishing when you make mistakes; ability to skip current level when you got stuck; and a lot of other things polished and improved.

In addition, the critically acclaimed PlayStation 3 version of StarDrone is getting updated, featuring a cross-continued gameplay with PS Vita version via Cloud Save and Cloud Load feature allowing you to exchange your current progress between the two platforms.

For more information, check out the StarDrone site. See you Tuesday!

I wasn't a big fan of Stardrone for the PS3. I thought it was boring and instantly had buyer's regret.. But this Vita version does look better. Glad it'll have a demo. Looking forward to checking it out next week.

There's no expiration date on the game, so you don't need to roll your eyes anymore.

I'm playing the Rayman HD demo. Curious to pause/restart and see if it has a motion sickness warning, because DAMN, if my brain isn't going every which-a-way!!!!!!

Holy shit, shut the fuck up.

Wooo, just beat World Gone Sour and have the top spot on the leaderboard for campaign score, haha. Only Method Man could rap about Sour Patch Kids and have it be totally awesome.

For those of you that have been hesitant and waiting on Journey as it sits at $15, like me, I'll link this:

Comment made by Morgan Haro who I think is the PSN Community Manager. Really discouraging, I guess PS+ isn't turning out exactly like I thought when I signed up (even free Qore going bye bye). I was hooked into a year subscription with 3 free bonus months. But as the time wears down, I find myself less and less willing to shell out again for a second year.

Now I know Flower has been on sale for $5 multiple times before, and I think sits at $10 now for an older game by the same company. I know the obvious thing is, it's not on XBLA so the exclusivity can make it hold the high price for a long time, which is unfortunate.

Forget it, I'll just be blunt: Digital content price monopoly/fixing. Nothing we can do about it. It's obvious that the Next Gen systems will have it 10 fold more, and I just don't think it's "fair". Talking about digital full $60 releases too. That is absurd, and apparently Mass Effect 3 hit the top 10 for the digital version too. You hear about the lawsuit against Apple/publishers for fixing the prices on eBooks? Just sayin', this is the future we have to look forward to.

How is this price fixing? You whiners are so fuckin ridiculous. The game came out a month ago and already you want a sale?

Let me guess, you're going to compare this to stores like Amazon who sometimes offer deals at launch? Well, what about the games that don't get deals and launch at $59.99 at every store? Is that price fixing too? You morons act like no games on the PSN store or 360 store go on sale and they do. Quite frequently.

Go cancel your Plus subscription even though it's already paid for itself more than twice.

My guess is that, for future console generations, places like Amazon will still be able to sell games that can be activated on consoles, the way they sell PC games now that can be activated on Steam. If fact, they used to sell PSN games already, and Best Buy and Gamestop both sell PSN and XBLA games at the moment. Hopefully this will create a decent amount of competition to help drive prices down over time. However, I'm very weary of the road video games are taking so there is definitely a reason to be concerned.

I couldn't disagree with you more about PS+. I don't understand how anyone who likes a wide variety of genres of games and has a high interest in downloadable games could not be pleased with PS+.

And for Journey, people just need to give it a rest. If you've just got to check it out, buy it now. Or wait 5-8 months and there is a good chance (but not a guarantee) that it will be 30%-50% off. As I mentioned before, Journey was the fastest selling PSN game of all time, so giving it a day 1 discount would have been a stupid idea.
Eh, if Journey never goes on sale, then I'll never own it. Simple as that. Two can play that game.
And unfortunately, all players in the game lose. I'm in the same frame of mind, if I don't see it on sale in a year 1/2 or so, then I'll go ahead and get it. that's the great thing about having a backlog of games, no rush. And it's not that I don't think that it's worth the $15, I do...but I like getting something of fair value at a great bargain. It's kinda like having a wife that you love to death that's pushing 40, and a magic genie pops up and says "Hey, I can put her back to when she was 20" Now it's not that I don't value her at 40, but guess what... I only got 2 wishes left now.
And unfortunately, all players in the game lose. I'm in the same frame of mind, if I don't see it on sale in a year 1/2 or so, then I'll go ahead and get it.
Well for me it's a much simpler matter: I don't pay over $5 for digital downloads. Since I don't physically own it, I refuse to pay more than a rental price.

The trick is to have the 40y/o wife that lets you bring in a 20y/o gf. that doesn't help this analogy at all tho.

yeah i mostly only buy psn games when they go on sale, and now being a super backlogged king cheapass, i dont even get dead block for $5 i wait til even cheaper, lol

I wish gamers would point out the real issue with PS+.

If you happen to get a game for free during the service, the actual buying method disappears which is a major flaw BC a lot of the times, those games given for free to members, drop to really low prices for non members. So what happens? Maybe I want to own 100% the free game but I can't purchase it BC the option is not there.

Let me give you an example. Age of zombies was free for PS+. OK cool. Some months later it goes on sale for .99 cents but I can't buy it to keep indefinitely BC the system thinks I own it or 'bought it' already.

If anything, PS+ should give users an additional discount on games gotten from the membership in case they want to keep them if they ever leave the service.

I can see that being a huge issue during your sub to PS+, but does it persist once it expires so you can never purchase it? Obviously you'd like to buy it when it's on sale during the sub, but if the latter is true then that's pretty retarded lol.

It's a non issue. If your PS+ has lapsed, you can buy at the sale price. If not, well, you currently have access to the game, so what's the big deal?

You're basically painting a scenario where you've planned on playing a game later when you don't expect to have PS+, and are upset that you've missed out on a sale. Which is weird.
