Waoooow, what a weak week for PS+, considering AC:B and RDR had their ultimate editions on sale for ~$19 just a few weeks ago. I'd probably buy Limbo if I didn't already have it on Steam.
Any suggestions on things to buy? got a $50 PSN card for my bday and so far Payday the heist is the only thing i am looking at (i don't want games that are available on disc because i prefer physical over digital)

It can be PSone, PSN, anything that isn't on disc right now (like sly etc.) Looking for some suggestions on RPGS/SRPGS/platforming/COOP etc.
Tomba.
you're welcome.

How much of a Single Player segment does Power Stone have? I thought it was mostly a multiplayer brawler on Dreamcast.

I've never played the ps version, only the dreamcast one, but it is a mostly multiplayer game, I would not recommend it if you are going to play it by yourself.

I missed that sale, didn't have PS+ yet so it wouldn't of matter if I did see it. I am picking up AC Brotherhood for $15, I already own RDR on disc and I'll skip Limbo since I picked it up from the HIB 5 a couple of weeks ago.

Edit: ongoing discussion about the below issue in wipeout 2048 thread in the Vita Forum, go there for input

I downloaded the wipeout bundle for 2048. When on the Vita, I select crossplay, and when I make a game room there are only 12 locations/tracks all of which can be reversed. So "24 tracks". Thing is, it had 4 locations to begin with, I thought the bundle was supposed to add 24, not bring it up to 24. Read the blog post a few pages back, and those who have 2048 take a look.

Oh well. Still an awesome freebie

You know they're holding out just to rub it in your face after your subscription expires
Are free games added for Psn + a monthly thing?
Yup, once a month. Two weeks from today is when the new free games will be added.

Oh I know.;) Honestly though, what is with the shit sales lately? Full retail games with their digital versions on 'sale' on PSN and with more of a % off for PS+ members.

Personally I think most Capcom & EA games blow, but I wouldn't mind seeing the other two Deathspank games go for $5-7 again sometime.

Iron Galaxy confirmed earlier this week that Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike: Online Edition is getting a patch really soon. Plus, less than twenty dollars for the greatest fighting game ever made (and all the dlc) seems like a pretty good deal.

Any suggestions for cheap(preferably < $10) rpgs that are Vita compatible? I already own Trails in the Sky, Hexyz Force, Ys 7, Oath in Felghana, FFIV Complete, and Valkyria Chronicles II.

Frisky there are a couple of add-ons you have not listed.
The DCUO Last Laugh DLC ($9.99) was released today and there is a new 'Huely' chopper for Choplifter HD ($.99)

Can't wait for Okami HD. Huge fan the first time round.
Now I can find out what all the fuss is about since I got rid of my PS2 in 2001, and never owned a Wii or DS.
I own all 3 versions and have never played it ;).
Wipeout 2048 is the Vita game. Wipeout HD is the PSN game and Fury is the big expansion DLC that they released for HD, which were both offered last June in the Welcome Back program.

If you have HD/Fury, you get both packs for 2048 for free. You can also buy the two Vita add-ons and get HD/Fury for free on PS3, which are the same price on both platforms ($7.99 each or $12.99 bundle). I don't think it matters which version of 2048 you have since it just needs to see that you have HD/Fury to give you the DLC for free.
Very interesting. So I got Wipeout free from the ApocalyPS3. I'm still playing catch-up on this thread since on Tuesday's it's like an irc chatroom. I own the Vita game. So I assume I could just go to the store and download the packs for free, that PSN will just know?

Yeah.
does anyone recommend the alien breed triolgy?
Not for that price.

I've only played the first one, kind of had to force myself through the end. It was kinda fun, but pretty generic. I paid $5 for each, I don't think I'd recommend them (the first one anyway) for more than $5.

yeah I was hoping there would be a plus discount on top of this bundle, I would have already bought it for $15 if it was there for that price.

Half-Minute Hero
Puzzle Quest

Cannot wait for Okami HD. Been wanting a HD version for some time, & adding in trophies, Move support, & making it $20 is a great deal.

Gonna pick up Tomba once Vita can play PSone Classics. Wanna get it, plus support MonkeyPaw in getting the sequel added to PSN as well.

Has anyone played Persona 3 Portable on their Vita? Does it look good on the Vita screen? I'm considering downloading it to play for a trip I have coming up and also in preparation for Persona 4 golden.

Yes, it looks quite good to me. An amazing game either way, if your planning to get into the series (Like i did), its a good way to start.
Okami HD will launch on PSN this fall, replete with PS3 Trophies and optional PS Move support. It will be priced at $19.99.

I'm... just... so happy right now. So very, very happy. I lent my buddy my Wii copy and he lost it, so this is just perfect! It's a gorgeous game already imho, with one of the best art styles I've ever seen. Only concern is if Capcom is doing the HD release, it'll basically be slightly upressed, with little to no textures "redone" or anything. Ah well.

Ultimate Ghosts N Goblins looks surprisingly good on the vita, i have a few psp games that i cannot play on vita because the upscale looks horrible, one of those is god of war GOS but Ultimate Ghosts N Goblins looks amazing, colors really pop out on that screen and after you apply the bilinear filter you can barely see any jaggies
does anyone recommend the alien breed triolgy?
If you really enjoy dual stick shooters, I feel like these games are good enough to want to play. At $7.50 an episode it isnt a bad price, but $5 would be better of course. I played through the trilogy last year and had a good time with them. They are just straight action, with blah graphics and story, but I found it fun anyway.
