You guys are idiots. You can't compare PSP and Vita for the same reason you can't compare two different games. We've been over this 100 times, and if there's anything admiralvic and affa taught me before they left, it's that you can only compare things that are exactly the same.

That's why you can compare Spelunky with Spelunky, but you can't compare Spelunky with Spelunker HD.

And also, if I were here to entertain your idiot comments, I'd bring up the fact that I never played the PSP and I had no problems with the Vita.

Keep talking like this and I'll rip your heads off.

Honestly, Spelunky doesn't even compare to Spelunky. I personally hated Spelunky, but then I sat down and played Spelunky and I ended up loving it. The mechanics are mostly the same, and it's almost as if Spelunky is a direct Frisky of Spelunky, but if you can get over that, you'll end up really enjoying it.

Even though it's one of my favorite 2013 releases, you should probably trade while it's still worth something. Rarely have I seen a game drop so quickly in value. You'll be able to cheaply re-buy the disc if you want it for your collection. I can't wait to replay since I bought a move after unloading it months ago.

It's too late to start an argument over this, isn't it? :cry: Guess one's perspective is largely determined by the order in which they play. I'll just say that very rarely do I get sucked into a world as I did with Columbia. Amazing shit, right there. I know people have an issue with the plot (which I still think is awesome), but I applaud it for the boldness. How many games even attempt to explore those sort of themes? Jingoism, religiosity, race... and then of course, the quantum physics stuff. Just so much to bite off. People claim Bioshock 1 did it better, but it's too damn creepy for my tastes.

Ahh, yes. Burly white man with a gun. Can't blame them for doing what's in their best financial interest. These things probably get focus grouped to death and, evidently, that's what sells. Game is sooo much more than that, though, for anyone wondering. In fact it seems like the gunplay is what a lot of people enjoyed the least.

I'm pumped for DMC.  Was really hoping they'd pick that for us, since it's high enough on my "want" list to play but a bit too low to buy.

Just bought Bioshock Infinite a couple of months ago from GameFly though, ugh.  Guess that's not all a loss since I got to play through Bioshock 1 as a result, though.

Move compatibility. Awesome. That would make a replay worthwhile. Never thought of that. Still have to pick up a move!
 
I got Tearaway from Santa. The fucker doesn't seem to understand that it's going to 100% be on the IGC eventually. Waste of money, Santa. But I also got Muramasa, Rayman Legends for Vita, and Ys. It was a very Vita Christmas. Anyone know when those games will be on the IGC?

finally bought a vita today with a 16gb card, decided I want the OLED screen before the new model kicks in, hopefully that's the right choice

can't wait to catch up on all the ps+ games

You must have quite the Vita backlog all saved up from PSN. So many good games you have to go through. Welcome to the awesome Exclusive Vita Club!

 
Tearaway is fun and my 11 year old absolutely adored it. He already beat the game, but I'm still working on my save and we have lots of paper craft to unlock. He has already made a few of them. I paid $30 for it, but I'm OK with it. It's worth that.

Random question, does anyone know how frequently the PSN store does the "Spend $50, get $10" type deals? I believe there was one in October but I don't think that was the first time that they did it. Thanks in advance!

Dunno about the _first_ time, but they did it in March too, if I remember correctly. Was a few weeks before they did the big PS All-Stars franchise sales.

 
I wish I had the time to platinum some games. I guess if I bought less and played less it wouldn't be so hard but PS+ and PS+ sales have probably diminished any hope of that. I guess I could probably platinum some stuff on Vita but I'm pretty much just happy when I finish something and can move on to another game at this point.

Just gotta go for easy plats like me. Only one of my platinums required a second play through. Sure a few took a little extra after beating the main game, but nothing to bad. Sly 1 & Walking Dead are good "Just beat the game for a plat" games.

I'm actually playing The Walking Dead on Vita currently :). I have the Sly Collection but nearing the end of the 2nd game since I beat the first on PS2. Not sure I'd be playing through it again. Good to know though. So maybe with The Walking Dead and Tearaway I'll be able to get a few :)

 
Will Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 2 ever go on sale? I can't even remember the last time it did.

I also have a gripe with DJMax Technika Tune and Work Time Fun while we're at it.

It's usually every October, at least the last two have been.

Looks like Mass Effect 2 DLC was on sale in the second week of January a little over a year ago, crossing my fingers for a Mass Effect 1 and ME3 DLC sale in a couple of weeks.

Oh wow. That's a long time to wait for the next one haha. I was looking to pick up some PSP games for my new Vita. Any chance that there's a sale on them to close out 2013 or are they pretty much going to hold their price at this point?
