Getting burned is if you bought this 15 days ago. 15 months ago seems like it would beyond the statute of limitations for getting burned. That being said, I understand the disappointment of things like this.

Also, regarding those debating whether to get Okami or wait to see if it goes free for PS Plus - It really shows the flaw in Sony's plan for Plus. People like me may avoid buying something forever simply because of the hope that it will be free someday. Sony really needs to address this since this is a recurring theme for a lot of games. I wonder how many sales are lost (digital or even retail) because people anticipate a future PS Plus release. I don't have any answers for Sony - just pointing out the problem. I do think Sony plans to address it to some extent with PS4 since they seem to be making a lot of Indie games free on day one for Plus members.

Also, the new Devil May Cry isn't in that list, my CAG sense is tingling, so we are probably getting that for PS+ US soon ;)

 
Oh mother of pearl.  I've been waiting since I got the system for an Okami HD sale and just bought it on Wii two weeks ago.  Going to grab the Chronicles of Mystara, that demo was pretty fun.  Glad I waited on Remember Me but that also makes it more likely that we're going to see it for $10 before the end of the year.  Hate that I bought all this stuff a day before the holiday return period at GS started.

Didn't know there was a specific definition for getting "burned"... I was referring to the fact that I could've waited since I haven't played the game yet. So yeah, in a sense I "burned" myself.

Anyhow, I think I may end up getting Bionic Commando Rearmed from this sale.

Eh. You're always going to get burned by game sales unless you wait for them to reach the lowest price ever.

 
Sorry if this has been asked, but I assume okami hd is move compatible? Is it worth it to get a move for this? Do I need an eye and a move controller or navigation as well. Never had any move components before. I've played okami on ps2 but it's been so long. And I loved it.

It is Move compatible, but from everything I hear it still plays better with a standard controller.

I don't get too bent out of shape when a game I bought on sale goes free on PS+.  That just means most of the free games I play on PS+ were games I didn't have a high enough interest in to buy, but that doesn't mean they aren't good and I often get nice surprises that way.  It also means I truly own the games I really wanted in the first place.

I'm excited, even though I have no frickin' idea when I'm going to play it (or anything else) because of GTAV.

Really pleased with this weeks update. Remember Me, D&D, and Okami for me, I have everything else I am interested in, but those are some great games at good prices.

Haha I really hope this was some type of troll post. The only thing they really have in common are that both are pretty simple to beat. Beyond that, Okami is a 30+ hour Zelda-esque action adventure game. Journey is a 4 hour experience that involves jumping.

EDIT: No offense to anyone who enjoyed Journey (I didn't), but when it comes to gameplay, Okami and Journey are night and day.

Hello! I just picked up a PS3 super slim today. I have previously been very active on Xbox (still am, actually). The Gamestop deal was too good. My question is, I plan on buying PS Plus eventually, but I was wondering if there is any way to get a free month trial (like on Xbox)?Thanks to whoever answers!

I usually don't feel burned when purchasing great games especially at $20 and under. If I bought something at launch (which I never do anyway) and it was $20 a few weeks later I might feel burned.

 
I have Okami for Wii and have never played it, so I guess I'll just play it on there when I get to it. I may be in for Bionic Commando Rearmed (1 only). And I'll grab Poker Night 2 since it's "free".

 
Wow this is perfect! I had been eyeing Bionic Commando Rearmed on Steam but really wanted a version with achievements, and like everyone else had been waiting for a Okami HD sale. Will be buying both.

 
maybe just pass on picking up a move, full stop. unless you really like light gun games and want to play like 3 pretty good ones.

The original Bionic Commando is amazing. The sequel is alright, but it is bloated by about 6 levels and the upgrade system really doesn't work very well. BCR2 is also handicapped by that wonderful Capcom DRM (so is Final Fight) but I don't know if the original BCR has that same DRM issue.

Rearmed 2 fails because they completely botched the difficulty curve for the last 1/3rd of the game. It's really good up to those last few levels as you get a handle of the new way that it controls before they just start kicking you in the nuts over and over again.

The closest thing that Okami ever had to a sale was after its release last fall when Sony had another big cashback promotion and it was one of the games that many people picked up towards their $50 goals.

On the topic of getting burned. You cannot get burned if you buy a game you're not really itching to play, especially if it's way, way before a sale happens. You've just made a bad purchase. Don't buy things you don't really want and you'll be in a better place.

Right. As I've stated before, I realize it's my fault and a few dollars isn't the end of the world. At the time I fully intended to play Okami within a month of buying it, but life/work/other great games got in the way. Not mad though, I'm sure it's worth way more than the $20 I spent on it.

I see money/remedy struck again.I haven't bought anything in a while. This capcom sale may change that. If the allin cabinet is all the games I will start there. Maybe final fight and bcr as well.

I have played it on all platforms and while the PS3 version freezes a lot and has some issues with off sync audio, I didn't have as many problems with it as I did the 360 version (which constantly locked up my 360 so I'd have to restart it). The PC version is, by far, the best which probably doesn't come as a surprise, but the PS3 version is definitely playable.

For anybody interested in Sportsfriends that didn't back it on Kickstarter, I just got an update on it and it's been delayed to January 2014 from its original October 2013 release timeframe. They've said that they're basically done with the port, but they have a lot of polishing and all of that to do that'll keep it from launching soon. There is good news in that email, which is that they're bringing Sportsfriends to the PS4 and all backers for the PS3 version get the PS4 version for free.

My PS3 died on me recently and I haven't replaced it yet, but feel free to add me if you want. I'll accept when I land a new one. GT on 360 is the same if you want to add me there.

To any of you that might be interested in an update, I was able to get my PS3 running long enough to get some saves backed up to cloud. The screen kept flickering on and off throughout the whole process and there were several times I was sure it was going to die on me, but it kept chugging along. Doubt it will last through a system-to-system transfer but at least I got the most important stuff.

Lesson learned; take advantage of the cloud.
