I decided to pick up Tearaway on the PSN even though Im currently neck deep in new games right now. I wanna support MM for a job well done. I hope its sells well. But damn, Its gonna be a crazy Friday for games. You have Tearaway, Mario 3D World, and Zelda all releasing on the same day. Plus the new motherfuckin Hunger Games movie opens as well. Gonna be a great day for sure. :D

"Highlights" from Polygon's 12hr Xbone stream

I thought some of you would enjoy this. I made a new thread so the discussion can be kept over there.

Yeah, the screws are what I was worried about too after reading up on the whole process. Its so easy though that if you're aware of the problem, that in itself pretty much guarantees you won't have a problem.
The screws on my PS3 were so damned stubborn that I knew I would strip them if I kept trying (didn't have a power drill). I actually ended up having to file them a little bit to create flat edges so I could grip them with pliers to unscrew them. It didn't take long but it was a pretty frustrating process.

Damn it. I added Stranger's Wrath and Binary Domain to my cart, and without paying attention I clicked my way through the checkout like I usually do with a cart full of free stuff, and ended up getting charged $14.99 for Stranger's Wrath :( I had $50 in credit, so it just took it out of that.

Now I'm poking around trying to find any evidence that this was indeed a PS+ freebie, and I can't find it. I know I have an up-to-date PS+ account (expires in January).

EDIT: Well, right on the darn PS blog: http://blog.us.playstation.com/2013/11/18/ps-plus-binary-domain-oddworld-strangers-wrath-free-for-members/

Gonna have to ping support about this. Not happy about getting dinged $15.

Gonna be a pretty epic weekend me thinks. I used that Target B2G 30% of coupon to pick up Tearaway today. I thought it was street dated for tomorrow, but they had it out. I'm not expecting to want to pick up anything else at Target between now and when the thing was set to expire, so blowing it on a non-$60 game was fine with me.

Hahah, you probably bought the PS3 version. I love reading these stories. Take half a second to make sure your cart says $0.00 before confirming.

Has Sony said anything about a possible Black Friday digital game deals event for next week's update?

I hope they price match or better some games from other retailers.

Not necessarily. After the lastest update in preparation for the PS4 launch, I noticed that the PSN store has been charging for free Plus games during checkout. Thank goodness I had read on here this past week when people were having similar problems when I was getting all the free games for the PS4. I had added Warframe to my cart. It clearly stated that it was free for me. But after I added two other free PS4 games to my cart, Warframe went back to being $14.99 or so during checkout. I then had to remove Warframe and checked the other two games out first, and then check it out separately for it to show up correctly. This past Tuesday the same thing happened to Binary Domain. It would show up as free on it's webpage, but shows up in my cart as $19.99 or whatever they were charging for it. I had to keep removing it from my cart, logged out, then logged back in multiple times before it shows up free in my cart as well.

Isnt Warframe free for everyone?

I take it you guys aren't big soccer fans. I mean I really only follow the local MLS team and international (like the World Cup) and I definitely know who "the FIFA guy" is.
Well I'm american so soccer is something that exists somewhere far, far away. Like dragons, magic and the force.

So I added a bunch of games to my cart and then closed my eyes and hit the x button a hundred times. Now it says I got charged $450 for 150 copies of Amy! What the fuck, Sony? I didn't even know you could buy multiple copies of a digital game. If only there were safeguards in place to prevent this bullshit.

It's a good thing you bought 150 Amys or I would have been lost to how many Amys you actually spent.

yeah, that might've actually been a good investment. the value can only go up!

p.s. if anyone cares looks like best buy will carry tearaway in store, or so stock checkers are telling me. they're also carrying injustice vita. I still need one more 39.99 title to properly use my gcu b2g1 coupon though. too bad they only carry doa5 classic and not the newer one.

jay_remedy is right. There should have been a safeguard. That kind of thing should be a core feature.

Doesn't surprise me though, they don't even let you use paypal.

I added it to my cart using the link from the first post, which right now is for the Vita version. When I click the purchase history for my account, it also says it's the Vita version. The support person also confirmed that I bought the Vita version and confirmed that it should have been free. Also, the receipt I was emailed does not say it's the Vita version, but it does say how big it is (1.41GB). The Vita version on the store is listed at 1.4GB and the PS3 version is listed at 1.5GB.

All of this makes me... fairly... certain that I bought the Vita version :twoguns:

Curious why this isn't a cross-buy... all games should be damn it!!

I think the thing that borked it was that I added it to my cart yesterday, did not complete the purchase, and then when I turned on my computer today I noticed I had two items in my cart and finished it real quick without looking at the price quick enough.

Oh well. Sony's fixing it for me, although it'll be a few days before my credit shows up in my account.

Just played ibb and obb with my wife, I'm feel ashamed in my relentless effort to search for the dying breed of fun couch co op games, I have never came across this gem before.

If it makes you feel better it only came out in August and was overshadowed in that promo by Ducktales, Stealth Inc, and Cloudberry Kingdom.

Here's something odd I just noticed: Warframe and Sound Shapes are just gone from the system. Played them both in the last day or two and just realized both have vanished.

Didn't you hear jayremedy had another hoarding episode on the PSN. He bought so many copies of Warframe and Sound Shapes that Sony is taking our copies away and giving them to him.

I'm gonna try and find a friend to play that game with me locally. Not really digging the gameplay with online randoms, I've heard the later levels are far too tough to beat without lots of communication.

I'm on my phone so I can't link to it easily, but a December ad has leaked that confirms a PS4/Vita bundle coming in early December. No price was on the scan I saw but the box art and everything else was legit.

This would be awesome if it was priced at $500 but in all likelihood it'll be around $550-$600.

New post on the US Blog that lists sales on PS stuff that I had not even seen in the BF ad scans.

Looks like best deal on Vita will be Best Buy starting on Sunday for $170 unless Amazon does something even better.

If I go get a Vita from Best Buy today can I get the price adjustment that weekend? If yes, does it have to be in store or can I call customer service? It says all models, do you think that includes Walking Dead?

I've wanted a Vita for some time and been waiting patiently for a deal at Best Buy since I have a huge amount of gift card credit there.

I would just wait and get one Sunday morning. I do not think you could get credit back without going back to the store. It would have to be unopened then for that to work. So why not just wait until Sunday?

I would expect that it would include all bundle versions they have, yes. However, some people got emails about it being the 3G version on sale. So if it is just the 3G version, I am not sure if they have bundles for that model or not.

Actually, eBay for $149.99- http://bfads.net/Black-Friday/eBay/Ad?page=1

That blog post was... not that accurate, what with leaving out some options for getting a Vita, and both TLoU and Beyond: TS can be found for less than $39.99 next week!

I did not know about the ebay thing, thanks. People would need to decide if they would prefer the 3G model or possibly a bundle with a game and small memory card for $20 more though.

The Blog does mention that there were better options than $40 for those games with the parenthetical part. Also, ebay is not going to be considered a retail partner with Sony. It is just a store front for multiple online sellers. I would be surprised if Sony had a clue that was even going on.

It was a UK ad so possibly won't make it over here.

Far bigger news to me from that same ad was Terraria Vita releasing December 4th in UK. Hopefully December 3rd here!!!

Where are the Black Friday deal sites getting that info from? It's not mentioned anywhere on eBay and they don't do circulars, so how could an ad have been leaked?

Well we already knew it would be at least Amazon and Gamestop, but this does sound like it is likely to be even more widespread.
The blog says it's limited to 2 per person. That's a little weird unless they're going to sell it on the Playstation store too.

I do not think that at all. My guess would be that Sony is subsidizing that sale on PS Plus cards and they asked for a limit of 2. Sony considers the retailers their partners. If they sold it for the same price on the PSN store on the same day the retailers are trying to entice people to come into their stores, it would not make the partners very happy.

So not sure that anyone cares but putting a wi-fi extender in the bedroom helped with my Remote Play issues upstairs. This is the one I got:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833704187

The setup was simple with WPS, just started the service on the router and held a button on the extender for a few minutes. Once I had a full signal on the Vita I was able to connect without issue. I didn't notice any new lag on my network I believe because my router is good about separating and negotiating traffic. It's actually a good thing too because HBO Go and streaming from my NAS will work on my Tablet upstairs now too. :) Happy camper!

I FINISHED MY BACKLOG! well on the PS4 I finished Contrast via Remote Play and I had finished Flower the other day. So now I can just screw around some more with Resogun and NBA2K14 until something else comes along. I could also you know get back to the real backlog on the PS3\360. Lol.

Oh wow I didn't realize it was this Sunday. I thought it was for Black Friday weekend (I'd be out of town plus have no desire to go anywhere near Best Buy between BF and Xmas). I really hope the blog is correct and I can get a vita deal on Sunday.

I think Bestbuy has early access to Black Friday deals for elite members. So thats probably why it starts Sunday and its not for everyone. I may be wrong though.

I wondered if that was it as well. However, if the dates are right on the Vita sale, it does not even extend to Black Friday. Plus, the Vita is not in the ad scan for Best Buy. It looks like it is an early sale. People that got emails about it said it mentioned something called Blue Monday. With their color being Blue, sounds like just an early sale of some sort. I guess it still could be just for Reward Zone though, but it doesn't appear to be part of the early sale.

We played for an hour, and the levels already required not only frequent communication but also very precise coordination. These kind of games are a dying breed, normally co op games can be blasted through by both players spraying bullets.

Glad to hear the repeater/extender worked for you.
